Moving on from More Harlequins. I would love to see Harlequins with their jetbikes. I'm talking about the old school ones....
The only problem with the Phoenix is its a forge world super heavy flyer and they have said they don't want player controlled Titans/Super Heavy's. I am kind of looking forward myself to see how they balance out Banshee's as if the Power Swords they have are anything like the LSM and CSM's have it would be quite the thing to use a Banshee mask stun to run up stun and kill them before they even get a strike in.
Good point. As Eldar are generally not as strong as space marines, I expect that Eldar will hit a little bit softer. Still, I expect lots of Mon-Keigh tears when the banshee's have at it.
It's worth pointing out that Banshees actually wield Mirrorswords, which are a specialized kind of power weapon that is supposedly much faster than even other Eldar power weapons. So one way to better differentiate their feel from that of Ass/Raptors will be the speed of their attacks - Banshees should feel a little like a blender - a relentless onslaught of blades. Balancing their melee damage may also not be that bad - while Banshees can probably run very fast, and may have a leap attack - they don't have the aerial strike potential of Ass/Raptors: so they may have a harder time actually closing with their opponent - meaning when they do get into melee - they should probably be pretty freaking deadly (which makes sense for the Specialization design of the Eldar in EC, Banshees should be an almost superlative melee combatant - while lacking the flexibility and survivability of other races: Ass/Raptors).
Mirrorswords are an upgrade from the standard pistol and power sword. I'm hoping that it will be an option for "standard' Banshee's instead of a purely Exarch weapon option. Though I'd rather have an http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Executioner_(Eldar_Weapon)
