Why not just a regular team of government troopers to take them down with high powered equipment or assassins? Yeah I rembere that. Heheh was thinking ninjas could out dodge a dragon women. Hmmm worlds like those make me think. What would a world be like with super powers like how would history develop differently not only in tools and socially but people. Would normal people be a lower class to a caste of super powered beings. Or would it bormnal humans treat these super powered individuals like witches and try yto kill or get rid of them quickly because there to dangerous and or there powers uncontrollble. Or maybe something like avatar were. nations grow with normal people and powered individuals working toghter under a nation of similiary powered individuals.
I'm certainly not above writing government death squads in or being dark in general. If there are people intrested in the idea I will put more thought into it.
Update on the Super Hero/Villain rp I am now calling the Brave and the Baleful. Whole idea with powers so far is that they appeared shortly after World War Two after the atomic bombings of Nagasaki and Heroshima the blast generated by such massive exsplotioms released something beneath the cities. Exactly what Scientists are still trying to find out but whatever it was triggered a long dormant part of the human genome in some people say five percent of the over all human population giving them incredibly abilities normally thought to be impossible. Telekinesis, super strength, shapeshifting, flight, pretty much anything you could imagine was suddenly possible for these people. To say the least the end if the largest conflict in human history wasn't the only thing that changed the world that day. Suddenly men and women could fly without wings or lift up cars with their bare hands or think on levels previously inconceivable to the human mind. The war torn governments of the world were scared shitless, what was to stop one of these people from simply doing whatever they want? Of course some if these people were using their gifts to forward humanity by donning masks and costumes and helping people but others could just as easily use them to spread terror and anarchy. This resulted in the development of ways of subduing these super humans initially through a high pitched sound that even the most sturdy of individuals couldn't defend against to the modern day Power Limiter chip which is implanted into all super humans at birth once they're chromosome tests confirm their status which use a mixture of horomones and high frequency waves to nullout the super gene's effects. Socially most chipped superhumans are treated the same as normal humans since it's pretty much impossible to tell the difference unless a chip is damaged or malfunctions but there are a few that managed to avoid the chipping somehow or remove them, a highly illegal act which allows them to use their powers. Some become vigilantes like those from the mid 20th century or others use their powers for personal gain through crime and then there are the government trained "offical" Superhumans who work for the government in some way be it in law enforcement or in the military or something less glamorous. Now for the actual powers they are separated into five categories 1. Physical: Super strength, durability, speed, reflexes, etc. 2. Mental: Telekinesis, telepathy, precognition, super Intelligence, etc 3. Bodily: Monstrous form, Shapeshifting, acid spit/blood, unusual bone structure, etc 4. Environmental: Controling weather, elemental bending a la avatar, etc. 5. Miscellaneous: Anything not within the four other categories. And that's what I've come up with so far.
Question/suggestion are you going to have a experience and or advancement system to help tell what a catcher can and cannot do? It may help everyone if you do to see what a charctrer can do and what they can possibly spend exp in to gain more powers or traits.
