Too much Melee / Make Tactical great again

    Last days against LSM wasn't fun. Mostly we defend as Orks. It get's really arkward, when suddenly 5 shieldbros, 2 Apothecaries and 1 Tactical storm the cap point. How do you defend against this?

    What makes you think you dont? Since game is not about 1 v1 duels you know how your chance over other class is calculated? Probability of 1v1 times your chance in 1v1 + probability of 1 v 2 times your chance in 1 v 2 + etc, etc.

    Balancing one term in an entire series where its not even a major term is a bad idea

    they dont. But GA without life leech has it bad as well. Only raptors with leech bug can thrive

    There is a balance in melee/ranged. There is no balance in factions overall.
    Stop quoting posts you don't understand.
    Ranged can beat melee 1v1. L2play then. Or try another game.

    I think OP have some decent points there, right now its quite difficult to use a tatical in close ranged combat considering the speed of the game and how the spawning system is working right now (it forces u to rush towards the cap point or lose it for good in most cases).

    But, I feel the white elephant in the room is the frustrating balance issues and stability of the servers right now, I've been just playing skirmishes now cause Grand Battles are ridiculesly laggy up to the point where you can even see the bullets going out of the barrel of your bolter after a second or 2 of delay wich frankly is absurd.

    I say lets wait to have this two main issues (balance and stability) resolved, then we can fully agree that one thing or another should be Nerfed/Buffed.

    Simplest way to balance melee/ranged classes without manipulating mechanics?
    Redesign maps. Move most of objectives outside of closed areas. Remove some objects that are blocking line of sight completely.
    Right now every melee fighter can outflank almost every position that is good for ranged class player... get to his back unnoticed and finish him with 2 or 3 hits. And how many areas are so open that ranged class (not counting plasma cannons and they equivalents) can fire at enemy who have no place to run / roll back for cover?
    How many times it was pointed? Plenty... Any changes with maps design? No... devs are sticking to their ideas... every new map is the same.
