I would need to dig up a lot of the old cast in order for that to be true, and then I would need to know where to start.

If I remember correctly we lost Orks and Necrons as quickly as we got them, we had a critical shortage of Eldar and tau and the heretics didn't turn up until right at the very end. It was a surprisingly loyalist group of individuals if you forget about the one dark Eldar.

If I do ever do that though Reklar is going to turn up, and he is going to be ticked about losing his space hulk.

There is nothing wrong with starting from scratch. Also I think you totally went against the goal/plot I was aiming for. Which was in fact that the Space Hulk was indestructible and the only way to get off it was to realize and acknowledge one's sins in the final battle against the machine spirit itself (Glados style). As the Space Hulk itself was some sort of (Chaos?) God.

A god of retribution. Kind of like your soul giving away to Cegorach who then plays with it poker against Slaanesh. Just that this god simply claimed your soul when you died. And if you are sincere about your redemption, s/he throws your soul back and you will be reincarnated. (hurray!)

At least that was my plan.... ^^

Dony,Jori and me had plans for BoE V2...we just had to wrap up the V1 but...inactivity racked all over your beloved RP until I was the only one left...alone...in a dark...daemon/ork infested 'Space Hulks!".
    We had plans!

Band of Exiles? Sounds interesting, can anyone provide some details?

It'll certainly give me something to do with Jack Tower, right now my primary goal was for him to fall out of a rift in the warp somewhere and keeping his initial means of travel secret hook up with a random Imperial guard regiment somewhere. Reviving the band of exiles thread though does resurrect another plot idea I had for him before it all ended prematurely.

Did not do well with that latest post I think, I overslept so therefore had less time to mull it over and I think it may have impacted the finished product, it was primarily to provide some down time anyway.

I've got a serious issue to consider for my next couple of posts, one that I think may potentially be lore breaking for 40k if it wasn't already but it is also something that is crucial to the story of the Thunderchild and that's it fighting the invaders.

Well we are here to help. Ask and we can provide feedback if you want.

Well in the original story the Thunderchild was a Ironclad torpedo ram class ship that was present in escorting refugee craft away from the stricken city as it was being sieged by the invaders, before the refugee fleet could leave however they were almost intercepted by the Martians which were aiming to cut off the escape of the civilian ships.

This intercept was in turn obstructed by the Ironclad which was guarding the coastal area from attack and in the story it drove headlong right at the invaders as they advanced cannons blazing. As the Thunderchild held off the invaders the refugee ships had enough time to escape to open sea, in this same battle the Ironclad also managed to bring down two of the invaders before eventually being destroyed itself.

The problem is the Necrons have complete supremacy in space combat, it takes the largest capital ships of the Imperial navy to even destroy one of their ships let alone several which poses a serious problem. Research I have done on their space craft actually states specifically only three occasions where the Imperium has successfully managed to disable a Necron harvest ship and those were in some heavy duty engagements. The idea that a near obsolete Ironclad battering ram can take down not one but two Necron ships before being destroyed itself seriously gives me pause for thought and it is probably one of the first genuine problems we have to face in this adaptation.
