Ork boyz may be as good as other classes but they will be less specialized than others. No jump packs (which can only be given to storm boyz), deffguns (which can only be given to lootas) etc. People can play a game and be serious without paying for it. People can pay for a game and play it and not be serious.
Well I think it will be great prior to the release to have some "know the factions" trailers and boost some extra ones on the Orkz so people will want to try them.
I don't know, there are some people that will want to win everything they have a go at. But I guess as long as you keep the game unique in the location and tools and keep it fun and weighty, it should be somewhat popular.
I think free Orks can play Stormboyz. From the 4 Basicclasses only the Painboy is not available. Stormboyz count as Choppaboyz which are available.
I sincerely hope it works. I have no intentions of playing as an Ork. I love hearing Orks talk, especially when players get into their characters and type like an Ork. Playing Return of Reckoning, and seeing Orks type, "WAAAGH!!!" into the chat is a lot of fun! Anyways... I hope it works out. This is the most interesting faction to me, as an enemy. I need to see tonnes of Orks zerging the battlefield. It just wouldn't feel very Orky if that wasn't happening. If it does work, "Yes!! We're fighting Orks! Can't wait to braces ourselves as Orks throw themselves at us en-masses!" If it doesn't work, "Oh, we're fighting Orks? Neat, hope they yell WAAAGH at me." It'll be too similar to fighting the other factions, and a great damper on the fun of fighting them. I hope when they start advertising the game, they attempt to make Orks not seem like fodder. If every faction's debut trailer is them slaying Orks... players probably aren't going to want to play them. Space Marines are probably going to be the most popular. I hope in the Ork's video, it shows them slaughtering Space Marines. "Hey! Remember that game you played where you were a Space Marine and slaughtered hundred of Orks? Throw that trash out the window, these are REAL Orks!"
It actually is. Never mind i don't play it and without prove i won't delete it except a Mod tells me to. Also for the Free 2 Waaagh Boys there is a thread here somewhere. But i will also try and get Founders to buy warbuggies so we can each take one of em free lootas onto the battlefield.
