And so, I shall be hosting an Imperial RP - quite simple, to be honest. OOCly, I'll have far more limits on what there is, keeping everything at Guardsman-level equipment, as well as having two "special" slots (ie; Ogryn, Stormtrooper, psyker, etc.), and ONE Commissar slot.
There will be ONE 'Elite' slot (Astartes / Xenos) that is allowed. If this gets to 8 or more characters, this will be increased to THREE 'Special' Slots, and TWO 'Elite' slots; of which, Astartes will be limited to being UNDER Captain level; meaning Sergeants at the most.

    CHARACTER SHEET
    NAME: Self-explanatory
    RACE: Self-explanatory.
"CLASS": Only really usable for the 'Special' & 'Elite' slots, for normal characters it's simple Guardsmen-Equivalent
EQUIPMENT: What are you equipped with? Of course, don't go crazy with this!
    PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Der.
HISTORY: Not the class in school, but your character's background.

There isn't very much in terms of limits of what regiments there is to RP, except what would be logical; obviously, no Chem-dogs or the like. "Homebrew" Regiments ARE technically allowed, though I will need a detailed personal-message beforehand, to approve of it or not.
Xenos (if someone takes such a thing!) will have to DM me beforehand for the character in question, so I can see on whether I can squeeze it in or not. Astartes are in the same boat as the Imperial Regiments; whether the homebrewed Chapter will work or not.

The 'paradise' world of Fenix would be a shining Jewel in the Pholevia sector, lasting many millennia out of harm's way - fate would have it become a world known for its beauty to many Guardsmen who were sent to it for R&R. Numerous casino's, many hotels, sports events, gaming stations, and military bases that were as luxurious as any upper-classman's mansion.
The Port-city of Tristam is where many regiments land at, from where they then are sent to different parts of the world depending upon the Regiment's commander's decision; though of course, many still remain in the shining Jewel. While certainly not as beautiful and almost utopian as the Capital itself of New Atrassa, it was favoured by many Guardsmen, Cadian & otherwise, for its splendor and mere reputation. The first stop for R&R has to be memorable, after all.

Little did the population know, even as the distant war was being won, would there be a new one that would start upon their very soil for the first time since the Horus Heresy.

If it's fine, I'll call dibs on one Special slot to make an Enginseer.

The Mighty @High_Adept_Zeth shall defer to that! If you both end up deciding upon taking the Admech slot, I shall see about finding an entertaining way for you to both fight to the Death for it.
Or, near-death. We need both of you.
  4. Submitting a Application for Commissar Position.

    Name:
    Brom Torgard
    Gender: Male
    Age: 35
    Race: Human
    Height: 6'1"
    Weight: 178 lbs.
    Homeworld: Fenris
    Occupation: Departmento Munitorum
    Rank: Commissar
    Faction: Imperium of Man

Bio: Torgard was born to the planet Fenris, a frozen, harsh world, home to the famed Space Wolves chapter of the Adeptus Astartes. At a young age, his parents, Imperial officials, departed the planet, after receiving transfer to the Ecclesiarchy world of Genevus. During the long voyage through the depths of space, the transport ship fell under attack from the fell forces of Chaos, as a warband hailing from the traitorous Night Lords assaulted the vessel, sweeping through the defending forces with unnatural might. His father dying during the opening onslaught, attempting to zealously hold back the invaders, Torgard was hurried away with his mother, in an attempt to save themselves. Torgard hid within the crawlspace between two of the metal walls within the ship, as his mother died distracting the pursuing traitors, her final words to her son imploring him to remain faithful to the Emperor, her dying screams "The Emperor Protects". Now the traitors hunted through the ship, seeking the child that had escaped them, and during this time, Torgard felt dread and panic, yet never uttered a single noise, remaining motionless in his hiding spot, praying to the God-Emperor, not for mercy or aid, but merely to give him a chance to grow, to better himself, so that he might battle such invaders of his lord's domain in His name. Miraculously, Imperial warships jumped out of a transit not far from the slaughtering, and the Night Lord's, their navy too small to ensure their survival, withdrew from the ship, fleeing the system.

Torgard, recovered from the wreckage as one of it's few survivors, was allowed to remain with the Imperial warships, who would make a stop to refuel and refit over Genevus, leaving him in the care of the Schola Progenium, a school run by the fanatical forces of the Imperial Creed. Here, Torgard excelled in his devotion to the God-Emperor, and soon was brought into the ranks of the Commissariat, receiving the training he would need in order to effectively command and inspire the armies of man. Despite this zealous growth, the blood of Fenris still ran through his veins, and he was often seen as much more open minded than his peers, open to discussion and debate, before ultimately deciding one's fate. It was this that saw him first assigned to the famed imperial guard force, The Death Korps of Krieg. Here he serves as his regiment's second in command, often seen either giving advice to regiment's commander, or directly influencing the tide of battle from the front lines. Having spent over five years with the regiment, Torgard is one of it's older members, and often is seen as a Patriarch figure by the normally well disciplined men, many having come from the result of cloning, and thus lacking an actual father. Having never once needed to execute a soldier under his command, Torgard hold's his regiment in high standards, and thus his force is one of much recognition for it's deeds.

Personality: Torgard is often seen as a fatherly figure to those under his command, and when compared to his fellow commissars, he is noted for being of a calmer demeanor. To newcomers, he often shows and air of distrust, his loyalty gift he does not readily give, yet is more than willing to work with any allies to accomplish the task given to him. His loyalty to the God-Emperor is absolute, and he shows such dedication through his work, quoting such inspirational works such as the Lectitio Divinatus, and never faltering in the face of man's many enemies. A man of experience, though young, he is a veteran beyond his years, having seen the horrid faces of war in all it's forms, and will sometimes relate many of his new missions to an old war story.

    Equipment:
-Conversion Field: Hidden within his jacket, a small emblem of the Imperial Aquila.

    Character Sheet:

    Name: Erika Winds

    Age: 35

    Gender: Female

Class: Armageddon Steel Legion, Guardsman. Specialist: Urban warfare, line infantry.

    Rank: Sergeant

Equipment: Lasgun, improved flak armor, toxic resistant trench coat and the standard gear.

Appearance: Blonde hair she keeps tied into a ponytail when not wearing a helmet, scar over left eye and left cheek. Scars are not so disfiguring but they're there.

Backstory: Erika started as just another soldier for the guard. Humble beginnings and poor family. She took to the military life well and takes her duties and the lives of his comrades seriously. Her natural supportive personality and determination got her a promotion to sergeant rank.
During a brutal battle against Orks, the main force she was fighting in was shattered. Morale broken, routed and countless dead. Erika rallied her squad and anyone she could reach, forming a fighting retreat. As orks gave chase, with Erika's leadership, the orks were led into countless traps, ambushes, environmental hazards and killzones. Little by little the orks' numbers dwindled, and the main force was able to gather their strength back and counter attack. At the frontlines, they found Erika and a handful of guardsmen. Before them numerous ork dead in a brutally coordinated and executed ambush.

If you can replace the Power Sword & laspistol with something more... Normal, then it'd be rather fabulous ^^ As it is, trying to keep anyone from having anything TOO special, even for elite / special slots.
I need to think of ways to give rewards, too, you know!

    NAME: Gabriel Orion
    RACE: Human
    Gender: Male
    Age: 35
    "CLASS": Tempestus Scions / Stormtrooper

    EQUIPMENT
    :

    -Carapace Armor w/ Targeter
    -Hotshot Lasgun
    -Two frag & krak grenades
    -Combat Knife

    PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
    :
Gabriel Orion stands at exactly 6'3" and is possessed of a peak physique. Aside from being the peak of human conditioning, Gabriel can be described as having a rather gruff or rugged appearance. His white skin is somewhat pale and is possessed of many scars. The most notable of said scars are: One running from above his right eye down to the middle of his cheek, a second going across his neck, and a third in the form of an old burn on the right side of his forehead. Like his father, Gabriel has black hair, blue eyes, and strong, chiseled jaw line.

    HISTORY
    :
Gabriel's history as a Stormtrooper began when his parents, both warriors of the Astra Militarum, died serving the Imperium. Young Gabriel never learned how his parents died and was told only that they died heroes. Their valor in combat resulted in their commanding officer pulling some strings and getting a young Gabriel inducted into the Schola Progenium. It was in the Schola that Gabriel found what would become his calling in life. His training as a Stormtrooper began and though it was rigorous, Gabriel thrived where only a select few truly could. Whether it was through his own aptitude or perhaps a genetic gift from his parents, Gabriel excelled in the Arts of War.

Upon graduating from the Schola Progenium as a full fledged Stormtrooper, Gabriel was immediately thrown into the proverbial grinder that was the Imperial war-machine. Like all stormtroopers, Gabriel went where the Guard needed him most. As of a result of said deployments, Gabriel acquired a good tactical grasp on the Imperiums' many enemies. Most common among these enemies were the perfidious Eldar, Warlike Orks, and the innumerable Tyranids. Currently, after a small bit of time spent on leave, Gabriel returns to duty.

    Character Sheet:
    Name: Albert Kozlov
    Gender/Race: Valhallan male
    Age: 20
Appearance: A strapping young Valhallan male, Albert stands at around 6'1, has green eyes and blonde hair shaved to a buzz cut. He wears the greatcoat and ushanka typically associated with the Valhallan Ice Warriors.

His face is clean shaven and quite pale skinned with a black "V" tattoo on his left cheek and a small gouge in his chin. The top half of his right ear is missing. He is rarely seen without a Lho-Stick in his mouth.

History: Albert Kozlov spent most of his childhood moving through Valhalla's subterranean habitats as a petty criminal in a small gang. Due to the fact that even the most minor crimes carry the penalty of death on Valhalla Albert had to make sure he got good fast and, most importantly, never got caught.

At the age of 18 Albert found himself at odds with the leadership of the gang so he decided to get himself off-world by joining with the Valhallan 75th Regiment before the gang's leader found some other, more immediate way to get rid of him. Taking only some lho sticks and his trusty stub automatic with him.

Albert would continue with his criminal habits by smuggling in lho sticks for his own use and for selling them on to other soldiers in the regiment. To him keeping out of the way of the Regiment's Commissars wasn't much different from avoiding the Valhallan authorities back home. Albert also proved himself to be quite a capable (or just extremely lucky) combatant, his preference for the autogun over the lasgun most Guardsmen use being noted by his Company Commander almost as much as his tendency to survive the stoic, near suicidal charges Valhallans are known for.

Albert has spent the last few weeks away from the front lines after his regiment was decimated in a particularly brutal, if surprisingly short campaign against a large Ork Warband. Albert didn't really mind much though, he was quite happy to spend his time pissing away his pay on drinking and gambling rather than trying not to take a surprise choppa to the face. If he were to be perfectly honest he was more traumatised by the fact that the profits from his lho stick dealing have dropped considerably due to most of his clientele now being dead and that command finally got sick of specifically giving him autogun ammunition and saddled him with a lasgun much more suited to close quarters.
    War-gear:
    *Stub Automatic
    *Combat knife
    *Flak armour
    *2 frag grenades
*Greatcoat with pockets full of extra rations, ammunition and quite a few hidden lho sticks.
    *Bullpup Pattern Lasgun.
