Well, I'd be up for it - if anything, I'd see it most probable that we'd have to be ODST's or something of the like, for the sake of lack of snowflakiness.
IF we get a Spartan-II (and not numerous - just one), I think it'd be best if it's a veteran Rper who actually can do it right. Not to mention, with the GM's ok, depending on whom it might be.
And, probly have it NOT be full-on Covie invasions like we see in the games & books and all - just light ones, for the sake of (like said earlier), not a full-on casualty rate that makes them almost Guardsman-worthy.

You could always use later generations of Spartans. They were quite successful AND mass-produced.

I understand everyone wants to be a spartan, but this isn't Red vs Blue! It's meant to be gritty and perilous, not a walk through the park. But I digress, it is what it is. As much as I would love to see it come to fruition, I don't believe the crowd is ready for it. But here is to hoping I'm wrong!

-- Eh, if anything, to me it'd be best to again, keep to ODST's. If everyone's a Spartan, that sort of loses the feel of it (and I goddamn hate the new Spartan IV's, and even then they're like goddamn redshirts in their uselessness)

Oh I know the timeline, I might have been one of the few people to start working up a character. In all honest I would not want to play as a spartan anyway.
