On the bridge, a tall, athletic and pale Eldar woman watched the introductions and verbal sparring with quiet attention. She rose.

"It seems that I have been missed from the introductions. I am a newcomer here, too, so do not worry on that score," she said, looking to Talis and flashing him a smile. She was armoured, not in the livery of the Arcadia but in a striking crimson suit of armour constructed in the manner of the Eldar of old. Despite its style, it looked to be both new and extremely expensive. She had her helm by her side, and a pack on her back as well as a number of holstered weapons.

"I am Lysandriax Vael, and I will come with you. You may need another sword-arm yet, though I do not doubt the skill of those you have already named," she nodded, as one warrior to another, to the Aspects and former members of that Path. Khaine's blood will always tell.

"I shall see you on the ship to shore craft." She bowed, very slightly, to Iktomi, though she cocked her head at Morvan as if she was considering something on the way past.

"Thank you," she said, accepting a cup of tea as she walked by.

Avrielle nodded in greeting and went to take Morvan some of the hot berry tisane as instructed. She looked a little uneasy as she caught the tension in the air, but she hoped that Yareli's diplomatic skills would ease it.

Luckily, Llyr had long since abandoned his fickle perch and gone to examine the Bonesinger when the altercation began. He sat down, washing his paws with care, and then trotting over to Morvan. He looked up at him, blue eyes clearly worried. There were a lot of big personalities in this room, and he was only a small gyrinx.

Lysandriax paused on her way out. Tea in hand, she turned to Kithaere, the notes of her wordless song one harmonious thing in the chamber.

"Ma'am, I am not certain we have met formally, and so i introduce myself. I am Lysandriax Vael, late of the Sky Serpents. I have a question."

"You are, I believe, one of the Will-Workers who tease the warp into reality. Could you make a sword?"

The shield was first. Representing the enemy's ability to protect itself, to ensure that it could ward off and defend the blows the Eldar sent their way. It was the first to go, for, without the ability to defend themselves, the enemies of the Eldar would be at the mercy of Khaine's Wrath.

A neat hole presented itself on the shield, the enemy's defenses were laid bare. Next was the shoulder pad, representing the enemy's "arms", or ability to attack the Eldar. It was the second to go, this way the enemy had not the means to kill the Eldar before they themselves were killed by the magnificent Eldar warriors.

    KZZZAAPPPPP

The shoulder was melted, the fusion gun's beam wide enough to envelop the entirety of the pad. With its defenses stripped, its weapons destroyed, the enemy was vulnerable, at the mercy of the Eldar. And the Eldar showed no mercy to their foes.

The helmet had a smoking hole melted through it, and the Eldar's enemies, symbolically at least, were no more. Amriel Vauntor was ready for action. He proceeded to the shuttle bay, Fusion gun held at an easy ready in his arms, fusion pistol at his hip and his large wraithsteel knife strapped to the small of his back.

As Selviorath introduced himself and the two Eldar exchanged names, Astarielle arrived at the small docking bay. The ship there was small, certainly able to seat all of the Eldar planning to go to the planet below, but not to sleep them in comfort. Its hull betrayed many repairs and recoats in the form of different colours. Someone had jauntily added a name in flowing script to the side of the nose: Cegorach's Chance. The lettering was likewise in different colours.

Selviorath looked up as she approached, hailing her with a raised hand.

"I don't suppose you are the pilot either?" he asked, sounding hopeful - she looked competent, like she would handle the ship with care, his gesture inferred. Not that the two gentlemen present did not, but they had already declined the role.

"At any rate, you are in time for the tour. I am Selviorath, and I maintain the Chance. And the other shuttlecraft. when we have a full compliment." He patted the hull as one might a skittish quadruped, as if mention of herd-brothers long gone might offend. He pressed a small gem in the panel of the main access, and a clear note sang out as the hatch opened.

Inside, the small shuttle was unconventionally fitted out. There were seats, situated at the front in a section behind two chairs for a pilot and a gunner. Two of these 'passenger' seats also had links to the fore gun and the aft missile pods. After a small section housing some of the basics for graceful living, and four bunks, there was a small cargo hold. After all, it was a Corsair craft and one never knew when there would be a chance to claim plunder or riches.

To the keen eye of the Ranger, there was more to the inside space than met the eye. To the two warriors, there was clearly a deficit between the size of the hull and the internal dimensions.

Faenkon smiled, "Quite spacious for such a small craft." He winked at Selviorath, he would let the ruse blind others, but he knew the truth. Faenkon began poking around the interior of the shuttle, not trying to find anything hidden, just trying to find a good spot for the ride planetside. "So you will actually let her out of your sight Selviorath?" As he spoke he patted the interior wall of the shuttle. "It looks like you've done some interesting modifications in here." He examined the additional gunner stations, perhaps it was meant to house more weapons but the additional hidden storage took their places. No doubt the Chance has seen some interesting sights.

Upon being prompted, Kithaere stopped humming, and looked up from Llyr to meet the Vael's gaze. She was not truly sure how to categorise this crimson-clad dame, but something about her reminded her of stories of Khaineite adherents, warriors from a time before the Paths that strove for martial perfection. Martial perfection, and bloodshed, when the story inevitably turned dark. But that was it - those things were just epics and poems, ballads and stories. Mythology. Sheolis was too young to really seperate fact from exaggeration, and it was hard to do so nowadays.

But regardless of matters of fact versus fiction, sometimes, it was hard to focus on the now rather than the then. Mythology or not.

'Gracefully' hiding her transition from solipsism to actually taking part in this gathering with a flick of her hair, the artisan of the strings actually had to wrack her brain for a few moments before replying. "...swords are... not my speciality", she admitted sourly. Before anyone could reach conclusions of imperfections, however, the pale woman hastily added "But with a warrior to watch, I am certain I can craft one worthy of song."

  6. @Jorimel | Entering the shuttlebay Astarielle smiled at the shuttle mechanic, glancing over the colourful vessel with a mostly-inexperienced eye, before shaking her head when she heard his question.
"I'm sorry Selviorath but I'm not the pilot." Taking a moment as she followed the mechanic she continued. "Actually I don't know who our pilot is."

Stepping into the shuttle behind the Ranger the former Banshee looked around, taking in the interior. The habitat section looked well kitted out, clearly more than just a shuttle used for the short-term, and the cargo hold was as expected. Still, something seemed off about the shuttle, a difference between the shuttle's actual size and its inside dimensions.

Talis still felt small and honestly even intimidated by the situation he was in. He'd done some things before that some would call intimidating, but this was on a whole other scale than anything he'd done before. There were Eldar, all from different walks of life than he, with clothing and items far more luxurious than he could have. They seemed larger than life even in their personality, and the normally outgoing young male was now trying to stay under the radar as a speck, hoping to not get embroiled in whatever conflicts seemed to be happening.

And then came two females he'd not seen before, and they came bearing tea. He had to admit that tea was not the favorite of his drinks, he preferred a bit of a smaller drink that imparted energy. If only he could find a few of those beans, or something similar. Nevertheless he went up and took a cup of the drink, giving a gentle bow. "M-my name is Talis." he said, his tone soft and unsure. "I.. thank you for the drink, if I was among the ones offered."

"Of course," said the smaller of the two Eldar women, a girl in the warm orange and black of Lugganath Craftworld. She wore her hair tied neatly back, and her amber eyes were welcoming. She passed him a cup while Yareli poured the tea. "I am Avrielle. I -" she paused, seeing that the young Eldar felt as much out of place as she herself sometimes did aong such powerful starsailors. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Talis."

She sat down, setting down the tray on a handy console (which, perhaps, served as a navigation table in other, more warlike times).

"Has Juri asked you to help us with the Exodites? I do not know if we will see your kin," she said, the subtleties of her body language recognising and referring to his obvious heritage, at least by outfit and accent, "but if we do, it will be good to know that we have one with us skilled in their ways."

"Thank you." Talis said as he held the cup as steady as possible. Her eyes seemed similar to his in color, topaz and amber. He smiled a bit, feeling reassured and taking a sip of the tea. "Delicious." he said to no one in particular. He really seemed to enjoy the blend and took another drink before he responded.

"A pleasure, Avrielle." he began, returning the grace with which she greeted him. "Juri did ask me, yes.." he paused for a half-moment as he thought. "Although I cannot promise, I did pick up.. some diplomacy from father." he was obviously unsure of his skills, and being around such grand Eldar wasn't helping. "I hope I can do what is needed of me."

"Not even introducing your friend, Avrielle?" Yareli said playfully shaming the radiotechnician, knowing she is merely excited and enjoys to see new faces. Following the actions of her fellow, she puts the kettle down next to the tray so cups and tea may remain together.

"My name is Yareli and of the Craftworld Mymeara. Judging by your clothing you must be neither Craftworlder, Corsair not even Comorrite. Which means you must come from one of the many Exodite worlds." She bowed, the noble she was, to the young man. "Every Eldar, no matter their heritage, while their purpose and heart is true, is welcome." She noted, speaking in her regal voice and rather noble vocabulary, perhaps just to impress the young man. Her hand found a spot on his shoulder, reassuring him with a soft smile.

The topaz-choker was clean and a strong contrast to the ice-blues and teal, cyan tones of her robes. It may have one reminded very well of glaciers and ice seas if one ever saw those. The one thing that Talis may recognize was the mythological 'Cursing Eye', the symbol of Asuryan's omniscient abilities to kill enemies in a single instant which has become the rune of Mymeara quite a long time ago.

Upon the note of diplomacy, the much more experienced and older woman, compared to Talis, though she was herself a rather young woman, Yareli could not restrain but offer her arm to link in. "Diplomacy from father? Are you sure, you are not walking in my shoes? While I may be a noble, I still have common tasks of an every Eldar and my path was to learn many forms and rules of diplomacy and communication. Though do not think of me as a damsel, I know how to fight for myself with a my blade or to calm my enemy with a song of my ocarina." She smiled at Talis, seeing that Iktomi was still involved with Morvan she did not want to intervene and instead get more accustomed to the members of the team.
