Could you imagine if everyone who bought stock in a company asked for a refund because the company changed its marketing strategy and lost money. Early Access- you invested in a project. Some times you gain in an investment some times you lose. At the end of the day, it is all about risk. Some times the dice don't fall in your favor. It's life.
Considering it's a testing word "enjoy" has different meaning. Modus operandi was: "This is 40k game, best one that ever was, we don't need your money game is already funded, but we need make gameplay fun so we offer you EA/FA where you play and give us feedback game will be even better" So him playing so much prior launch doesn't mean he enjoyed it and even if he did it's does not matter, cause it was test. Because he wants game polished? Why else? I played for nearly 200 hours and i can't say it was fun.(tho i don't need refund either.)
Enjoyed? Yes, I really liked only having one map for a few months. It was awesome when the storm bolter became the Über gun for a month. My personal favorite though was when the Mark of Nurgle made it in game and chaos became unbeatable for FOUR MONTHS
To be honest the experience I had while play testing this game was extremely frusturating, I punched my screen several times due to the broken and gritty gameplay. Actually I had an idea of what would were to come, I used to watch every twitch show and kept up with every piece of news about this game in a zealous way, back then I had a very clear picture of what were promised to me and what would be in the game. I was a donkey following the carrot that the devs had set out for me.
Uhm why havent you refunded already than? (and the discussion is about 580 hours during alpha) This whole discussion is senseless its like: Buying a book and enjoy the story at the first 20 pages, than you dont like it anymore and go to your seller and yell for a refund, a year later. If we would refund a game everytime we dont like something than the gaming industry would be bankrupt. But thats just my opinion
If i go to the stock market and purchase something i have the idea what will happen and then it doesnt happen and i lost money. Thats normal, there a reason this funding is called: risk Cant handle it? Dont buy it.
I used to work for a movie theater and people would watch the whole movie come out and say they didn't like it and ask for a refund. Sorry, there was nothing wrong with the presentation of the movie, your opinion of the movie does not merit a refund.
It was not a funding tho, the game was fully funded, at least that is what we were told. I was told that x and y would be in the game, now that the game is launched x and y is not in the game I paid for. This product is not the one I bought.
If i tell you that if you give me your money and ill make a great thing and let you sign a ToS (money= gone, because shit happens) and run away with your money. What will you do? Cry? Get over with it. But ill leave this discussion now. It will lead to, surprise surprise, nothing. My tip for your future: Dont buy something if you cant handle the risk and srsly you still believe in what people tell you? Man wake up thats not how the world works.
