Nah I mean out of context wise meaning why take a chance with a rp playing with characters of different backgrounds and different sub factions instead of playing from just one faction. Like we haven't even seen much of our own character sheets yet or seen other character sheets and were already having arguments about the team butting heads. Just due to mentions of what they might be.
Normally no one, they're a law unto themselves who police themselves similar to the Ecclessiarchy and Mechanicus. Even the Inquisition theoretically has no hold over them once they reach a certain rank as they have similar powers granted to them past Judge which allows them to act essentially as an Inquisitor in the pursuit of purging humanity of taint. Essentially, their chain of command goes straight to the High Lords of Terra whereas the Inquisition "answer" to the Emperor and not the High Lords of Terra which when it comes down to the bottom line, the High Lords being able to actually issue verbal orders trump the Inquisition. It's a very sore subject for both sides.
Yea that's true, and it can serve another reason, depending how we rp our characters, that people might butt heads together depending how the Inquisitor has us set up. Who has what power over another, with possibility of people not backing down. (I do understand that my character will be at the very bottom of the totem pole so I already expect taking a lot of order/passive death threats. )
I heard things from other people, you know by talking to them outside of this thread? :3 And I know the player bunch here well enough to know what is gonna come, don't tell me after all these years you still can't anticipate who is gonna roll with what? ^^
My character is below Justicar so they cede authority to the Inquisitor unless a sufficiently ranking Adeptus Arbite character were to give countermanding orders upon then which it would become a moral choice of who to answer to in the end. The main problem would arise from the fact that Investigators are wary of inexperienced operatives so they would find it distasteful to work with regular Guardsmen who might not have the knack to blend in with their surroundings and end up blowing the op.

Even I made several characters that were not of the Mechanicus (and some that were - where not so....hostile) and it was...passable
No because you play Arbites whenever you can. There is new to learn, but not new to expect. And with you I cannot think anything beyond IG or Ad Mech really, if it's something else, well yay to surprise me. Technically I play: Imperial Navy/Adeptus Arbites whenever I can because neither one gets any love from the rest of you lot.
