The problem with MoN is not actually intrinsic to its stats, but rather the fact that most players do not use all of their kits. How many people do you see using grenades every spawn or healing/reloading themselves or an ally? Which gets more kills, having a passive armor bonus or spawning every single life with a grenade? Definately up for debate here. Use your kits people.
Metrics are old. Back then i wouldn´t argue melee was stronger. Now it is. Alos if you use Power swords or PlasmaGuns the MoN does nothing. You die to the same amount of power sword swings with MoN as without. Same with PlasmaGun shots. What we need is ingame weapon stats to explain that.
In one of my maggon games last night the top score WAS a lascannon. Had 4 kills but was the highest points that whole match. Also don't knock the bolter down that much, you can frequently do very well with it and I've frequently gotten top scores beating both teams with tactical.
