''We're...refugees. Homeless, like you. Looking for somewhere new to live,'' Daveth said.
''It's lying, typical green filth,'' the dwarf, Magnund said. ''Ah see nothin' for it tae eat down here. How's it survived this long, eh?''
''How did you survive down here?'' Daveth asked.
''Who cares? Let's jus gut it, 'fore it slits our throats.''
''Be quiet, dwarf. Why don't you lead the others back upstairs, to find accommodation for themselves? The group needs to rest, for we will need our strength for tomorrow.''
Magnund muttered something, but did not protest. He walked back upstairs, taking most the group with him.

OOC: If you're not questioning our green friend, then please go upstairs and find yourself somewhere to rest.

I'd like to get our first proper day in the city started. I'll be offering up suggestions of where to go and what to do. You'll be free to complete them as you wish.

As Magnund came back upstairs, Branner took notice of his disposition and decided to ask the irate dwarf for help. He may not be the most diplomatic, but if there's trouble in the lock room above he could not ask for anyone better to have his back aside from an angry dwarf. The young hunter turned to Magnund, "Excuse me, Mr. Magnund? We have a locked door upstairs, and we're not sure what's behind it. I understand your frustration with the goblin downstairs, so I promise if we find anything upstairs I won't stop you from... doing whatever you want with it..." Branner also looked at some of the other men that were downstairs, hoping they would join as well.

Branner nodded and quickly ascended the stairs to the second floor before Magnund could change his mind. When he arrived he found that there were at least a bit more light than before as Jürg (@Loldoom ) opened some of the ragged drapes on the windows. The young hunter nodded his thanks.

"Sorry about the wait, we had a bit of a situation in the basement." Branner hurried to the locked door and pointed it out to the dwarf behind him. "Here it is Mr. Magnund. After you." With that he motioned for Jürg to give Magnund some space while stepping aside himself to allow the dwarf plenty of room to do what he wants with the locked door and whatever... whoever is behind it.

The dwarf, already angered by the goings on below, decided that simply charging in to the door was his best bet. After all, it's just a door.

Magnund burst forward, and rammed his shoulder in to the door's wooden face. It cracked and groaned, as it exploded in to a storm of wooden fragments.

''There's nothin' in 'ere, lads,'' he said. He re-emerged, brushing. ''Well, 'cept these.'' He held out a few pieces of jewelry that he had found on a shelf inside, coated in dust. Gold, mostly. Nothing too extravagant, but certainly nothing to turn their nose up at.

"Much appreciated work, master dwarf. We should get those to Daveth and the others." Branner smiled and headed down the stairs. Upon seeing Daveth, the young hunter walked up to the bearded man. "We've found some jewelry upstairs, need to replace the doors though. They aren't much but they may be enough to fetch us enough gold to get some tools to start making this place habitable, though I have to admit I ain't got much experience with pawning and fencing things."

The young hunter then went and looked for the companion he had left behind. The fainted girl and the woman helping her were both slumped against the wall near the front door, both fast asleep from exhaustion no doubt. Branner gingerly assisted the woman to a more covered corner, and half-dragged, half carried the girl to the center of the house by the entrance to the basement. He had originally thought of bringing her down the stairs, then realize that they probably just tumble down given the lack of strength left in his body. So he sat down and covered the girl with his own body, leaning against the wall.

He took care to share what body heat he had around the girl, knowing that she was probably too weak to stave off the cold during the night. His eyes began to droop, and the last thought he had before sleep overtook him was a hope that their shared body heat will be enough to keep them both alive long enough to see dawn again.

  10. Elma alma follows the people who go upstairs but before ahe walks up she asks (ooc im just assuming theirs a fire place if not correct me) "mr daveth shall i light the fire place?" After she got her answer she followed the dwarf to see what was behind the door that had the hunters attention and after seeing the brute strength of the dwarf shattering the door she starts thinking of a weapon to craft for him once they have their own smelter and such but when he comes back out with gems she couldnt help but stare at them for a long while ".....those are some pretty gems you have im sure theyd fetch a fine price" elma alma sat in the place that seemed like the living room and she sat down in the middle and just looked around at the inside of this house smiling
