The "wounded" State.

    Completely agree.
Earlier threads on terminators had a suggestion to make them extremely resistant to light weapon fire(bolters , shurikens and simpler dakka). Something like that would be good.

For the downed state at least with wraithguard it doesn't make a lot of sense for someone to patch them up and bring them back.
A normal marine lifting a terminator ... well it could work but I'd rather be against it.
A boy lifting a nob sounds like a big no to me.

Yep, if termies and their equivalents from other factions are resilient enough maybe there will be no need for the downed state and reviving mechanics for them.

Well you could simply make the revival much slower when done by non healer classes.

Just to be clear my point was not wether you can see or not the health bar or hp. My point was to use another system totally that could show the damage dynamic in a better way (like wound level (not bar or hp) per location).

As for hiding the health bar it should not be an option either all see it or no one. I woun't defend a position on the subject (though no health bar and graphic effect should be more immersive).

in my experience it's a terrible situation when a kill is counted when the player has a chance to be revived. it leads to people padding stats of one form or another. two guys from opposing factions sit in a corner on their own and kill each other over and over for something other than sport.

a kill shouldn't be a kill until the dead player is off the field, in my opinion.

    How.......why......porque???

Because it had minimal rules and required assistance OR luck and tenacity both!

Found it a detriment to any serious PvP, especially with bannerspam/unbalanced downed abilities and the fact that deaths of foes could actually revive you through magic of what-the-everloving-fuck.
Personally i hope GW2 is the last place they look into when checking out possible downed state ideas.
  10. I feel that's wrong direction to go, and negates the need for battlefield medic type classes, which WILL present in Eternal Crusade.

If every possible class can revive fallen team mates, you're falling into the same category of every other flavor of the month shooter on the market. I'd like to see EC stand out from the rest of the pack, and offer an extremely challenging overall gaming experience.

Leave the reviving of fallen team mates to the medic classes. This will increase the need for these type classes in every 10 man squad, and make for a better overall balancing of the classes.

From the "reviving" I saw in the Alpha footage, sorry in advance to any devs reading this, but it's kind of laughable. Miguel has stated over and over he wants players to experience the "reality" of what it would be like to be an actual Space Marine fighting in the 41st Millennium. Sorry to say, I dont think 1 to 3 seconds to revive a fallen team mate falls into that reality. Even with the SM's stims and narcotics subsystems that are built into thier armor, as well as their inherent ability to "self heal", along with any assistance from their Battle Brothers, 1-3 seconds is gimmicky and wreaks of Call of Duty, Battlefield 4, ect.

If you're going to implement a revive mechanic, stick to the LORE please, stick to the reality of the 40K Universe. Screw Call of Duty, screw Gears of War... come up with something new and refreshing that fits with the 40K universe, set a new bar in the gaming industry, rather than falling "in line" with the industry norms.

I spent 10 years of my life as a combat medic, so if you(the developers) need any ideas, I'd be more than happy to help out.
