Well, if i'm to think looting otherwise then vehicles (I agree with ShadowChorus, and hopefully we will see thinks like a looted grav-tank indeed.) Then i'd think of character cuztomization. This should be a huge part for Orks. Imagine being able to pick up debris from tanks or enemies armor and fix it up or just slap it right on. (Fix it up as if it was a Space Marine chest piece, while you wouldn't need to fix up a metallic spike from a vehicle, but could put it right on)
If anyone knows the upcoming customization for the game The Stomping Land, they have this way of putting parts of plants and leafes on you for camo. Link:

Perhaps like this, but abit more Orky! Would be loads of fun and allow for "Not a single Ork that looks alike"
  2. That would be awesome, like allowing a Tankbusta to take a broken handrail or something from a tank he just destroyed and strap it to his shoulderpads as a trophy.

I like Alex/blackklaws idea it works and is effective
  4. This is something we actually talked about months back of the Vigila Mortis podcast, that this faction's vehicle system might come down to the number of enemy tanks destroyed in a certain area. The more ones taken down, the more of a certain type they can spawn. The chief problem, beyond the obvious, would probably be if it would be a real detriment to the faction given the free-to-play boyz who make up so much of it. On the one hand it might encourage better teamwork to take down targets and co-operate like other groups. On the other, it could backfire and make the orks extremely ineffectual.
  5. Orks do have their own vehicles that can do some decent damage. Battlewagons, traks and trukks, buggies and bikes, and deffkoptas are all made by Orkish hands, and they can do some good work. However, I like the idea of Orks being able to steal and orkify other faction's vehicles to create the looted wagons, and that each looted vehicle would be a modified version of the other faction's, meaning we could steal fire-prisms if we managed to sufficiently wreck one and replace its big prism gun with a giant cannon.

  6. Ah, I did not mean to say they would work exclusively with looted vehicles. While it's easily a personal favourite aspect within the army, what we discussed was more a scrap point system, where more vehicles had to be taken down to earn the raw metal and material to earn certain looted vehicles or bigger ones of their own. So, for example, they might have access to bikes, trukks and buggies no problem, but they would need to blow up a few Rhinos to get a Battlewagon.
  7. Well that sort can work so long as there's a decent distribution system. You'd definitely want to personal, guild, and faction scrap so that you don't run into a situation where you can't spawn looted vehicles because ineffectual players spamed them and exhausted the loot supply.
  8. I'm pretty sure they won't have an answer for us yet, but this sounds sort of like a question to direct at the devs before one of their streams. They probably won't be able to tell us anything solid, but it would be nice to at least get some sort of reading on how they're considering addressing this.
