Can I just link to all the comments I've made in the previous fifty "Combat State" threads, or do I need to type all that crap all over again? T
IIRC it's already been confirmed that overkill will ignore the wounded state. So things like headshots, or direct blasts from rockets/plasma cannon blasts or whatever should ignore the wounded and just instant kill. Same as the tank running the character over did in one of the videos I saw.
in addition to the overkill if you was in the downed state in the last 30sec (15 if you got up with the help of a support class) you can't enter it again
I mean to say that I've heard that before too (it's why I used the work "overkill") but I don't remember whether it came from a credible source or just some clever poster. I think it should be easier to bypass the wounded state than with only headshots and direct rocket hits (they haven't said it was the only way, but we shouldn't speculate). The wounded state shouldn't be something you always have to go through when you want to kill people. The game will get really slow and tiresome to play that way.
It's official, they mention that power fist or lass cannon will kill people, no downed state, I will try to find the source. "It’s possible to use incredibly powerful weaponry like lascannons, demolisher cannons or power fists to blast an enemy right through the ‘downed’ state and just kill them outright" http://games.on.net/2014/06/why-im-quietly-excited-about-warhammer-40k-eternal-crusade/
It would be cool if "realistic" reviving happened, such that, your down on the ground crawling around. Then, an apothacary comes over, takes at least 10 seconds to stitch you up, then you can recover, at like half health or whatever, instead of Gears of War style instant revival.
na he ment the "downed in the last 30 sec? not downed again" thing ^^ well you also need to make sure that apos want to help ppl if it takes 10 sec then i would prefer continue shooting instead of reviving
