Think Ammo Capacity Needs Some Work

I think the fact that rhinks and infinite ammo resupy stations on points are big part of it. Heavies probably shouldnt be out wandering the wastes where ammo isnt plentiful. The average amount of base bolter plhs an ammo mod is easily enough to make a move on a point and cap it resulting in a now available refill being nearby. The limited ammo creates a bigger focus on transports and cap points preventing (unsuccesfully) less instances of middle of nowhere fights.

There's always a resupply crate nearby or Rhino or deathtaxi. I have never ran out of ammo, I run ammo pack for emergencies on loadouts that are hungry.
  3. From me experience, da ammo pack replenishes ammo fer yer primary and sidearm. I use it wit' me shoota boy datz got a big shoota and zip slugga often. Dey go through lotsa dakka real fast

so i dont use a bolter... i use a shuriken catapult. even shooting in the head takes a full mag to take out a marine.

it makes sense that we cant carry around 40 magazines with 40 rnds each of those explosive bolter rounds... but i should totally be able to carry around as many as i want for the micro shavings of the catapult. I'm not quite as annoyed with the total ammo capacity of the shuriken catapult as i am with the magazine size which is just way too small.

If a chaos bolter can kill 3 marines per magazine, i should be able to kill 3 marines per magazine. I'm not saying we should buff the damage of the catapult, because that is balancing... but the catapult should have a 3x larger magazine size.
  5. The size of a bolter round (20 mm - Look at the size of the Pointy bit == projectile)

I don't have any issues with ammo and I use ranged weapons most of the time. Replenish your ammo at transport vehicles or supply crates when you have to, both are marked on the minimap. If your group has a healer, use ammo packs or ammo bundles on your loadouts instead of the medkit. Improve your aim and fire in bursts instead of spraying and praying...

Welp, we need one now, and the number of rounds I have to work with, at least on my end, I often tend to run completely out in fights or shoot-ups lasting longer than 2 or 3 minutes, and that's nowhere near enough in my book.

Yeah but you forget that bolt guns fire basicly rocket powered mini explosive missiles. The casing wouldn't need to be anywhere near as large most likely just a primer charge to get the round out of the barrel so that it's own propellant can fire. I'm thinking .75 in around and most likely 3 in long so roughly the side of a 20 Guage shotgun 3 in mag shell

I have a collection of space marines totaling almost an entire company's worth, all built, painted, and battle tested, and my jaw STILL drops every time I see just how big the rounds they use actually are XD.
  10. Well a Bolt is the size of the projectile not the whole casing of the displayed bullets, also BL Bolter round replicas are wrong size, which is hilarious, GW themself is incapable of making an actual correct size bolt, what irony
