Because Miguel promised a RPG with shooter elements and a strong focus on massive battles, while Nathan delivered a shooter with RPG elements and a strong focus on small battles.

Don't get me wrong, the game is still fun, but a lot of the problems that the testers (yourself included) brought up have been pretty much ignored because the devs insisted that "it's a work in progress" or "it's alpha guys, what more do you want?" Those excuses don't really fly anymore. There are plenty of things they should have done but didn't do.

They SHOULD have focused not on balance but on throwing random stuff into the game to make it feel more full.

They SHOULD have ironed out the key features so players would have had a solid idea what they were buying before it was anywhere close to release.

They SHOULD have let separate devs work on separate races so the separate people could create the factions in their mind, instead of clustering it together like a mesh of "well, you see, a Dark Reaper literally a Devastator but the weapons are a little different and they have different perks."

I mean, there's a bit to blame on the testers' side too. We shouldn't have been asking for balance when the game was barely playable. We shouldn't have been rushing people to add more content to X race, because all of the races weren't symmetrically released. But don't mistake that.

There came a point when the testers' opinions didn't really matter. Somewhere shortly after they started balancing statistics into it, we got less input to the actual races. I'm not sure about LSM, CSM, or Orks, but Eldar got quiet on the dev side for almost a year, even with the race being actively worked on. I think there were probably a handful of posts by anyone from the dev team on the Eldar side. It was either general EC or nothing at all. I felt pretty disconnected to the Eldar development after they asked what they wanted accessories (customizations) to be. There was that and the 5th Craftworld, but that was literally it. Even Banshee questions were hush hush. Swooping Hawks were the same. We were patient, and were generally satisfied with how they were released, but it left that stale feeling in the air of being ignored, and that hasn't gone away.

I am not sure but can you explain to me where I can find rpg in ec?
It is also debatable if he delivered shooter.
Right now it is more slasher and even if you will insist about shooter... I am not considering it delivered when almost every single base fighting mechanism is flawed hard. It is half delivered in my opinion.

Technically it's the loadouts and advancement tree but honestly it's loosely RPGish.
  4. There is zero RPG element to this game unless you guys dress up like your character while playing or a GW employee resting a beer on his gut.

Are you making your character then bringing him into battle? Yes, you are. It's as much of a RPG as Battlefield, but it's still a RPG by definition. Just because it's a crappy version of it (which is why I contrasted in the first place) but it is "technically" a RPG.

Theres a stream of negativity because theres a huge population that is unhappy with the state of the game. I dont see how this is such a magical mystical thing for people to understand. People are unhappy and have been rumbling about the aspects they are unhappy about. Things have been...less than enthusiastically addressed. Especially the things that many people find unattractive about the game. The game launched as a fully fleshed out match based shooter like Battlefield 1. You paid full price for the game, a complete game. Go play Titanfall 2 or Battlefield 1 and tell me that EC is every bit as good as those games. Nobody here bought into a long term investment that would eventually be great, we all bought a game that was supposed to be great when it launched and improved upon after launch like most modern games. Instead be bought a game that launched in beta and will never be complete.

/steps through the door, immediately dodges a Chain Sword and three Elves still attached to their bar stools, walks up to the bar and places an order for the strongest gut rot on the shelf

Keep the fighting to the battlefield, keep the forums positive and constructive even in the face of extreme derp and we're all good.

If you care so little and have so much fun then shut the hell up and let the rest of us try to make it so it's fun for us too.

If you really "didn't care" about "haters" then you wouldn't be posting why you're so right and we're all stupid.
