    BikerTroll and Crioxus like this.
  2. I'm guessing Siege pits one side to defend a series of control points from the other team while Assault has both teams trying to take and hold as many CPs as possible.

I also assume that the Siege modes will be the Fortress Maps which have Gates that attackers need to destroy first. :)
Shakes, Joram and Hell_Grunt like this.
  4. If we remember the past streams of The Attackers need to push the enemy back by capturing different type of objectives will be seige. Then the Capture point thing we've been seeing lately will be assault

    Hey, console's confirmed!

Also, Seige should hopefully be a 5 point system with 3 "middle" points and two "bases" with the middle points generating a much less VP than the bases. Good for point defence over the main bases and also trying to be aggressive on the other points.

Assault should be just like Rush from BF3. One side of attackers, one defenders. No spawn limit, only time and/or victory.

Dont like the arena shooter stuff in EC.
Why bother with things that shouldn't be in the end game.
    Don't need a k/d score board too.
Matsukovich, Dragun16, Shakes and 3 others like this.
  7. I'm hoping to see a "Sabotage" option once we see the zones open up more and there's more of an open world setting. . Where a small group of players(10 to 20 players) can enter a zone and destroy, repair, or hack/hijack certain key installations via hit and run attacks without having to execute a full blown head to head siege on a fortified structure.

If our only goal and option for every zone is to conduct all out assaults on on static, fortified bunkers and fortresses, that will get old rather quick. The sabotage option will also be a more attractive option for players that prefer to run in small groups rather than the only option being following the Zerg.

I foresee problems ahead if the only way players can accomplish anything in the campaign requires running with 80 to 100 man Zergs with the only 2 options being attack or defend your fort and outposts. A subterfuge option is a must.
    Redthirst and Crioxus like this.

In the future, I hope to have more opportunities like that.
More options (Create small missions to favor one side or the other (with points, bonuses)).
In which all factions skills will be used.

Need I remind you that Planetside 2 has a scoreboard? Also, the capture system is the same as Battlefield and Planetside, what's your point? The game they promised 2 years from now will have the exact same thing.

Because a K/D removes focus from team play and has you compete against those even in your own team. Instead, the score should be a measure of how much you've contributed to the team. If people are counting kills, they shouldn't do it by an engagement by engagement basis unless they were having a friendly competition (like Gimli and Legolas.) K/D can be measured over a career. But the scoreboard should reflect how much effort you're putting towards your team.

A great way to achieve this would be to look at how professional players are ranked in their sport. On one hand there might be a guy with 30 kills for every death he's had because he's good at sitting in a lane with a heavy bolter waiting for people to walk by utterly useless corridors. (the mother f'ing Kicker who gets paid to push his team 3 points higher than the other team by spending 30 seconds on the field) but compared to the guy who wins matches by bagging an average of 4 enemy objectives and defending 10 of their own points but has a negative K/D because of it, (a no name Lock pushing the Scrum), I know who I'm going to want on my team - it's the guy who practically ensures his team victory every game.
