Prior History: Nicole was born on the hive world Valin IV in the segemtum tempatus to two ganger parents that were drafted into the guard after her birth, Left to be raised by ganger her early years she was raised by a gang before being taken in by the schola after her parents were killed in the line of duty, Raised by the schola she was assigned to be raised under the local order of sisters. Often a loner amongst the other trainees Nicole had to work harder due to her own condition but would soldier on through scrutiny and distrust of her other sisters. Fighting for fifteen years she fought the enemy's of man from heretics to xenos breing deployed with her sister up until the battle of Saris where she and a group of sisters and several marines became trapped on a world that had fallen pray to a greenskin waaaggghhn and from a alpha legion cell crippling and taking control of the capital of the planet and its orbital defences. Recruitment: Nicolle was Recruited into Lucifer's team durring the battle of Saris After she and the suriving imperial forces on that Planet rallied and began hit and run and gurrila style war on the alpha legion forces, capturing a space port and destroying several planetary defence weapons to give the imperium a zone to deploy there forces safely. Needing a escort and someone who knew the situation Nicolese superior's picked her, While other forces besides reinforcements were already spread thin and the Crimson cobra scouts were already off, countering alpha legion troop movements and false information of there own. Delivering the information to the Inquisitor learned the Alpha legion was after a lost archeotech cache that was rumored to have a almost perfect technique to mind control in the form of a ancient recipe that was made during the dark age of technology and lost in the age of strife, The location of the cache was in the current capital of the planet that was currently in a bloody conflict between the forces of the works imperials and alpha legion and the greenskins all wanting control of the major objective making the Inquisitors job much more harder. After a long fought journey and mission Nicole and Lucifer were able to reach the cache and confront the alpha legion cell leader a space marine sorrcer by the name of Irke, Durrin the battle the sorrcer was attempted to open a portal into to the warp to escape and to pull the cache in with him. This failed due to the actions and presence of Nicole due to the Pariah gene and her own actions wounding and almost killing the sorrcer during the battle with her storm bolter. This interested Lucifer after dispatching the sorrcer from his wounds and finishing the battle and securing the cache for Inqustion retrieval and analysis, (sadly to find it was damaged and only have half the formula) Lucifer decided to see if she could make more use of Nicole's inherit abilities as a anti psyker tool when routing out witches OOC everything filled out hope I didn't pack to much stuff
I am tempted to give her a null rod or possibly mace or it in a melee weapon form if I can request it from cassavay
But if you are a pariah, everyone around you will feel that strange feeling from you and the storm seer will just feel hate towards you for no reason... The life of a pariah or null is a hard one.
Yep, pariahs are total black sheep and if there is no null rod playing a psyker is impossible next to one if you wanna stay true to the lore. Not to mention implications of it when combat occurs. But anyway, I planned on my dude staying in the background anyway, giving advice or battling enemy witches (although now there is no need for it if we have a null), so w\e, it's fine.
Heehehe indeed but even the emporer found uses for them. She's noticed already how people tend to dislike her or how she would either be the first in or last out. Only one she believes care is emps because she notices how it hurts witchs. Huh I didn't know it tottaly blocks out psykers thought it made it more difficult for them and produced pain for them.
Name: Iron Maiden Celes 'Celestia' Ferronica van Alderson ( @TechCaptain -wink wink nudge nudge- ) Gender: Female Age: 72 (no genetical altering of rejuvenation or such; thus yes she is an old woman) Species: Human. Also more a symbol of rank than a weapon) Inferno Pistol (primary weapon, 1 handed melta pistol) Armour: Flak-equivalent armor: Blessed thin-layered Adamantine chainmail + Cloak Silver Robes with red trims - the distinctive colors the Sect of Absolute Truth (Usually wears these) Red Robes with silver trims - for more traditional clothes of a Cult Mechanicus member (Wears these when a big Mechanicus presence is expected to better blend in) Sealed Environmental Protection Helmet (built-in respirator, vox-system, etc.), usually dangling from the hips, ready to use when needed. 'Nobody messes with mother'. Speaks & reads Imperial Fists ciphers. 'Dorn' is bigger and bulkier than most other Cherubs to actually cove combat capability. He is more the size of a 12 year old child, compared to an almost infant that most cherubs are. He was created for the sole purpose of being a true Angel of Death in appearance and purpose. Skull Probe 'Corax' - (special version of Servo-Skull) - Equipped with internal Auspex and Multi-Vision (Night, Heat, etc.), cameleoline paint & weak cloaking abilities, recording tools (Pict and/or Audio) + secure live-feed to Celes for direct transmission. Speaks & reads Raven Guard ciphers. 'Mother wants to know, so I find out.' Servo-Skull 'Guilliman' - Servo-Skull equipped with a Bolt-pistol, Light Adamantium plating, Targeter and containing parts of the Codex Astartes on the hard drive. Speaks & reads Ultramarine Chapter ciphers. 'Courage and Honour to Mother.' Haemoncolyte 'Sanguinius' - Special genetically enhanced Haemoncolyte to live roughly to the age of 77 years, compared to their regular counterparts which die rather quickly. 'He' is at the age of 57 currently. Due to living in symbiosis with Celes, they keep one another alive. He lives through her food, water intake, etc. And he on absorbs poisons, toxins and other for his mother deadly inflictions (i.e. cancer) into him. Most of these agents are basically contained within him until Celes can treat herself and him to flood it out of their system. Too severe toxins (i.e. Dark Eldar splinter ammunition) may cause him to have a shorter lifespan. --- Appearance: The elderly woman has many wrinkles and little grey eyes which make her appear even more frail, though one should not be focused on her face, even if it allows her to move almost without garnering any attention from strangers, just appearing as an older meaningless woman - sometimes misidentified as a Ecclesiarchy priestess or such due to her commonly silver robes. Was one to look under her robes many would be met with a through-and-through bionics-enhanced female specimen. Both her legs were augmented so she wouldn't need a walking cane to move, her left and primary arm was replaced due to muscle degradation having started, on her right side only hand and lower arm due to first signs of arthritis and some organs of hers having been replaced or implanted. The most important ones being a Mind Impulse Unit on her spine, an artificial heart, one artificial kidney and a heart valve. Personality: Celes is a curious woman due to the way she grew up on the world of Alderson, the capital of the Sect of Absolute Truth. It goes far enough like many other individuals of the cult to even embrace knowledge that is not meant for regular humans. Considering the indirect Sect founder and main figure of it was 'Alderson' an Iron Hands Master of the Forge, seconded to the Deathwatch. He died sometimes before The War of the Beast and was renown for his experimental technology, though most of his achievements were long lost, having been declared heretical. Celes knows that the importance to record data is of utmost importance, if people question how much knowledge of alien technology and civilization should be recorded, she usually uses the excuse that the radical Ordo Xenos inquisitors as well as Astartes have used for long 'know your enemy'. Prior History: Celes was born on the world of Alderson with learning disorders, or so her parents and common schools thought. All until she was fourteen years old, worst of her common academy. She was so bad and considered useless by standard imperial tests that she was to be processed to become a Servitor upon the age of adulthood. However when a Techpriest delegate came to talk to her parents about the fate of their child and also to speak with her in person to start preparing her in at least simple ways of the Omnissiah, he learned that she was simply not interested in the mundane and had taught herself quite some construction skills. While the theory lacked, her practicality was easily visible. From toys that she built because her parents couldn't afford any, which they thought their daughter had stolen but never said anything about it, over antfarms to study their behavior to even writing down her observations with logic and almost correctness. The mundane things could be introduced via hypnotherapy but her natural talents had to be garnered. And so instead of her becoming a servitor, she became a servant of the machine temple - a member of the Sect of Absolute Truth. Her career was a swift rise and learning many disciplines, but by her 44th birthday she made the choice to specialize in construction and biology. She had never left her home planet and instead worked with many samples that their explorators brought to the temple, having made quite interesting analysis reports that were ultimately used for the Deathwatch database - including but not limited to: Demiurg, Nuvenoreans and Eldar. Though once she specialized in construction she had many interesting projects from constructing stasis capsules for the Charnel Guard over turning fallen heroes into servo-skulls, creating familiars for Inquisitors and other meaningful constructions. By the age of 71 she has been ascended to the rank of Iron Maiden, the highest rank a Techpriestess could hold within her cult. While this gave her access to more restricted files and facilities, it also gave her a shock of reality that she only applied what she knew, what she was taught. Not innovating, learning, teaching like their founding father did. With that reality setting in she had to leave. With her most beloved constructions and beloved children she had for a long time - Dorn, Corax, Guilliman and Sanguinius she ventured forth among an Explorator Fleet to learn more about how the galaxy truly operates and finally shape it with her own designs. And as a Techpriestess with the rank of 'Iron Maiden' she was allowed to declare herself as a representative of her homeworld with the additional title of 'van Alderson'. Recruitment: The fateful meeting between Celes and the Puritan Inquisitor Lucifer was on her 7th planet she has put a foot on since her travels several months ago, having aged to 72 since then. The Explorator came across her during a hunt for a runaway traitor. Doing some swift research of her own it appeared to be a former noble by the name 'Saven Celeste Dakol' and a Nuvenorean servant under her. The Aldersonian woman knew of their unique way of processing information and deception - even if it didn't come quite close to the skills of the Eldar - and deliberately in attempt to impress the Inquisitor made her own calculations and most likely movement patterns. And of course with that information, Lucifer managed to corner and capture the runaways. Although to her surprise both were allowed to live and recruited, in order to learn more of the ways of the Inquisition - like her sects founding father - she offered her and her children's services and unique knowledge of her sect in return to serve at Lucifer's will. NOTE! Recruitment if @BuriasDempsey & @Maleth agree will stand, otherwise - I am ready to change of course
Some interesting char. sheets I am seeing here. This will be awesome!Especially with my beloved White Scars involved! <3
Another Sororitas. Hopefully there's enough space left for me! And sorry for the long background; skip to the very last paragraph for all you need to know! ------- Name: Sister-Celestian Marie Castella Gender: Female Age: 38 Species: Human Class: Adepta Sororitas Celestian [Order of the Holy Tempest] --- Weapons: Power Trident [*6ft Extended - 3ft Retracted] Relic Bolt Pistol [Integrated Webber] Hidden Knife [Concealed in Rosary] *Retractable shaft for ease of carry. Armour: Sabbat Pattern Power Armour Sabbat Pattern Helmet Special Equipment: Rosary Frag Grenades Krak Grenades Imperial Creed [Tome] Heavy Iron Chain* Robes of the Order of the Holy Tempest *Worn as a necklace with ritual significance. --- Appearance: In armour, bearing the heraldry of the Order of the Holy Tempest: [Link] Unarmoured: Marie possesses the cropped, bleached-white hair typical of many Adepta Sororitas. Her face is largely unremarkable and possessed of a simple attractiveness, but delineated by a firm jaw and angular brow which imbue her with a harsh, martial quality. She has the fluer-de-lis of the Adepta Sororitas tattooed on her right cheek, and set above her left brow is a small tattoo of a linked chain. Her body is sturdy and wiry with muscle. Personality: Marie is dour and humourless, but in a manner that is so overtly forced that it manifests itself more as the following of a strict personal doctrine than a natural aspect of her personality. She often forces herself brashly into hardship and challenge and struggles out with unrelenting, machine-like efficiency, and as such is often a reliable anchor for her companions when in combat. In her personal life she is unremarkable; quiet, ascetic and spending much of her time studying scripture and taking physical exercise. Her only remarkable trait is her tendency to obsessively repair and double-check her possessions and armaments, as well as those of others and any field equipment. This diligence is often beneficial, but could equally often be interpreted as arbitrary or impertinent; the latter particularly in the eyes of the Ordo techpriests, whose ire she often attracts. Prior History: Marie was born on the oceanic world of Ascetus as the only daughter to a family of respectable polar ice merchants. As a black omen, her mother died in childbirth, and indeed - despite several stable and relatively pleasant early years - misfortune soon struck when her father was convicted of smuggling and promptly executed. Marie was passed over to the Schola Progenium and resumed her childhood as a miserable and quiet orphan. Misfortune struck once more - and struck harder - when the suboceanic hive containing the Schola Progenium habitat in which she resided was consumed by an insurrection of Nurglite cultists. As disease and bloodshed claimed all around her, some innate and macabre quality within Marie was given life, and where others perished she was able to survive and eek out an existence fighting a vicious guerilla war from within her habitat. When the insurrection was crushed and purged, and the enforcers able to pass the flooded maze of gruesome traps and pressurised blockades assembled by Marie throughout the habitat, they found no sign of her save an unsealed airlock. Instead, Marie was found by an altogether more unlikely ally. Half-dead, washed up in a ruptured dive-suit in the bay of their convent island, The Order of the Holy Tempest discovered Marie. An utterly remote and near-legendary organisation to the laypeople of Ascetus, Marie had placed her last hope of escape and redemption here, making a thirty kilometre trek along the seafloor in a rigged dive-suit to reach the island. The Sororitas convent placed significant portent on the efforts of their child, who had embarked on a similar suboceanic trial as their founding Canoness and arrived here alive and untainted. She was promptly inducted into the ranks of the small and reclusive order. Recruitment: Evaluating all her misfortunes as being the result of avoidable human weakness, she saw her induction into a spartan life of hardship and rigorous training as a chance to remove any chance of such weakness arising in her and rid herself of misfortune. Her trial under the waves had a deep impact on her psyche, and the ocean was forevermore imbued with a powerful significance for her, just as it did likewise for her order. As a result, she adapted exceptionally well to her training and meditations, and quickly excelled as a Sister. The world of Ascetus is located in a sector infamous for its Ork corsairs and hordes. The Order of the Holy Tempest had a sacred duty to protect the sacred archeotech stored on Ascetus from this threat, and as a result routinely found themselves deployed in the heat of fighting at the sector fringes. It was in this crucible of war that Marie earned her ascension to Sister-Celestian, but her recruitment to the retinue of Inquisitor Lucifer was to be born out of an altogether more dire ordeal. It was during a long-expected and long-dreaded invasion of a roving Ork horde that Marie found herself fighting on the moon of Diocletian-II, as the Celestian vanguard she belonged to attempted to dislodge the heart of the Ork command. The fighting was brutal and close-quarters; well suited to the particular fighting style of the Holy Tempest, utilising webbers and unusual power tridents to incapacitate and slay foes in melee. They were nearing the inner sanctum of the Ork warlord, when it happened. Too unexpected and too sudden to understand at the time, Marie found her fellow sisters and the Orks around her crippled by a wave of repulsive psychic energy. The Orks distended and bloated, and her sisters cried out in anguish and died around her. Marie felt a heavy weight on her mind and a dizzying sense of repulsion, but some inner bulwark of her consciousness defied its effect and left her sensibilities intact whilst the nightmare erupted around her. The Orks she had been fighting were Orks no longer; they were outlandish figures of warped and decaying flesh, with great maws and scything talons. As they approached, Marie steadied herself as the psychic maelstrom subdued, and resigned herself to the imminent combat. Her distress signal was detected fourteen hours later, by a recently arrived Inquisitorial survey frigate. Ordo Hereticus. She was found amidst a nightmarish carnage of ichor, slain Orks and indescribable remains. Her Sisters were slain. The entire Imperial force deployed to the moon was routed. A terrible Nurglite daemon prince was now revealing itself elsewhere on the moon, and the war was set to escalate severely. Yet Marie alone survived. This was viewed with severe scepticism. After two days of relentless Inquisitorial mind-delving, she was deemed pure and doubt was removed. When doubt was removed, the story was remarkable; a warrior surviving against great odds, belonging to a seldom seen order of trident-wielding Sororitas, and - most importantly - resisting a harsh infernal psychic phenomenon with apparent power of will. This was too intriguing a character for Inquisitor Lucifer to resist, and a mandate was sent to the Order of the Holy Tempest requisitioning her services.
