If you're riding in a Predator and the autocannon is already taken, please make full use of all the other available weapons and switch between them as needed. If you are engaging another predator, do not sit on the storm bolter and worthlessly plink away at it. Hop in one of the side-sponson heavy bolters where you can actually do damage. In fact, just stay off the storm bolter unless there's nothing you can aim at with the heavy bolters. Accordingly, if you're driving the Predator, face the tank so that the side weapons can fire and switch to them if need be and the autocannon is already manned.
Do not charge headfirst into a Plasma Cannon. Unless you can win this war all on your own: DO NOT CHARGE HEADFIRST INTO A PLASMA CANNON, OR INTO CONCENTRATED ENEMY FIRE AT ALL REALLY. ONLY I CAN DO THAT.
Play objectives and, And kill everything that moves and finish them ! by execution And more important !
I think it's actually a little bit misleading. If you see a stunned ally locked in melee, or a Devastator getting trumped by an Assault - go to town, your ally is probably already dead. There are also a few things I can add about Heavy Bolter usage: 1. If you crouch and scope, your accuracy VASTLY improves. It's not as good as in deployed mode, but it's still a huge improvement. 2. When engaging in the open, burst fire and move around. Do not just stand in one place. Go full auto only at point blank. 3. About full auto - it's like a flamethrower. Everything withn a close cone will die very, very quickly. So try flanking, and if some poor Assault landed not close enough, so help him Emperor/Chaos. Go wild. 4. Also, you are going to hate every single melee enthusiast with passion and zeal. Just saying. 5. Heavy Bolter can be used against vehicles. 6. There are no "clear hits" with heavy bolter, unless you are deployed. So all that "do not risk friendly fire" doesn't really count when you're in close quarters. Use your judgement to determine if your ally even need any help, and if he does position yourself the way that your enemy stand between you and your ally. Yes, it means you have to move your heavy behind quite a lot. 7. When caught in melee, parry and play for time so somebody can save you. But be ready: you're probably going to die, because defensive bash only works when it feels like it. If you stunned your opponent, do not try to melee him, seriously, just shoot him in the face, your melee attacks are crap.
oh no a destator in melee is not already dead, can kick and unload the weapon in the face of the assault a devastator is really dangerous in melee. melee attack of devastator are not crap: they can stunlock enemy.
A semi big one that I'd forgotten and I don't think I've seen yet -Rhinos can go faster, hold down shift...I know, surprise!
I need to update the OP sometime today. There are quite a few good submissions. Totally agree. It's unbelievable how many times players come out of an initial stagger ready to wreck an Assault and an ally hits them in the side/back of the head. Hit the Lock-On, Evade to the rear and kill the enemy without hitting your ally. Cool your inner-Khorne
Oh man. These were some great Plasma tips but these ^ are going to get people auto-booted when the new TK system comes in. The number of times I get killed by Plasma (or even HB fire) when I have a multi-enemy situation under control, I'm never forgiving anyone when it's an obvious kill-grab and they could have easily waited/cancelled
