I don't think he was talking about me getting banned but the stomping players into the ground and shit talking them. We wouldn't beat someone at something and shit talk them in person as it's considered unprofessional and rude. Most places would fire you or kick you out for doing such things. The people who do it are commonly called trash.

Why would he be talking about that? People trashtalking for 30 seconds is not nearly on the same level as trying to force through further changes to "think of the children" such as it is; anyone old enough to play this game legally is old enough to ignore the words at the bottom of the screen. Trying to get peoples' ability to communicate taken away instead of asking for a measure which allows personal responsibility for blocking something you don't want to see is horrendous and far, far worse, but I don't think he's right in calling for you to be permabanned for it.

Being mature is finding ways to do things that doesn't limit others but still gives you what you want. Please don't lecture about a topic you're unfamiliar with, you've already shown you're agitating for extreme responses to things.

Although for that to be implemented in EC we would need a better ping and commands functionality. Right now the pings/marker do work kind of alright for squad leaders but for normal squaddies they are not really meaningful.

Why would they be punished for that? As long as you can ignore them, and they are not able to disrupt the entire system, then let them be. That's actual maturity. Trying to impose your own fringe moral views as a system of power is what should be shunned, but do you even recognize what you're doing?

The only part I can agree with is that their behavior should not hurt the community. It's not that they need to stop their behavior, it's that players need a way to block seeing things from specific others. That way everyone is happy and can tailor things to their wants and needs, no more no less, and no heavy-handed restrictions need to be enacted that limit others who would be unintentionally affected.

The person is being toxic. Why is that ok or acceptable? Why am I wrong for wanting this person to stop this harmful behavior? Now I know how the officers in my city feel.
