I have to admit whenever I think to ask a question I fear getting yelled at for not using the search, so you'll have to forgive me if there is an obvious answer that I missed. Are there any notable communities that have a hold here? As in, gaming groups that have been around awhile before this game? The reason I ask is because besides EC I would like to find people to play other games with, but I'm not terribly sure where to start with that anymore.
Well you can ask me anything. I am always willing to help out! Alas I cannot answer that. Because I honestly do not know if there are any concrete guilds formed yet. But I do know they are around here. You could make a topic asking people if they would like to play other games with you. Just make a list with games you would like to play and see who will react. Most people here are avid gamers and certainly play more then one genre or type of game
Yeah I suppose thats a good idea, I shall put that in the off-topic section I think. Originally my idea has been to find a dedicated group that has been around a good while and try joining up with them, but somehow that seems to be easier said than done in my case. Perhaps just finding mutual interested people to play certain games with is not a bad choice either.

Pardon me for using my introduction thread for general questions, but is something up with the Eldar faction for EC? It seems to me that people aren't too thrilled with how the faction is being treated? That is somewhat of the impression I seem to be getting over there.
The " problem " they have is that there are no eldar assets in the game yet. Every piece of alpha footage we see is from the Space marines and Chaos space marines. So the Eldar and Orks are not getting much attention at this moment ( At least not here in the open ) So after a long time without as much as a model they are getting a tad edgy. But as far as I can see it EC wants to flesh out the base game before creating assets. Making sure everything works and it is fun to play And when the base is done then they will move on with introducing the other assets and flesh out the world more. Again that is my opinion.
Isn't the game still in pre-alpha? And they plan to have a release of sorts in the fall? Seems like they are nowhere near done by the videos I have watched so far.
Yes it is still in pre-alpha, Full launch is planned for late 2016 the founders access planned for this fall is to be a alpha type testing phase where thousands of crusaders/founders will be able to play the alpha build and look for and report as many bugs and glitches as we can (Try and brake it) so the dev team can start fixing them making the build better, stronger and stable, also to be a reward for founders for supporting Eternal Crusade while it's in development so they can play and have a part in the development process, In time it will turn in to founders beta for beta testing before it opens up for open beta (If they do open beta) then launch hopefully late 2016! Founders also will be able to livestream their gameplay from founders access so others can see the gamplay of the build and see weekly if not daily improvements, when this starts gamer's will be able to watch up-to-date gameplay as it is being streamed and not wait tell the next livestream twitch, so gamer's can see if they think the game is safe to put their money in to (Remember that you can ask for a refund at any time up to launch) There is no problem asking questions here, as you can see there is helpful members welling to help (*High Five* @Vikingvesk) if you have more questions just ask and we will do our best to help out.
Dat shoutout! * High fives back * And what this good man said is all true. It is pre alpha footage even. And it will not be fully launched in a good while. People are just getting a bit impatient because faction X is not in the game yet. It will all be there. We just need to be patient!
