just curious how much work wolud to make a in game tool to make some short movies on pvp 1v1 i meant not real pvp but for fun directed movies to other players watch them ?
  2. my guess would be something between 1-2 man-month on programming side, but a bit hard to say, depending also on how much performance it must have, sadly storing away a pic of each frame costs cpu and I/O. but there is plenty of tools out there doing exactly this, e.g. fraps
    Cyclog likes this.

Maybe you could implement twitch support?

Would allowing people to stream directly to Twitchtv be something you would look into in the future? I know its not a priority but when the game is finished
  6. not exactly sure what you mean - do you mean you want some sort of "this are the skills and combat styles I want to use in battle" - list, and then just press a button and the character will perform them?
I am a bit confused tbh.
well I think it will end up also being some work if a tool like that needs to be integrated - but I am not saying no to any of this, just saying that the plans to do it are not there yet.

I could be wrong but I 'think' he's talking about some sort of Machinima tool, create a stage/enviroment for two characters/models/skeletons to act out pre-defined attacks which can be recorded., but I'm probably wrong.
  8. well if it's something like that, we definitely have no plans for that at this moment - on the other hand we might be able to do it very easy by using some of the AI we are doing anyway - but let's wait on a reply from him to see what exactly he is interested in :)

well i dont know if my english is good enough to explain :p

1st mode of *directing* or *creating* u setup some attacks or skills in a quene and they are used one by another then u switch modes and u *watch* it like cutscene in second mode while characters execute quened skills etc. (2nd mode u only observe action u cant do anything)

aww sorry i cant put it diffrent well maybe its is too complicated to work/develop in action game :p

Could you perhaps give an example of a game that this has been done through and a video showing the result?

Sometimes a picture says more than a thousand words in this case. 8D
(In this case, it'd be a video! )
