Good luck Behaviour! I think that releasing the game as unfinished as it is you will need it. Hell... we all need it. I want to see this game as great as it should be at release.
The game has had rough spots, and still has issues; but damn am I stoke for it. I love the TPS aspect of Warhammer 40,000, and this game scratches that long itch I've had for another Space Marine-esque title. Sure I know not everyone liked that game and prefer the RTS of DoW, but I got tired of that for a while. Space Marine, Eternal Crusade, and soon Space Hulk Deathwing bring much needed perspective shifts to the genre and I'm glad for it. Left my review on Steam. The game isn't in the best state right now at launch; but to be honest, what game is? I think the best thing we can do as a community, is band together and fight FOR the game; issues and all. I know a lot of people feel ripped off for whatever reason, and some are salty because X didn't make it into launch or it X was pushed back in development; but considering that they plan on supporting this game for the foreseeable long term, a lot of that has a good chance of being included given enough time. So, I say put aside the hate or loathing and support the game. Unless you really do want the game to fail and see another GW mobile game be made instead.
Honestly, I'm quite surprised at the amount of people who are wishing EC and Behaviour well... The drama and vitriol on the forum was kinda getting a bit ridiculous (though understandable a bit). It's good to see that most of the people (who have responded so far at least) aren't so vindictive. And on the note of people commenting "The Emperor Protects".... OI! WOTZ ALL DIS 'BOU DA EMPRAH PROTEC'IN' GITZ!? IF YA WANT DEEZ BRAINY-BOYZ TA WIN, WISH EM DA POWER OF GORK OR MORK! BUT NOT BOFF. I DUN' FINK PINK OOMZIES COULD 'ANDLE DA BLESSIN' OF TWO ORK GODS! (Evun unna da gods might be too much fur dem fellas.)
I remember 2-3 years ago, some news about a 40k game. So I went to a very simple website with this background And my mind exploded with the ideas and the concept of the game, and now we are here 1 day to launch... Congrats bE! I know there is a lot of haters, heretics, unhappy people, whiners and etc but we are here all together just waiting for this moment, let's celebrate tomorrow killing each other!
So, the year was 2012 and some rumors of a warhammer 40k where in the internet-warp. Something about a mmo. Yeah, It was a overhype to think that a small studio could make a big ass open world, and some of my dreams died when I heard that was not longer the case year later. But I woke up, and think a bit, and started to read about how this game was going. It was more simple but it works. For years, I wanted to play a online game of 40k. I wanted to play orks! My beloved green mean killing machines! And even there is a chance that this could get bigger. Maybe not as big as we heard before, but kynda. To the devs, you are making the game of my dreams, I will hope the best for you, for the players, for me. You are working in something I hope you enjoy. I've enjoyed every minute being part of this awsome community and every bit of the dev work. I can realize some frustration from early founders cause their experience of awsomeness devided by time would be a lot less (math, don't worry if you don't get it). Still I think this is the best game I've bought on steam in 9 years (yes it was TF2). Thanks you, guys!
It actually started for me waaaaaaaay back when I learned about Dark Millennium (which is actually what I made my icon from and for). It was supposed to be a bit more of a traditional MMO with heavier RPG elements and stuff, but.... it didn't pan out, got canceled and I had many sads.... Then I learned about Eternal Crusade and been following off and on pretty close to day 1. I've had high hopes, and I've been let down on most of them, but... This still has a great deal of potential to be amazing game. Side-Note: Apparently, if Reddit is to be believed, the launch patch is live. See you guys on the battlefield.
