Is there anybody out there with more information about events during and before the Fall? Any novels or wiki articles that elaborate specific events? Like how did the Seers manage to evacuate the remaining Eldar from the Crone Worlds and what were the Crone Worlds like (before they were converted into Daemonic passion pits) ? I want to know how the Eldar lived before they were forced to fight for their survival. The beauty and light that emanated from those worlds must have been beautiful and I'm really curious. Thanks. :D

In the Path of the Outcast (Gav Thorpe) there is a group of eldar (rangers, corsairs and harlequins) who lands on one of those with the intent to collect a few tears of Isha (spirit stones). Some crone worlds have remained intact since the fall, only emptied of its inhabitants, as you will soon find out if you read the novel. I think it's my favorite one of the trilogy, because it shows us how eldar really live out of the Path (a reflection of past ages, I guess).

Commoragh's society is also a splinter of what remains of the Lost Empire. The commorites are considered by some (who are not necessarily from the dark kin mass) as the authentic heirs of the ancient eldar culture (you can find all this details, and more, in Andy Chambers' dark eldar trilogy).

Hm, I think in Codex: Necrons there's some things about the War in Heaven, which apparently included the Eldar at one point I vaguely remember there being some information there, otherwise these guys have you covered.
  5. The ancient Eldar had perfected their science and technology to such an extent that they could remake planets and quench the light of the very stars at a whim. The need for labour or hard work in Eldar society was but a dim memory of a difficult past. The Eldar, arrogant in the belief that they were now the true masters of their destiny, now spent more and more of their time is esoteric pursuits and entertainments intended to escape the ennui that set in over the course of their centuries long life of ease and comfort.

as far as governments go? this most likely was vastly different from planet to planet. look at the craftworlds for an example-- they all have differing cultures.

  10. One of the best descriptions out there comes from the mouth of the Supreme Overlord of Commorragh himself.

This is from the short story "Torturer's Tale" which I found ages ago on GW's website. I am unsure if they've removed it by now, but if not, I heartily recommend downloading it and having a read.

Anyway, here's his description of the pre-Fall Eldar Empire:
