They stopped, ready to lay cover fire should it be needed, as the rest of the group retreated with the. Steve was assailed by a giant rat, which bit in to his leg with its fullest force. A point blank shot from the bolt pistol ended the rat, though. (I assume that you missed my last post, if I didn't manage to kill it then ignore this) "Damn mutants!" he muttered, making his way over to the trader. "Come with me if you want to live!" Gordon shouted into the trader's ear above the din of combat, he took the fellow behind his shield and moved as fast as he could towards where they came from.

"What do you say, we don't end up being rat food?" he smiled as he took out his plasma gun and aimed at the incoming shambler, firing couple of shots at point blank range, knowing there was no way for him to jump and run away from the creature which wanted to smash his face. OOC: Fox killed it before your post. The shots blasted in to the creature, but it seemed to not really understand the concept of the pain. Despite one shoulder taking extensive damage, the shambler rocked forward, still swinging its good arm. It swatted the plasma pistol away, and reared up to strike Steve down. OOC: 10. 1 in game, 9 for questioning me (I dunno how I fucked that maths up.)
OOC Ok, the craziest idea inc - if I die, it's gonna be like a real man As the shambler reared up, Steve looked at the eyes of the wicked creature and saw only death. However, the son of a whore that survived everything Necromunda had to offer wasn't about to roll back and die just yet. He didn't have time to pull out his guns. He didn't have time to grab his plasma gun, the big thing too unwieldy for this combat. But he did have time to take a hold of his hidden blade. And he did something that surprised even the ugly monster. Instead of dodging left or right, Steve dodged forwards in an attempt to go between the creature's misshapen legs (OOC I saw in sheet you wrote it's a huge beast, so I figured out, why the hell not ) and escape it's claw, while trying to stick his blade in the shambler's groin on the way pass.
