heard there probably will be dawn of war 3, after they finish with company of heroes i think.. is it true? and indeed it's a great news..
no but they still own the old dow ip, they can't make NEW game, but for example they have bring kill team to steam, and they have patched dow to work on steam. the new THQ can't make DOW 3 or Space Marine 2, because they need the dow/space marine IP and the war 40k license, and the ip is owned by sega. It's more probable that sega manage to obtain the license from GW for a new dow.
What proof do you have that says GW can't do as they wish with game adaptations of their IP? SEGA is more like a belhop holding the door open for money to come in and jump in GW's pockets because they don't have their own video game publisher. If GW hired a developer outside of SEGA then SEGA could try to sue them for something but I doubt they would get far.
because sega have buyed the license for dow1 dow2 space marine kill team etc etc. there is still a contract between GW and thq sega.
As long as i get another Dow and darksiders game then i'm cool with this, other wise i don't care what happens to them.
