Alo woke up in a strange place. He had to think for a few seconds to remind himself where he was. His mood tired and neutral, Alo got out of bed. His throat was sore, and he ran his fingers over the wound. It was still stained with dried blood.
He grimaced at the thought that he had been sporting a bloody throat for so long like some addled brute.
Alo decided to clean himself in the cool lakewater, maybe he'd stir himself properly awake as well.
As Winterheart stepped outside and walked past the fireplace he noticed his helmet lying on the ground.
He just now remembered leaving it there. Cursing himself for leaving his things lying around, he picked it up. He would have been properly scolded by his superiors back home for such careless use of his battle gear.
Alo knelt by the water, cupped his hand and carefully cleaned his throat with the cool water, splashing his face with water to wake himself up.

Joining the others around the firepit, Faenkon eagerly awaited breakfast to be finished. "Yes into the mountains once again. Hopefully we can make it further along this time and find more than a rock-serpent." He watched the others in the process of their individual morning routines. Everyone different, but all still striving towards the same goal, much like this group. He hoped that the nights rest would alleviate most of the tension from last night, but only time would tell.

  3. Astarielle had gone to sleep contemplating what she had learnt of Yareli and Talshin. The Mymearan's life had seemed sheltered, it certainly felt controlled, and could agree with her decision to leave.

Having slept on a seat in the shuttle cabin she awoke without any of the usual problems she'd experienced on previous campaigns, only needing to stretch a little to loosen up her body. Stepping from the shuttle, and past Alo, Astarielle bent and dunked her entire head in the water for a second, the shock chasing away any drowiness left in her.

Returning to the firepit, braiding her hair back into a ponytail, Astarielle smiled at Avrielle & Talis as she sat, simply listening to people as they spoke.

Lysandriax awoke and took a deep breath of the cool mountain air seeping in through the door of the Chance. She stretched, then vaulted from the upper bunk, taking a towel from the small restroom and wrapping it around herself before striding outside. Sweeping by the fireside she nodded pleasantly to Avrielle, Talis, Faenkon and Astarielle, passing Alo as he returned from his ablutions. The Corsair made her way along to the artificial depths created by the ancient fish-pool. She dived, barely raising a splash as she arrowed into the water. Surfacing, she threw back her head, blew out her cheeks and grinned, streams of cold lake water running from her hair.

    "Now I feel awake!"

She swam some lengths of the old enclosure before climbing out and briskly drying her limbs before they could shiver too badly. Swathed in her towel, she crouched by the fireside and turned to Avrielle.

"Some of that tea would be lovely," she said, pausing for permission before reaching out for one of the hot pollen-cakes, cooling on a flat stone at the side of the fire. Avrielle, still slightly surprised by the manner in which the Pirate had begun her day, handed her a cup wordlessly.

"So who are we waiting for? The sleeping Princess? The other Knight of Asurmen? The King of the Country of the Blind?"

Alo took a seat by the fire setting his helmet beside him. He was surprised what Lysandriax did and had stared a bit too long that was appropriate before shaking his head to clear his thoughts. Women usually didn't go skinny dipping in his presence.
"We shouldn't idle for long, we're burning daylight."
His face always half covered by his hair, Alo cleaned some dirt from his helmet as he spoke.
"No one wants me to get cranky." he muttered silently to himself, not voicing it to really anyone loud enough to hear.

(OOC: If I understood correctly Lysandriax woke up naked, tied a towel around herself, cast it aside at the beach, swam and is now at the fireplace covered only by a towel.)

Seeing Lysandriax exit the shuttle in such a manner was different than expected. Faenkon had a small grin on his face from some of the others reactions, which could be heard in his voice. "Not spent much time around corsairs I take it." It was extremely rare for such an act, but not completely unexpected do to a corsairs nature for flash, quite literally in this case! "Just wait for the Felarch's grand entrance!" He chuckles slightly hoping to cause the new comer to feel worried about the Felarch attempting to out do Lysandriax. "Hopefully the next beast we encounter has a fine fur coat so you don't freeze Lysandriax!"

He enjoyed the hot tea and warm breakfast, "But we definitely need to get moving. Our prize isn't likely to just fall into our laps sitting idly by." He looked to all of the Eldar already awake and around the fire, shaking his head in amusement when his gaze passed Lysandriax. What other surprises were in store was yet to be seen. And the only way to tell would be to start today's journey in earnest.

  7. Amriel woke rather later than he intended, nestled into the tree as he was. He was a firm believer in plenty of sleep where one could get it, but was an even bigger believer is breakfast, which was what he beelined for the moment he awoke.

"Morning all, nobody woke me for watch duty, so I guess I will take a double shift tonight."

He took a solid helping of all the breakfast options had poured himself a cup of hot tea as well. He was pleased to see that some of the tension from yesterday had died down, and that people were ready for some action.

Talshin looked at the mostly naked Lysandriax with little emotion. Most of his desires had left him long ago, outside of war that is. He made his way over to the nearby water, kneeling down along its banks. He sat his helm on the ground next to him as he dipped his hands in, washing them briefly before drinking. The scorpion then washed his face and took a closer look at his surrounds in the morning light. He then lowered his head and began a light meditation.

After his brief moment of solitude, Talshin took his helm under arm and made his way back to the fire. "Seems everyone, aside from those whom still sleep, are on the same page. As fond as I am of this ship, I believe we can here with a purpose, and it was not to merely socialize."
  9. @matt23 | Astarielle had watched Lysandriax's awakening, emergence and the aftermath with a bit of amusement. Men. She raised an eyebrow when Faenkon implied that the Felarch's entrance would be similar to the corsair-woman's, glancing over at the shuttle, before settling back when Talshin spoke.
"There is no reason why we can't do both."

Standing and stretching Faenkon grabbed his rifle. "Well it seems we may be waiting on a few late risers. I'm going to scout around the area a bit. Just let me know when everyone is up and a decision has been made." He started to walk away from the campfire before turning around and facing Lysandriax, "Who knows, maybe I'll get you something nice." He winked before pulling his cameoline cloak around himself disappearing into the woods.
