The land raider and group Herchel was with manged to make it inside the land raider a few of the getting impaled Perdix losing his arm as he got was the last one to get in, The apothcary bandaging Herchels wounds and apllying a cocktail of drugs into Herchels neck. "Concusion your buddies got a lot of past head wounds it seems, If he keeps getting him hes likely gonna end up like a senile dreadnought." The Imperial fist apothcary spoke as he begana working on the black shields lack of a arm, There ride would come to a shakey stop as a missile collided with the side, The wounded having to move it on foot as as a Tech marine ordered them out and began making desperate repairs to get the land raider moving before the traitors reached there position.

The blood angel grabbing the a the mortal auxilla and the Ratling as they began moving as quick as they could on foot at the side of the conovy, Herchel as he moved was stumbling as he did, Talos steadied him as they moved Perdix assisted the one legged Imperial fist apothcary helping him limp as The Templar brethern and imperial fist went on the defense guarding them as they used there strength to get them to the moutain bunker.

For several hours it was pure hell, Bodies, names life runes darting out, sounds of friends dying, the dead and dying mixed up as Herchel began moving, They tried to get as many as they could as they moved but they knew they had to keep moving they had to leave some behind, Herchel could hear a imperial fist cursing as he went over several other bodies of his brothers the apothcary only stoping to harvest there geneseed and even then grabbing what they could before they had to begun running again, Herchel was only able to look back once to see the horrors of what was slaughtering the loyalist forces, Reptialians, Bulls bloodied monsters of red and rage, Monsterous with only one purpose to destroy.

Talos corrected him by getting him to look at the path forward seeing the back of the convoy and the gates, Heavy bolter fire and the thumping of cannons as they saw heading towards the traitors lines. They continued moving only to stop as they suddenly heard the sound of a Rhino coming upon them A white scar rhino pulling over and opening the back. "GET IN! we got only three minutes to get in before they start sealing up!" A white scar said. Herchel some what only managed to twitched his mouth glad to see the sons of the warhawk giving them a ride, Wounded piled in first with only half of a tactical squad inside before Talos and the imperial fists hopped on top with the blood angel.

They sped towards the mountains at speeds even Herchel was surprised to see a rhino go at. "You warhawks defiantly know how to keep a reputation." Herchel said he felt his stomach churned as they moved it would only be a minute before they were in the mountain but for Herchel it felt like a hour. The back opened as a Black shield and several other medical professional began piling in to drag them out. Herchel given basic field surgery as he and Perdix, and several others where wheeled to surgery bay, The Black shield apothcary doing quick work removing what was impaled in him still and do what they could to help the damage with Herchels skull and brain.

Being only half a hour Herchel was wheeled out back into the armory Give back his siege pattern terminator armor he loaded, Silently a bit slower then usual His launcher of vulgaririty was loaded with a special mix of missles that they managed to 'Commandeer' from the Death guard, Phospex and rad missles, toxic stuff that was sure to give the traitors a hurting, Grabbing up his volkite he was glad he was able to get it combid from the salmmanders from his time with them. "Istavaan was nothing like this..." Herchel said to himself coughing up some blood and vommit as he did and putting his helmet to his belt before heading out.

As Herchel and it into the loading bay he began looking for his brothers, A tiny part of him began making him feel despair and dread that he would be approached by his superiors to get a report that they were amoungst the bodies outside the passed. To say the least he was glad to be proved wrong when he saw Villhelm and Krem was a understatement.

@Redthirst @WanderingJester Herchels eyes looked distant as he looked to them, "Brothers good to see you made it," Herchel said looking to them as he walked over back in his terminator armor, His face devoid of the positiviness and jokes it once held, "Damn those traitors got a lot of our buddies back there and buddies of our other cousins, I never thought it would get an worst then istavaan, But this this is something on another level." Herchel commented strike of despair coming out of his once positive demeanor. attempting to change back to the subject of the others Herchel poked at his helm.

"Before I got in the mountain I thought I saw Marcus life rune still with us, Seth if he is alive is either coming in or killing traitors and getting spirits, up, Dyzek.... If he is alive is making his way here or killing a bunch of traitors, Likely with that silent sister and Nathienel, They if there not riding in are coming in somehow," Herchel said trying to sound postive as he talked, "So while we wait have you heard any news from the other legions? I heard something from the imperial fists and white scars about performing a bit of games or say who can rack out the most amount of traitor kills before the end of the battle or before there taken out..." Herchel said. "anyone up for that game when the others get back?" Herchel asked trying to get a burst of positivist within them

"Remember that the fiery magma flows through our veins, brothers in the black," on their ride towards resupplying the avatars of Karnath would descend upon the defenders alongside Blood God's chosen son. Seth saw the creatures for what they were, rage, blood and brass given life but he knew that these...daemons could cloud minds of others, especially those who were open for manipulation by having some secret sin or a doubt within their hearts. They needed guidance and Soul Smith was there to preform his duty.

"Horus sent his blood hounds to bleed us, but we remain unbroken. Now they trash, pillage and loot out of fury for the bastions of Terra still stand. Look at these creatures and see what they are - a reflection of the sins of our traitorous brothers. This is the future they wanted to bring and this is what we are fighting to prevent. A future drowned in a tide of blood where mankind would be erradicated and where those flying things would rule for eternity."

"And now we shall once again prove that our iron is the strongest. Replenish your supplies, rest your minds and prepare your spirits for the greatest battle in the history of Mankind is upon us!"

Kremnar Eranite looked over as their terminator brother arrived, impressed with the speed in which he got his usual gear back on. Raising a hand in greeting, he spotted the specialized munitions warheads on his missile launcher. "Good to see you Brother Herchel. Stopped by the armory already huh? How did you manage to get in here before the convoy?" the sternguard veteran asked, a grin almost appearing through his white helmet. "Good to hear about our other brothers. I worry not; if they do fall, we can rest easy knowing there's one less heavy armor unit out there waiting for us. Tell me, are those the prize we seized from the Death Guards? You do know we can't exactly vacate Terra after the war's over, right?"

A bit of a light hearted moment, before Kremnar remembered the events of Istvaan. Though it might compromise
their blackshield status, he spoke of it anyway. "This might just be as bad as it was on Istvaan to be honest. We weren't on the planet's surface, but we did hear the death cries of many of our cousin. This might have been exactly what they faced by themselves there, the only difference we have is that the Emperor is with us himself, and that will make all the difference." He listened as Herchel suggested they joined a contest on who could kill the most before the battle was out. The sternguard veteran patted the terminator's pauldron before replying, "perhaps with the others. I'll probably lose count myself, brother. I'm just interested in who kills all of the traitors, not how many buckets each of us empty out of this ocean."

When the Apothecary finally landed the Fire Raptor, he gave off an exhausted sigh - slumping back in the seat and leaning his head back upon the backpack, feeling the interfacing with the gunship deactivating and letting him be him once more.

Admittedly, he hadn't payed much attention as Tyrus soon left without a word, going to find himself more duties to perform. Instead, he just... Waited, relaxed. He lazily reached over to pick up his Narthecium and attach it onto the forearm once more, then sliding out and moving back to sit himself beside the damaged ball turret.

A hand reached down to pick up a broken shard of reinforced glass, a twang of regret coming through him. If he'd not been so careless, they might have...

He looked to the blood spatters all around, the bits of ceramite that littered the damaged insides of the ball turret, and sat there. He noticed some Auxilia coming by and looking to him, seeing this (alleged) Dark Angel silently mourn the passing of one of the loyalist brethren, sitting miserably with a piece of broken glass in one hand and the other resting on the broken seat.

A slow, lazy sigh came through Marcus soon afterwards, minutes later finally getting the energy to leave the Fire Raptor; the loss of a battle-brother in the heat of battle was not something he felt, though it was down times that such things caused him pain.

It reminded him of the loss of another companion, too.

Xerxes; their psyker many years before. A small chuckle came through his mind as he thought back on it, a tiny bit of amused embarrassment at the memory of his breakdown. How he screamed and wept like a normal human would.

Normal human... It was still a bizarre thought, to distance himself from being associated with humans, even if he was one; he was Astartes as well. Could they in such matters still be considered humans? Genetically, yes, but...
    Well; they were so distant.

He shook the thoughts off and pulled his hood back up, the white robes still covering his Artificer armour and a hand resting on his power blade. As he walked past the Fire Raptor to see to whomsoever needed assistance, he reached in the turret and picked up a piece of ceramite from the deceased recruit's armour, setting it aside into a pouch; a small memento to remember him by.

The carnage had been incredible. Each inch of their journey towards safety had to be torn, tooth and nail, from the claws and mouths of countless chaos spawn. Vera had; of course, seen such creatures before, but never in such numbers. A thick cloud of Furies had descended upon Terra as vultures upon corpses, their sole purpose being to rip apart each stitch of the defenses hat had taken unthinkable hours to erect in a matter of moments. Horrid beasts with horrid creatures upon their backs interspliced the dark storm of fur and teeth. Gifts of the War God, who would be undoubtedly pleased by the suffering seen upon this day, Vera was sure. There was a hell of a lot of red, a hell of a lot of black, a hell of a lot of blood, and a hell of a lot of… other stuff? Near the end there.

By the time their battered transport finally rolled to a grinding halt, Vera would be well and truly exhausted as she’d never been before. The ache of her leg had not faded, rather it had been pushed aside for more important matters such as where she should put her knife, how many rounds she had left in the magazine, and good gracious, that sword should NOT be that close to her head. Their group, however, was undoubtably spared the worst of the assaults. Though it didn’t entirely stop the warpfilth from attacking, Vera’s aura was sure to have discouraged a great deal, as well as assisted in dispatching a great deal more.

Even with that said and an Astartes by her side, Vera would still be rendered in a state of disorientation and shock as they finally arrived at the bustling bunker. Her exhaustion would be quite evident in her eyes as well as movement as she updated her squad with her whereabouts and, upon receiving word that the rest of them had already been co-opedinto some meeting somewhere, gave Dyzek a sharp nod before wiggling her way out of the mess of snarled metal, and limping away towards a medicae tent.

What initially looked like a triumph quickly turned around, as World Eaters arrived. Even more mad and twisted than Vilhelm remembers, they now had even more monsters at their side, most of whom weren't Astartes. Now after their initial success they were forced to retreat, as bolstered by reinforcements traitors turned around and fought with renewed tenacity.

Giving up more and more land, loyalists were pushed back into the Imperial Palace, and thus the siege began, as traitors now had a sizable foothold with several space ports in their control, allowing for a steady stream of forces to the surface. Still, even after the initial bombardment the Palace was a sight to behold, and here the general insanity of World Eater vanguard might play into loyalist's hands, as their attempt at assaulting loyalist fortifications would quickly turn into a slaughter. However, it was unlikely that the rest of the traitor forces, particularly their former brothers from Fourth would suddenly forget how to siege a fortress, so the fight would certainly be a desperate one.

Hopefully the Emperor, who was still entirely absent from the siege, would have some tricks up his sleeve, as certainly someone who single-handedly saved humanity once can save just one planet.

"Perhaps, I know we cant vacate terra after the battle thats why I got a bit of plan on using these missiles, Planing on hitting traitors coming out of vehicles or maybe those big ugly xenos, or other monstrous they have out there in the head or chest, Should eat away on them before they get on the ground and if it does get on the ground, Well I got a few weapons that may help with clean up involving vaporizing any remaining Chemicals from the ground, Only seen the world eaters and iron warriors down here, makes me wonder where the other traitors are, The Pretty boys, and them death guard, and bat boys be missing, not to mention horus's boys and Mortys stubborn sons, Wonder if there waiting for perturabo and the angry boys for clearing them a bath before assaulting us, Would make sense since they only began getting there bigger toys on the ground including those xenos and abominations they got."

Noticing Kremanrs comment about how he got hear so fast Herchel checked his clock. "That I am not so sure myself, Thought me and the Fists and that blood boy got here almost last, A white scar was nice enough to give us a ride after we had to hitchhike after being kicked out from our land raider after it took some damage and needed emergency repairs. Honestly thought more time had past, A apothcary said something about a concussion from a crash and something about mounting cranial damage, Don't think its anything to bad since I am up and walking around but I have been having to get shots in my skull for it." Herchel said some what surprised he got here before the convoy.

    @Vlayden
Herchel was mumbling about in his terminator armor as he went about before he spotted him... the Dark angel. " Marcus good to see you made it, Damn things got bad after the crash, Likely going to get worst before it gets better but good to see another one of us survived," Herchel said patting his brother on the pauldron. "Got a bit of a problem I need to ask about, Marcus Medical one, Do you know anything about Implants for the brain and skull I think I may need something for my head in the future, Took a bit of a beating from a crash but was able to pull through due to Talos, and Perdix and a few fists, though one of there apothecaries after working on me told me something about seeing about some time of cranial implant in the future from our legion wanted to know if you heard anything about em?" Herchel asked as he looked to his brother noticing somewhat change of stamp and the look of the apothecary he wondered if something was wrong. "You alright Marcus?" Herchel asked as he looked to his squads apothecary.

    @RuinaImperii
Herchel would spot there sister that was with Nathinel and was heading to Dyzeks signature last before Herchel remembered the crash of his fighter against the landing craft stopping most of the stuff that yug was planning to get on the surface heading towards her almost at a brisk jog Herchel would be in front of Vera to speak to her. "Vera you were last heading to Dyzeks fighter near he crashed did you see what happen to him?" Herchel asked looking to Vera, Suddenly realizing the mistake "Wait you cant speak right..." Making a quick idea in his head Herchel began trying to make a few sign gestures for positive and negative. "Can you give me a positive sign if he survive and negative if.... well... he went down fighting." Herchel said a grimace at the thought of Dyzek being swarmed by traitors
  8. @Vulpas @RuinaImperii

"That will not be necessary, brother."

From behind, Herchel would feel a force pull up at his leg, so that in one swift, fluid motion, his center of balance would be upset. With one hand clasped around the terminator's leg, in a span of time not even lasting a heartbeat, Dyzek would send a fist crashing into Herchel's helmed visage, knocking the marine to lay on his back upon the floor. Having made his arrival and survival all too clear to the man, Dyzek would take a moment to turn his gaze towards the Sister of Silence, placing a foot upon Herchel's chest plate. Behind him, lay a small convoy of solar auxilia, the driver of the Chimera that had evacuated him, along with the Ogryn would seemed to be doing much better outside of the now abandoned transport. To the sister, he'd offer a quick nod, as the auxilai driver would move forward, almost hesitantly, to offer her support while she stood on injured leg. After looking back towards Dyzek, the man would wait for a quick word from the Blackshield, as he'd speak with a growl from his vox.

"My thanks brave warriors, for your service and grit to The Imperium. Sister Vera, when you have properly gotten treatment, please pass word onto your squad that my own will be expecting a rendezvous soon. There is a long siege ahead of us, but for now, take what time you can to recover."

Seeing off the mortals, Dyzek would then turn his crimson gaze down towards Herchel, as he crossed his arms upon his chest. He'd speak over the private vox, not wishing words to be heard by those passing by.

"If you abandon formation again, scrub your armour down to it's gunmetal grey, and go find some others to support your foolishness. We are not men of the XIIth or VIth Legion, who go chasing after our emotions in battle, we are the disciplined warriors of Iron. I don't care what words the foe send at you, you will keep to your objectives, and keep some modicum of control, am I clear?"

Dyzek would step back from his brother, offering up both hands to help the terminator rise, depending on his answer. Dyzek did not enjoy talks such as these, but could not shake the memory that if Herchal hadn't charged off on a vengeful attack run, that the air assets of Seventh might have obliterated the Cargo transports outright, rather then he needing to destroy his own craft mere moments before they could deploy. Regardless, he'd look towards his brother, before speaking again.

"I haven't been notified of any casualties, where are the rest of 44th? How fares Seventh, and have we received new orders?"

Kremnar Eranite listened to his terminator brother, still unconvinced about the utilization of the Death Guard weapons on Terra. Vaporizing radiation wasn't exactly an option, but he kept his doubts to himself. "All right then brother. If Sarge clears them, you'll get no protests from me. As for the other legions, I'm sure they're taking advantage of what Angron's dogs are doing in the front. Hell, I would do the same in their position. Let the madmen die first, weaken the enemy before they charge in themselves to seize the glory, like the vainglorious pretenders the III Legion's always been." As the sternguard veteran listened to the terminator, he nodded to his explanation once the White Scars came into play. Their specialty had always been speed, so picking up even one of the slower Legionnaires around wouldn't slow them down too much.

Just then, Kremnar began to spot others from the Seventh coming in. Apothecary Marcus landed his battered craft not long after the conversation started. Soon after, the Sister of Silence attached to them limped past them to a medicae tent, evidently hurt from the fight before, and Sergeant Dyzek joined them after. He watched bemusedly as Sarge took down the terminator before growling about something about breaking formation in the middle of battle. Waving to get the former pilot's attention, the sternguard veteran spoke up, "here Sarge, along with our esteemed Iron Master as well. Just saw Apothecary Marcus not too long ago." He waved over to Brother Vilhelm close by, along with the general direction where he spotted Marcus. "Good to see you making it out in one piece. Those in the skies were dropping one by one when we were rushing to get back here. Not sure where everyone else is; I lost track of nearly all of the Seventh during the mass retreat back."

"AHAHAHA Good to see your alive to. Crystal old buddy Didn't get nothing done going after that damned train of the warp smiths," Herchel said through the vox link laughing as he took his hand and got up," Causalities so far, Marcus from his drop ship lost one of his gunners, Both Kremnar, and Marcus are alive along with Vilhelm, when I was being dragged back in I am pretty sure I heard Seth when I was making my way up here rallying the spirits of our boys on the field and of our own forces, Talos and Perdix alive, Perdix without a arm and is getting a bionic at the moment. From the field below though I heard eight and sixth and fifth have all been losing parts of there squad several former penitents I heard stayed to help hold of the traitors. So Far most of us in the seventh are rearming and refitting there guns." Herchel said a small headache on his side but more glad to see one of his battle brothers from the battle still alive even if he was disciplining him and threatening to throw him out of the squad.
