Right - what I'm saying is that - assuming we get Mirrorswords and Executioners as weapon loadouts (they seem the logical choices) - one way to make Banshee combat feel different from the slow / powerful hacks of the Ass/Raptors will be to make Mirrorswords swing extremely fast. That way it doesn't feel like big cumbersome Chainsword swings that we have right now in Alpha.
Oh yes, I totally agree. All Banshee attacks (and most other Eldar CC attacks as well), should rightly shame any other races in speed and grace.
psssttt between you and me, we'll be able to use exarch weaponry on the base troops. For the most part.
It's the "for the most part" I question. Some Exarch weapons should be for Exarch only, wouldn't you agree?
Exarch gear that would otherwise drastically change the role of the class is being reserved for them. At least that's the current plan. Everything else is fair game. Otherwise we stay true to lore with an abysmal weapon selection which may result in something like heavily modified versions of the same weapon for every aspect or GW's approval for the EC team to create their own weapons to fill the void. Aspects like Fire Dragons are hurting in that department to begin with.
