Thousand sons and Blood Gorgons need to wipe the Space Wolves off the map once and for all,. I am so sick off that Legion. They wiped out the 2nd Legion and the remaining members were sent to the ultra Marines. I have a theory on this IMO all Primarchs were tested by the the corpse god right? Now just think for a moment that the Primarch of the 2nd Legion bested the corpse god on all his tests , but still joined the crusade, and that doing some point hot sick of it and that the emperor was no better then the people that sent his Legions to fight. Now taking everything in he tells the false emperor that he is no better to his face and says he wants no more of this hypocrite and his war. So the corpse god gets mad as hell and starts thinking if word gets out about the 2nd Legion saying no more and that the Emperor is just as wrong for this war and being power hungry that other Legions will follow suit. So the corpse god sends the Wolves to wipe the 2nd legion out. So luring the 2nd legion to a place "meeting place to talk with emperor one last time to talk about peace" the Wolves ambush the 2nd and after a short put deadly fight the Wolves have the 2nd Legion's Primarch out numbered and beaten. The false Emperor comes down and looks at his son and tells him you will taken out of history and you're sons put down . Now the primarch asks for one thing before he dies. To spare his sons because alot of them are still on other worlds fighting. So the Emperor asks who will take them in and the Primarch says that he wants them to join the Xiii legion because his troops have heard of their bravery and courage. So the Emperor says fine but know this before you die they will have their minds wiped as well as you're legion will never be spoken about ever again and you're brothers will never speak you're name again for you are a disgrace to me. With those last words spoken by the emperor and the rage in the primarchs eyes the emperor cuts of the primarch's head and burns his body then turns to Leman Russ and says we shall never speak of the Heresy this legion has committed and Russ know that you will be my fury to any of my sons that ever prove to be disloyal to me or to the crusade again. I understand Allfather. This is IMOP about the 2nd Legion to give the reason why the wolves are called to hunt us down for what we CSM stand for and why the time of corpse god must END.
You forgot the XI legion (eleven) they were assumed to be wiped out as well along with their Primarch presumably by Russ and his Wolves since they are the onlyones who would willingly do it. Thats TWO Legions that were wiped out for disagreeing with the False Emperor
I have written a book on my thoughts about the 2nd and 11th legions. I would take to long to Wright it down on here and typing on a cell phone sucks since my PC took a dump.
Their are talks of a new Thousand Sons book as a sequel to battle of the fang but their is nothing about it on the black library, I hope its true from what I heard.

Were the 2nd and 11th Legions wiped out? I thought they simply joined the Ultramarines en masse, and weren't slaughtered.
One purged and one lost, IMOP the 2nd legions primarch turned his back on the emperor for what he planing to do as in plunge the galaxy in to eternal war and the primarch wanted to stop him, but the emperor tricked him and had the space wolves ambush him and half his legion was wiped out. I believe that it was the emperor that killed the primarch and had the other half of the 2nd legion put in tho the xiii legion to be watched by the strictest legion there was and he knew that Roboute Guilliman would but them down if they showed to be disloyal at all. My feelings on the 11th legions primarch is that he and a quarter of his legion were sent on a mission into the eldar webways as a test to if the emperor could sent them to other planets faster but as we all know the webway is a mess all the time and the emperor was trying to control it but failed so with his own failure he stripped the legion from records. So the 3rd quarter remaining legion was also given to the 13th legion because the the emperor knows that Roboute Guilliman follows orders with out question. :in closing I could go on for days I have read all the Horus heresy books brother. I have thought and written alot on my theory's . I am hoping to work a deal with games workshop and the black library. Because if people want to make their own legions that's fine they can do it with the 21st founding but we all need answers to what happened to the missing primarchs because it could hold the real reason why the primarchs turned on their father...
Doesn't the warband leader, Gammadin of the Blood Gorgons have a natural hate towards sorcerers? Especially the fact that a sorcerer betrayed the warband, in the novel. As well as the Blood Gorgons declaring their independence from the other legions, and not wishing to worship/serve under any Chaos God. There's also the matter of where exactly the Blood Gorgons are, considering it's never mentioned where the Bastion sector is (at least from what I can find).
