Thanks again for that honest statement. I see why you are doing this, and i can feel the preassure and maybe a little pain in having to make such decisions. I think i can speak for us Supporters (So, the people who are not sitting on the rage train against EC right now for whatever reason, valid or not) when i say we will follow the Game. We wont let you down. So don't let us down, will you?
And I can speak for me and my cat, that we believe that Nathan's beard is evil and he's no longer a man, but the beard posing as a man. We still wish BHVR good luck with the release, though, because we're nice like that.
I don't think there are so many people sittin on a ragetrain (lol, new word for me). I've been pretty vocal at the (imo) reckless and risky approach of this launch, but I also said, come launchday I will be online and provide a warm body being there on the servers with new players. Try to avoid splitting the playerbase into pro or contra the current path, because both are valid options.
I have spent 477.5 hours playing an unstable, un-optimized, and unbalanced game. And I fucking love it, you guys are on the right path. I see the work of art in the metaphorical block of stone that is the current build.

The community is split, if you look around the forum, at least it seems to me they are. I understand both camps, be it the supporters or the one who say EC will fail horribly. Im sitting in the Pro camp, if you want to call it that way But im not judging (at least im trying not to) the ones from the other camp. I understand their motivation, dissapointment and maybe even rage, but it's not on me to tell what people should think As you said, both are valid options, no contra to that from me ^^
