Well it lets people paint their necrons without others being all "Hey, necrons don't have strips of yellow right there." So I can have that cool Necron Lord with the biggest headdress to show he's a boss and wear all type of trophies that show it as well. Besides, they still lack most of their emotion, they still don't have souls and such, they somehow pulled a trick on the C'tan after the War in Heaven was over.
Still I don't like it personally so much, but that's my opinion ^^ I rather imagine Necrons as soulless Reapers who just want to annihilate any living thing just because of the heck of it.
I don't actually despise ALL of his stuff. For example, what he did to the Necrons. (altough I still love my ancient-terminators-from-space) That, and a few small pieces of lore he's included in his Codexes. But that is it. Flaying the Daemonhunters and turning them into yet more SPESS MUHREESN FOR DA EMPRAH, the godless abomination that the Ultramarines are nowadays, seeming to have a strong urge to murder all Adepta Sororitas in existence, and the fact his skills as an actual writer are appalling - as can be seen in most of the "characters" (if they can be called that) in his Codexes. I needn't elaborate on this, as it has been discussed in many a blog, article and the like. In short, were he to be fired right now, I would not miss him. 40.000 would be better for it. Seeing as that is unlikely, we can only hope he improves on his complete and utter lack of writing-skill and knowledge of what makes interesting characters/armies.
I stopped buying their products so stopped caring. That said taking the piss out of Ward is always fun
He made everyone hate my favourite chapter. I mean, I stopped WH40k when Ultramarines were just generic and nobody had a problem with them, some years ago, and when I come back, I find THIS. Now I have to write walls of text to explain people that Ultramarines are a good chapter, I have to justify myself why I like what I like and i must endure stupid trolls everywhere I go. I won't ever forgive him.
Look at it like this. You're new and you see this cool blue armor guy on a box or book and look into it a bit... then you're soon like 'fook yah! ultramarines are righteous as fook!' and now you're into it and all like 'humans rawr' for the next while... you might branch out later once you learn more, but smurfs hook a lot of people! They're still cool too.
