This guy..this guy right here. He knows what's up. You gotta shout like Cartman while doing it to: RESPECT MAH AUTHORITEH!
What.... If I'm already shooting and someone runs in front of me which is soooooo common in FPS games, then dey bad. Especially in narrow hallway fights, you do not brazenly run down the hallway with no regard to your team or yourself. There's usually different entrances and if there's a fire fight going back and forth DONT GET IN THE FREAKIN' WAY. Especially with plasma cannons involved, my charge shot was probably about to kill 2-3 other people on the enemy team... And now instead I'm dead along with the idiot who ran infront. Again emphasis on I'm CLEARLY already shooting and continuing to shoot. You can peak over my shoulder to see what's going on. Chances are I will be crouched for that reason. You could even climb a box or terrain behind me and help me shoot or get better vision. You could come from the sides or flank them while I have their team pinned and distracted. You could even use comms and tell me what you plan to do and let me know you want go in so I can stop shooting and pinning them. But the last thing you should do IN ANY FPS GAME is run forward when your team is clearly shooting in the direction that you want to go. I saw it all the time in Planetside and I just can't be bothered to deal with it in this game. If you die cuz of it, tuff. If you try and get upset at me for it, tuff. If you try to retaliate back at me and shoot me cuz you're mad at your own mistakes, my next shot won't be an honest mistake... >:|
I'm not saying that its your fault. All i'm saying is that its a team effort. Both sides need to watch whats happening around them.
Well, I think I can contribute with something about lascannons. If you see a friendly Heavy Support aiming downsights with a lascannon, please try to avoid stepping in front of them. You are not in risk of being shot in the back, but you will reset their lock-on, probably making them lose their only chance to land a shot at their target, which will definitively not help neither you or your team.
PC is great for room clearing. When you accidentally TK somebody, everybody's angry, when you clear 5 enemies out of the room, tacticals run inside to cap the point and everybody's quiet. Let everybody do their job, don't preach, don't tell me how to shoot my pc. No wonder there are TKs, this is an AoE weapon, I'd be surprised if there weren't any. PC is fun, pc is life
Looks like I've got a new objective for tomorrow.. go rub butts with a HB or PC and keep him alive. As a tactical I may from time to time rush into a room to cap or interrupt a cap, (even though anyone can interrupt a cap but no one seems to realize it), if you see someone do this please do not PC them, even of you can take out two or more enemy's. Rushing in like that for me is usually a last ditch effort to interrupt a cap. Even though a PC can clear a whole room I'd really prefer it if you focussed on taking out rhinos and preds before hand, since that's what PC's are best at and taking out vehicles has a very high strategic value. This is a great thread which will be super helpful, especially when war party's come out.
