I have awoken from odd dreams fought nurglite and slanneshi cultists both stabbed me in the gut,.. But that didn't save them from being thrown off a large building splattering them. Got my guts shot out though later and just kept moving silentily with little thoughts and occasional pings of pain till Ipa traitor grav vehicle was shot down and a inquisitor decided I was a anomallty t be taken and looked at before I awoke.
Grim Dark <> Horror It is scary on a scale of meeting your death. But it is not psychological horror. That is different. Lictors are masters of psychological horror but while there are tales of that, in stories it is never really explored how scary they actually are and how they play cat & mouse games like the Xenomorphs from the Alien movies.
Well as powerful as anything in 40k is they pale in comparison to Lovecraft as they have Humanity as nothing more than things to be brushed off at a moments notice and that there are gods so powerful they could destroy reality if they decided to. The reason we all live is because we're so insignificant they ignore us. Getting their attention takes a tremendous amount of effort and what not and usually ends up with bad shit happening.
@High_Adept_Zeth - for the record regards 6th coin; it's on halt until we get more Eldar players. I am not going to continue the storyline with 2 Eldar and 5 Imperium players. I will continue again once we have at least 4 Eldar players since I am not sure if Eldar #3 is going to stay active or not and because the gap would be still too big. That said - the Non-Combat Specialist slot is open (s/he is at least black guardian, so not completely incapable of fighting) and the rest could go Ranger/Pathfinder or Aspect Warrior.
