What do you all think of the new map? I myself have so far found that it's HUGE and very asthetically pleasing. A few issues I've found with it (so far) is that it's a little too big for 15 vs 15. Even with that though, I've noticed a big increase in the number of vehicles moving around on the field. The fact that you also have to foot slog absent a vehicle across part of the map, to slowly make your way to another capture point where you can actually SEE from a distance fighting going on is very cool. It certainly gives off that feeling you're in a massive battle. What're your guys's thoughts?
AWESOME! Point A is made for jump assaults, haven't had SO MUCH FUN in some time! Point B is ranged fest, I'll avoid it in the future. Point C pretty balanced for both. Love long cooldowns on vehicles, makes sense now to get repair kits and use them as well as having someone stay by that rhino to defend it, vehicles are now tremendous advantage, but don't swarm the field. With more people on field, so all points can be contested this map will be so awesome.
I won't be able to play it for a few more hours but please someone tell me there's nice big areas to make use of HB and Braced positions? A bit tired of my class being pretty worthless in the plethora of tight roomed areas.
at low setting its too dark, cannot see anything around me and its get worst when damaged. And i don't talk about frame rate...
Some wierd bugs. Chaos dying then seeing their HP regen and alive again. and again. and again. Some texture holes. Devastators are in a lot of trouble when facing little rock steps and can't walk/jump through them. You can also get stuck in some places without being able to get out because of this (I had to grenade-suicide). The vehicules spawn points are sometimes out of map bounds, so you get a timer when trying to get one. Devastators DPS is exactly at the right place now. The map is cool, but it needs a LOT of work and bugs fixing. Also can't find what the surprises are.
There are many open spaces, and lots of cover between the capture points for you to utilize your Heavy Bolter, the only tight spaces are capture points B and C. But there are also a few bugs on the map, a lot of the open areas where you can brace a heavy bolter have too much terrain in front of them. It forces your targeting reticle right up to the rock and you cant shoot past it.
Vehicles have improved somewhat. They don't stutter while they move so much anymore. Though the treads still get lagged behind.
First match on it : - Nice map. Lots of positions available for HB - Some path are buggued. If you fall of the bridge between A and B, you can't go up and have to die cause stuck by 1m rock
It'd also seem that the obstacles that originally you could run over with your tank now stop your vehicle completely in its tracks.. I got a rhino stuck in a vertical posistion trying to ride over them.
