So a game that is incomplete, buggy, unoptimized, and unbalanced that still somehow manages to get 69% favorable reviews is going fail? Clearly the game is enjoyed by the vast majority of players, and when it is complete, polished and debugged is going to do just fine.
I just got the game since I wasn't even aware of its existence. I have been enjoying it immensely. No lag issues, most issues I have had come from learning the game slowly. I'm having fun though. just my 2 cents.
I have both Herasy pack and the pioneer pack and was subscriber for 1 year.... I'm worried too, this game is premature at best..
A game with just shy of an average of 400 players in a multiplayer only game is really, REALLY bad. This game is only decent right now, and only decent for a 40 dollar multiplayer only game is not going to cut it.
A lot of people don't know about the game and a lot of people don't bother to play games under development because they don't want to be QA. No doubt many of the 60,000+ who bought this game haven't followed it and are waiting for release. I'm not saying the game doesn't need a lot of work, but this histrionic sky is falling talk from a minority on these boards is just that.
Im so glad there are other people that are realizing this. Most of the time when people think somethings is over or under powered its because they dont understand the Meta mechanics behind it. I roll around playing eldar and orks using the gear people think is weak or worthless and do just as well as I do on my space marine characters. The problem is when your fighting an adept player who is backed up by adept teammates the game feels very one sided and unfair. That is the benefit though of knowing EC game mechanics and being social and organizing teams with your friends. Most of the time the solution to getting pwned by your enemy is right in front of your eyes. You just have to get past the rage, frustration and anger of what currently isnt working out and find new solutions for these problems. Even a clever team of friends will get stomped by a bigger group that knows what theyre doing, but thats kinda the thing about competitive pvp games, you are not the center of the universe. Losing is a part of gameplay.
Does anyone know if the Lag will get better at launch, or is it useless trying to play in Australia atm?
