All examples of games with a population orders of magnitudes larger than ours. I don't think reaching level 15 in Chivalry equates to reaching level 2 in Eternal Crusade, considering you reach rank 2 in only a handful of games
Imagine that. Surely a coincidence. Rank 2 means? You don't get armor at rank 2. You don't get meltabombs at rank 2. You don't get boltgun attachments or vengeance storm bolters at rank 2. You don't get power sword mastery discount at rank 2. Most of the stuff I use predominantly on my builds I got after playing for dozens of hours. Like for example the Vengeance Storm Bolter, grav gun damage attachments most people don't even realize exist, or the boltgun barrel magazine, or the impact grips on power weapons, or the Vulkan multi-melta.
But you sure as hell understand how to play the game at rank 2, even if your melee skills aren't up to snuff.
I find many people don't understand how to play the game at rank 6, even when their melee skills are up to snuff...
So let me get this straight. You "learn to play the game" in a "handful of games," but you need a separate matchmaking system built from the ground up that will separate all new players into a test realm before they can queue for a regular game. That is genius science.
Lets use the garrison! Maybe a special area where people can practice capturing a point and some RTC is rewarded for veterans for training noobs? =o
Hey be thankful all of us have new "rank ones" it's the lifeblood of any multiplayer game. Treat them right and teach them the art of winning and they will thank you in the long run .
If you're having problems with the standard Bolter, get the 10k RTC Sternguard Bolter. You be surprised how many enemies suddenly take a dirt-nap when you can hold down the trigger for 60 rounds. Drum mag is life.
