    32.6%
  4. No - except at singular events. (These would be inoperable relics to fight over.)

    21.3%
  5. No - not actually present on the field of war but weapons strikes as abilities.

    7.9%
  6. No - not ever. (Kept as terrain to fight: over wreckage etc.)

you got a point but I thought of this game more as "MMO Sandbox" shooter in 40k space with option to capture planets, faction warefare etc...

so anyway as vehicles were confirmed one of the most epicness things in 40k ground warfare is titans. Imagine that on some limited conditions for limited time you can use a titan to drive back an invading force or something like that.

Let's say the Titans will be npcs that will be activated on some major huge battles combining so PVE conditions like let's say in middle of major faction battle let's say 2000 SM and 5000 Orks fighting for capital city on a planet then suddenly it's necron tombworld getting awake under their feet...
Forces can run away or hold ground for X time to get reinforcement which may contain titans depends on location conditions and such.

at any rate it's 40k we are all up to bigger more powerful weapons and as many as possible.
  2. You may be little bit misinformed about this game.

  4. Hell YEA! Excellent way of putting it. You guys know how they have Stupid difficult achievements? It should be something where you have to be some extremely high level and even then, you have to unlock an achievement which, in of it self, is difficult to do. For example, in GoW3, you get an achievement after winning a match of 5v5 as the only one alive AND having finished off a certain amount of the enemy AS the only one still alive in your squad. Of course, people unlocked this award in GoW3 via playing private matches and having friends help them so it was easy for them but since this is PvP, it will not be that easy.

Another example for this could be that even after achieving a high rank and unlocking a certain medal, you have to be voted into one. Like a warrior fallen is chosen. War council looks at the submissions each month or few months and decides who should be able to use the Vehicle Walker skill. Reason why this would be such an honor is because the War Council could only select among the pool of applicants who have unlocked the Medal and reached a certain level. Plus, their can be restrictions to the use of the Walker. Which means, I will not vote a person to use a walker if their K/D is .10... Why? Because if you are not a good team mate or fighter than you would use the skill and DIE before needed or should be. The skill would be like a timed skill or a skill which will need a long time (hours if your Walker is not destroyed and Days if it is destroyed) to become available for use again.

Too much farming, too much OP, too much frustration when you lose it.
As an NPC in a certain one-of-the-kind event - maybe.

As has already been discussed in the other thread, Titans simply would be massively above the scale the devs currently have set for EC. They are unsure about basic heavy tanks such as landraiders, and I strongly doubt Titan-sized vehicles are even up for dicussion. At best, I could imagine them Winter Assault-style, when the players fight over the remains of a semi-destroyed titans and might give potshots with its "smaller" guns (that can stil oneshot frickin monoliths, mind you).

well it's glad to see someone agrees with one of my ideas. ;)
  9. Every warhammer game almost has some inoperable titan, or one we can't control, while I think controlling one is ridic, because well that would be game over, seeing an ai one moving or shooting would be ALOT of fun to finally see in a video game. I saw an emperor titan once IRL it was awesome!

  10. I still weep over the loss of the Dominus, the Aeon class mothership I once had.

On the subject of Titans, I think the majority are just too massive to actually be viable outside of objectives or major events. Though I can see the smaller scale titans working as a major guild goal. Warhounds, Stompas, and Revenants. If you really want to go back to the days of Epic 40K, Knights/Paladins would be cool to see again.
