Heavy weapon specialty is that you can opt to take any heavy weapon that might be taken by Imperial guard forces, e.g. mortars, lascannons, missile launchers heavy bolters. essentially anything out of the heavy weapons category of the Imperial guard codex. The same goes for anything involving special weapons.
This is true; I was just being careful. I come from communities where very express permission is required for everything, and so I sometimes need approval in three-page letters to be comfortable.
Scrapping my old concept to coordinate with @UnluckyFellow and play BRUVVAS. Name: Andreas Machiadyn Age: 23 Homeworld: Tarsis (Hive World) Former regiment: 1st Tarsis Redeemers (Light Infantry) Regimental role: Marksman/spotter Physical description: Andreas is dark-haired and fair-skinned. He is tall and lanky, but the guardsman's life has made him physically fit, even though it's done little to make him imposing. Around his neck, he carries a small wooden trinket carved in the fashion of the Aquila, which he holds close to his chest during prayer. In battle, he takes off his amulet and wraps it around the barrel of his autogun, or long-las, should he be deployed with one. During missions he carries a few select items beside the standard-issue guardsman equipment. Among these items are a long-las and a pair of magnoculars, shared with his brother Simon, and an autogun. History: Andreas spent his early years within the confines one of the PDF strongholds littering Tarsis' surface, due to the outside world having been overrun by mutants ever since the end of the Tarsis Rebellion. His homeworld's governor had declared independence, to which the Imperium responded with throwing penal legionnaires at the once-illustrious world until it submitted. The massive, planet-wide conflict stirred the mutant hordes that hid under the surface, and the smog that followed the conflict hid the sun from their light-sensitive eyes. The result was that Tarsis was lost to mutant hordes, with the exception of a few holdouts of joint PDF and Imperial Guard resistance. Gradually, the soldiers cleared out safe zones, and it was under these conditions Andreas grew up. Andreas held his first gun at the age of eight, and that was also when he shot his first mutant, under his older brother's guidance. Ever since the mutant hordes flooded the hive cities, Tarsis bred tough sons and daughters. Like his brother, was noted for his eagle-eyed precision and marksmanship. When Tarsis was given another chance to prove its loyalty to the Imperium with the mustering of the 1st Tarsis Redeemers regiment, Andreas was a natural candidate. Together with his brother, he formed an excellent sniper team, though he never encountered anything but rebel guardsmen and mutants, until the two of them were forwarded to the 19th Valentian and their first encounters with the otherworldly Eldar.
Name: Simon Machiadyn Age: 26 Homeworld: Tarsis (Hive World) Former regiment: 1st Tarsis Redeemers (Light Infantry) Regimental role: Marksman/spotter Physical description: Simon is has brown hair and pale skin. He is about 4 inches shorter than his brother and just as lanky. The Guardsman’s life has done little but become a giant headache for him. Though his endurance is fairly good, he is constantly struggling under the weight of all his kit. His most prized and arguably only real possession is an autopistol that’s matte finish has become scratched and pitted from years of hard use. During missions he carries a few select items beside the standard-issue guardsman equipment. Among these items are a long-las and a pair of magnoculars, shared with his brother, and an autogun if Sebastian isn’t picking up the slack. History: Simon spent his early years within the confines one of the PDF strongholds littering Tarsis' surface, due to the outside world having been overrun by mutants ever since the end of the Tarsis Rebellion. Gradually, the soldiers cleared out safe zones, and it was under these conditions Simon grew up. Simon held his first gun at the age of five, shortly after their father had almost been eaten by mutants that had burst through a previously unknown tunnel. It was his job to protect the family while their father was out of the house. He’s carried the same autopistol for 21 years. Like his brother, Simon was noted for his eagle-eyed precision and marksmanship. When Tarsis was given another chance to prove its loyalty to the Imperium with the mustering of the 1st Tarsis Redeemers regiment, Simon was a less than ideal candidate because of his gaunt look but was able to prove the Guard wrong.. Together with his brother, he formed an excellent sniper team, though he never encountered anything but rebel guardsmen and mutants, until the two of them were forwarded to the 19th Valentian and their first encounters with the otherworldly Eldar. Spoiler Blatant copy/paste for the win
Ok so five participants so far, I will wait until monday and see who else has joined in that time. In the meantime I need to sort out some minor kinks in the story to better serve the adaptation following the book.
So we have a Sniper/Spotter Hive Planet team, Rifleman Void born from a drop regiment, Heavy Weapon Half Eldar, and A former Skitarii Sergeant. Oh and a Veteran former Colonel that makes my count six.
Counts on his fingers. @Kalle @UnluckyFellow @Uriel1339 @Maleth @Illfetus @TechCaptain That's six. A couple more would probably be good for this kind of campaign, yes!
Yes I deleted my old post because before I counted six and I subtracted one because I saw you said that you scrapped your post, I didn't actually see that you had edited it out in its entirety as I was only looking at the long posts and counting them.
