Finally, someone who isn't a prick, "Oh sir, you are too kind! I will buy 14 coins worth and send a prayer to gods for letting us walk into a such a generous soul's shop!", offering said amount of coins he began taking the loaves and handing them out for the others to carry. After all, all this gold was heavy and he had to delegate. Assuming that went off without a hitch, the gentleman would wish the baker good day, etc etc, asskiss asskiss. Once they were far enough away from the shop, Jürg whispered to one of the others: "Remind me before we go there again to take one of the little brats along, I'm sure the baker there would love to see them."
"Well, not buckets, but I think they'll work!" Branner grabbed a few broken pots. After checking them for holes at their 'bottoms' and finding two adequate ones. He looked at the cart thoughtfully. "Since this can't serve its original purpose anymore, do you think we can break it down into wood pieces for repairs around the house? It might save us some gold at the carpenter's." He looked at Wolfker (@Vulpas ) waiting for his reply before actually acting on the second thought.
Wolfker- "I agree friend breaking this down can give us some wood. Though How are we going to get it back into the city. That and it is possible for whoever did this to the cart could still be around to possibly raid it again and possibly us. If we do break it down I suggest we do it one at a time and another stay on guard to watch the others back." Wolfker said as he began looking through the kart to grab some pots that weren't totaled
- Teefrippa Not expecting the hoomans ta share they're new shines with him, Teefrippa left the house to visit the well. 'Humies wants woter fer drinkin' hehehehe, but they don't know. Teefrippa knows!' The little goblin thinks happily to himself. Walking past the well, which was old and weathered, he come to a particularly thick brush. Pushing some of the branches aside finding a moss covered boulder hidden behind the foliage. At it's base grew plump mushrooms. Whether these were edible to humans would have to be determined, but Teefrippa couldn't get enough of them. "Nice n big. Got too many last time n ran out. Wiff hoomies runnin' round, better make em last longah." He plucks three of the large fungi. Maybe if people asked the little goblin, they might just learn of other such places. 'Icky blue fruity fings are growin again. Nasty n sweet, bleh! Birdies eatz dem n Teefrippa eatz dem. Wonder eff hoomies eatz birdez o berry fingz?' OOC: Sorry for being MIA, wasn't seeing the updates.
"Well we can worry about the wood later. Let's just get some water back to the house so that the people there can drink some and wash up first," Branner said with a tinged of a flush on his face. Images of the pretty redhead girl flashed in his mind. He shook it off quickly and grabbed two of the adequate pot pieces from before and filled them up at the well, then went back to the house to give it to the first people he sees, so that he could repeat the process until everyone's at least got their fill of the water.
Alma elma rubs some of her sheckles together "im sorry for bothering you "alma elma frowns " it appears i lack the ammount to pay for the bed..." alma elmas face ahows utter defeat "forgive me for waisting your time"
OOC: We can assume that the food will last for the foreseeable, basically until I say it's running low. -14 gold from the warband. & OOC: The idea is good. The cart is indeed in the city, though. OOC: Just reiterating this point, because I like it. OOC: That's okay, it happens. ''No problem. Perhaps another day?'' ________ With the task of finding food and water successful, the group could turn their attentions elsewhere. ''Alright folks, listen up. I know that none of us wanted to be here, but things are what they are and we've got to make do with the hand we've been dealt. Now, if we're going to make this place more like a home, we're going to have to lay down some rules, organise ourselves and try to look out for each other,'' Daveth said. ''I want you to all pick a room. Some folks might have to share. And I'm open to any suggestions you have for how to proceed next.'' OOC: The base's map has been unlocked in the google docs. Pick a room, and it'll be yours. At this time you can invent any NPCs you want to have. They'll need a name and a small bio. They'll then share your rooms with you. After that, feel free to give ideas for things people can be doing and/or things you can be doing. I have a few, but I want to let you guys get out there before I give my ideas.
Branner quickly eat his share of the basic meal and grabbed two extra shares of food and water. Daveth just began setting rules down and ask people to begin choosing rooms to stay in. Branner decided that he had to make two stops first. First he went in search of the little goblin from the basement before. (OOC: Gonna assume he came back to the house at this point @DaKaptin ). Upon finding Teefrippa, the young hunter gave him one share of the food and water and began to apologize. "I'm sorry for trying to tackle you before little guy. I just didn't know if you were part of some gang out there who would come back with bad people to kill us. But you've just been pretty helpful, or at least not harm anyone so far. So I'm sorry about before again." Some time after the conversation ended, Branner went to look for the red haired girl from before. He found her at the same room he had darted out on. His heart began beating faster when he caught a glimpse of her. He shook his head, took a deep breath, and walked up to the young lady. Holding out the food and water, he said. "Here, we brought some food back. Sorry about running out from before. Felt like I should give you some room. By the way I never got your name, so what's your story?" OCC: I'll hold both conversations with the assumption that they take place at different times. I'll just label before each section so that it's clear who Branner's addressing at the moment.
As wolfker arrived with Branner with water he placed the shares down on a table with the other rations as he got his share he began to eat again. He ate slowly so he could regain his energy and not get sick again. As he heard the suggestions for Picking rooms he said. "I will take one on the second floor at the end of the stairs. (J) He said as he then wen't to look for Branner. "Branner Wan't to head back and see if that cart is still there?" Wolfker said as he began drinking his ration of water.
After both conversations @Vulpas Branner looked at Wolfker and nodded, "yea let's go." After regaining the strength from the food and water (not to mention rest from last night), he set out with Wolfker to see if the cart was still salvageable at the last location they found it in.
