Exactly, btw melee has always been stronger than ranged classes in EC, this is the flavour of this game, look who's dominating the scoreboards: is it lascannon users, tacticals - no, what a surprise?
But that was what Algernon said in the post you quoted. Melee is stronger than range? And you answered with: ? Seems like you agree with him in my opinion.
Unfortunately there were no ranged classes on the Chaos side during the matches mentioned. One of my guild mates summed it up accurately when noting that Chaos players were 100% melee: "Might as well be a Warhammer Fantasy game and not 40K".
Everyone seems to forget that this game is not about kills. I mean sure, I agree, some things are broken, but the devs always told us the game is about tactical objectives, not killing. If you play a tactical, you cap points. If you play apot/sorc/etc you should be supporting, if you play dev/etc you have fire support, and if you're an assault you kill (offence is the best defence style). If one thing is really killing you, think about it tactically. See who you faced. Of course you'll get fucked if its you against, because that's basically their whole team and its kinda your fault for getting in a 1 on 9 situation. Play smart. Practice until you find loadouts or jobs you're good at. If you suck at cc maybe you'll find you're great at tank hunting and decide to do that. Things may be unbalanced, but there's always a way around it. If Melee is too strong, no one will expect when you stay behind your melee-heavy team and snipe. Tl;dr: Things may be broken, but be like Nature- because "nature always finds a way"
Actually... Was from using just the las all match. Also, I routinely top the scoreboards with those classes, tactical, havoc, sorc, raptor. A lot of it comes down to people playing one class exclusively and being unable to adapt to changing situations in the match. Yeah, no. That's bullshit.
I duspute melee being stronger. Even the Metrics they posted inidcated roughly 60% of kills were made by guns and 40% by melee weapons.
