As said my Deathwatch currently only has Assault, Tactical and Devastator openings, I guess a 2nd Devastator wouldn't hurt much though our squad is getting big, after you I would have to stop taking new people.

Also there is @BadDo9 free-style tournament, that takes Psykers. But I guess you would have to wait till next tournament :3

Other than that.... Well... My Alien Hive RP I wouldn't mind a 2nd psyker to be honest. (You still can play human, just not Astartes)

I'll take a look at the deathwatch. Probably assault.

  3. I dissapear for a day and all of a sudden a bunch of fresh recruits pop right up to our recruitment center!? Staff! Go get the gauntlet out, it's time to see what these boys are made out of!

Just joking, but not really. I'll be posting the next part of the debate thread soon.

I did have my heart set on playing my librarian character. Perhaps I should make my own RP then. I'm a seasoned writer but I am new here. Is there a procedure I should follow? A guide I should adhere too. Where I come from people just throw up threads, people submit applications and when the creator is satisfied the story starts. How do things work here?

    Generally, it works as:
    1. GM creates OOC thread, which often includes character sheet, perhaps a brief explanation of the RP (e.g. usage of any systems, posting schedules, character restrictions, etc.)
    2. Players give applications of their sheet in via PM or post in the OOC, GM approves them.
    3. Once enough people as determined by GM shows up, then they can write up the IC thread and then off everyone goes onto the story!
So, pretty much as you've described. :)

  6. And if your name is Commissar_Gaunt, you create a complex lore and rule system that is only seen in Table-Top roleplays from back in the day :D

I suppose living on an Emperor titan and drawing funny faces on the Principe's amniotic tank while he's asleep would be a little too silly for an astartes Librarian?

@Maleth forgot to mention to give heads-up of how lore accurate things will be. Basically so far I have seen 3 flavors here:
    - 100% Lore adherent (no fanon and super as the books and codices tell)
    - 66% Lore adherent (generally follows the wh40k lore, but chunks of fanon)
    - 33% Lore adherent (the basis of Wh40k is kept such as races and people, but majority is fanon and out of the window)

    A bit. :)

  9. Even the Astartes would be hard pressed to enter the hallowed confines of a Titan unless they hailed from one of the more Cult-Mechanicus Chapters such as the Iron Hands. I'm also pretty sure that marking the Princeps amniotic tank would be a very serious crime regardless of your rank as an Astartes that would probably end with them besieging the High Lords of Terra for your head as technically while they are an "Ally" of the IoM, they operate outside the regular chain of command similar to the Adeptus Astartes and Inquisition.

Needless to say, an Astartes acting in such a manner would be brought into question of their faith and spirit. I know for sure that if one of my men acted in such a manner in the Marines I would of had them chained in the stockade awaiting medical evaluation. When you're in a frontline unit or in this case, an ever present state of war you can't take risks like that even if it's a joke. Jokes get people killed and nothing can bring them back.

    *Fixed for CommissarGaunt accuracy

Well then, I suppose the Ad Mech really does have no sense of humor. A shame. None of my characters or myself would of course deface such a rare and magnificent god-machine but it woukd be worth a chuckle or two before being sent to Terra to talk to those nice inquisitors with plasma cannons. In that big fortress under the antarctic that a lot of people go into but not so many come out of.

But on a more serious note I'm not sure I understand the difference betwern lore and fannon. Everything in the rulebooks, codecies and maybe the black library and horus heresy books would be accepted lore because they're written by GW but this universe is so big and our body of knowledge is so small that virtually everything could be cannon so long as the setting, races and any established characters are treated with respect. Glancing at the deathwatch thread, Uriel has clearly done his homework and written an extensive outline. Would that level be considered 100% lore? Whereas 33% lore would just be messing around in the universe without worrying too much about accuracy? (Area history, chapter battle doctrine, color of tyranids etc,)
