"Well now, Seems are vacations, aren't going to go as planned." Jarrick said noticing they were going back to base, wondering if someone fracked up to get them to go back to base. "Any more specifics besides a gut feeling?" Jarrick said deciding to get in on the conversation.

Gillian's suspicion began to grow as the Governor-General conveyed cryptic request about special visitors. However, his brothers seemed to go along with it, so he in turn did. He shook his head, "If they are to help with a war and save lives within the Imperium, then you have my word to fight with them."

The Governor smiled, and he leaned back in his seat; the Valkyrie making its way towards the Tower's landing pad; it was mere minutes away, and once landed, the group wouldn't take too long to get within and to the Conference Room.

    ---

The Chimera continued towards the Base with surprising speed, far more than it had been before (and were it any less experienced driver, some could worry that they may fall off the edge to their demise).
"Unsure; not very many enemies that can control 'weather', or... Manipulate it, as such. Or give any powers that do such things. Once we get to base, re-arm yourself; we are going to the City and attempting to secure vital areas. Should there be any hostile invasion, I shall see to driving us to a safe zone within the city, for ease of use." The driver explained now, glancing briefly to her right at the lasgun she kept close; she hadn't used it in a true war setting in over a month, however the Kriegswoman knew that if this was what she'd thought, this would be the day.

"I will advise you stock up on additional clothing, while at base; the rain will be consistent and strong, meaning you'll get soaked when outside. Hypothermia is not advised, and we may not have sufficient heating at all times. May someone man the turret?" -- If someone was to get into the turret, now is the time. "Switching off safety; pull back the bolt, when ready. I'll prefer if we're the ones to fire back, if enemies are found." She shouted back to the group.
Who would man the autocannon turret? The shells themselves were perhaps 35 to 40mm in diameter, enough to be used to clobber someone even without being fired at them; the damage they could do would certainly be terrifying.

The announcement that his vacation was likely about to be cut short took Albert's attention away from the Commissar across from him before he could start thinking too hard about why he so clearly dodged his question, eliciting a short sigh from the man as the Krieger driving kept talking. A small amount of his former positivity returned, however, upon hearing someone needed to man the Chimera's autocannon.

"Oh thank the Emperor for that. At least if some alien bastard is going to steal my vacation I might get to shoot them with the biggest guns on offer. The half hour break was nice but I guess it might be time to kick some ass." Albert said, briefly turning to give Skudd a reassuring pat on the arm before getting out of his seat to get to the autocannon. Truth be told he had to restrain himself from trying to break into an awkward run of sorts for the turret.

Making his way up to sit in the turret Albert smiled as he looked at the autocannon. "I must have died and gone to heaven for this..." He reached forward to pull the bolt back before letting go, his smile turning into a grin as the weighty mechanical sound of the bolt springing forward as a round was chambered filled the turret. "Yep, I was definitely killed by Orks. My luck was almost never this good," He said to himself, leaning back on the seat and patting the cannon as a more genuine version of his jovial tone of voice from earlier came to him, "either way I know we'll be fast friends, you and I." His other hand moved to grasp the joystick which he presumed was for moving the turret around. If the planet was actually being invaded he was ready to let rip with some 40mm automatic firepower and despite the fact it would mean Albert's leave was over before it had started... part of him really hoped that was the case now.

Peaking through the gunport Anis marveled at driver`s skills as well as how the weather changed drastically. The clouds brewing thunderstorm turned dark grey with strong wind at its back, laden with water.

Still staring through the gunport, Anis spoke as if to himself, but aware of common courtesy, as well as a present NCO, he turned around to the fellow passangers:
"I`ve seen weather change this drastically only when a large starship attempts to enter lower orbit." he added, ignoring the excited Valhallan with his typical enthusiasm and eagerness that followed such youth, as he mounted the turret.

Turning to cockpit, he addressed the driver, speaking briefly as to not disturb her concentration as a driver "Base ETA?"

The Kriegswoman gave off a small noise of displeasure or annoyance at his words; more accurately, wordlessly agreeing with his analysis. And it unnerved her to a small extent. If it was a ship entering orbit.. Why would they do so? The Imperials up above knew that it caused irritation and worry!
"Approximately six minutes, twenty... three seconds."

"Well this is quite a mess, makes me feel more and more useless," Jarrick said, not having his medkit or his weapons noing he could not do much he hated lowering his mood even more. "Do I dare ask what type of enemys can control the weather? Thought I read something in the uplifting primer about some kind of bugs being able to do that or some lankey type of xeno." Jarrick said looking around the chimera for something he could use as a weapon.

Once the Valkyrie had landed, and the group reached the meeting location, Gillian would follow as he was ordered. He would take up position outside the room and begin to give his other brothers orders on where to take up their patrols and watches. It was a bothersome matter to be tasked in such a manor, but his duty was not to question the lawful orders of his Captain.

The Astartes and Governor would get out of the Valkyrie with surprising speed, making their way indoors; a turn to the right, up a staircase and to a large door revealed, well... A surprising amount of guard. THREE sets of Space Marines, two of which were Ultramarines, the third being what appeared to be... The Raptors, in an olive-green paintjob.
Between each of them were sets of Kriegsmen, all equipped with lasguns except for the furthest back; those having hotshots. A surprising amount of guard... Six space marines, and a dozen Kriegsmen. As the Templars and Governor entered, they soon saw why.
Inside were three different Space Marine captains - an Ultramarine, Raptor, and what appeared to be a light, iron-blue armoured figure with a flowing cloak coming from the orange pauldrons, the insignia on it being an Iron Cross with a blade going through it. The 'Iron Angels'.
On top of this, there were well over a dozen different generals, most Cadian, yet some from other regiments such as Valhallan, or Krieg. And worse yet, there were... Xenos.
At the end of the room opposite the door, were a total of five Eldar. One fire dragon, two Dire Avengers, and one Striking Scorpion, and... A farseer. His helmet was off and placed on the table, showing the man's dark shoulder-length hair. He looked as though he was about to speak before the group entered, one hand raised in the air.
"Ah; it appears our late guests have arrived." He said, lowering his hand and bowing. "Welcome, I am--" He was cut off by one of the Generals, who spat out, "Enough with your pleasantries, Xenos. Tell us why you have called us here! You said there was a foe, and that it was not you; I'm having a damned hard time believing that, with how you've been ignoring each of our questions thus far."
"I agree," The Ultramarine had spoken out, his armour having numerous purity seals and a flowing red cloak, the helm a bright gold. "I may not see your kind with the same hate as the Ancient Enemy, as you call them. But I know that you do not move without a purpose; now tell us what that is."
"How Dare you speak to the Farseer in such a way!" One of the Dire Avengers spoke out, stepping forward with a hand raised at the General and Ultramarine. "We are here to help you, and you speak with barbed words and insults for the past day?!"
It was that very act that caused the other Generals to start yelling and the other aspect warriors to join in, the Captains primarily remaining silent save for the 'Iron Angel', his calm attempts at getting order being ignored through the harsh yells, insults and fistshaking.

This was going to be a long, day.

When the Chimera soon got back to base, they were met with a far different sight. It wasn't remotely as relaxed as before, the bunkers that they'd seen with relaxed guard duty now manned with heavy bolters and numerous guard patrols marching along the rockrete walls. When the gates opened they saw much of the same inside with numerous Kriegsmen marching from building to building, even into the facilities built directly into the mountain; surprisingly there were still a fair few Cadians, most of them shambling about confusedly with their lasguns (and in a few cases, grenade launchers or flamers) in hand, an occasional Kriegsman coming over and ordering some to come help in some manner.
There certainly were many more chimeras that were being pulled out of the garages and buildings, the Guardsmen jumping in and loading up on ammunition.

The driver of the group's Chimera would bang on the back and open the frontal hatch, sliding out and pulling her lasgun with her.

"Watson! What are doing back at base? Orders were to bring your cargo to their assigned--" What appeared to be a captain or sergeant of sorts had marched over, soon interrupted by their driver (who seemed to be named 'Watson').
"Sir; clouds. Analyze them. Similar to weather distortions caused by atmospheric re-entry by cruisers and above. I suggest preparing for temporary quarantine, and re-arming if necessary. Personal court-martial for disrupting peace is advised, if it is a false-alarm."

An awful long silence ensued, the tall man weighing the options up before turning to look to the Chimera's occupants, jumping up onto the vehicle and looking in the opened hatch.
"You; Guardsmen. I have a question of you. What do you think of the clouds?" He asked, motioning at them; they were surprisingly dark and twisted. Any child may think that some evil sorcerer or something bad was occuring - and even to the logical, it was clear that it wasn't... Normal for this weather. Even a twisted Dead World would have more natural cloud formations than that.

Erika stepped out of the chimera and took a good long look at the clouds, worried frown on her features.
"Nothing good. I'd feel better with a lasgun in my hands at the moment."
There goes relaxation and a chance to swim in water that is not polluted. Can't a girl ever catch a break.
