    !GAME THREAD!

    http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/road-of-damnation-casual-rp.45222/

    !DESCRIPTION!

Obviously a counter product to Road of Blood. This is actually an Unholy Alliance RP. BUT NO WORRIES! There won't be cross-overs. There won't be one RP manipulating the other or so. It is just a good damn excuse for me for a Chaos RP concept.

This obviously takes place like Road of Blood in early M42 (~012-014.M42) 3rd War of Armageddon and 13th Black Crusade still go strong, but they started over a decade ago, so keep that in mind! Same as Road of Blood these events have happened:

    https://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/deathwatch-free-rp.4066/

But it doesn't affect this RP really except for the sake of referencing. So no background knowledge needed since you will be indoctrinated uhhh I mean educated of what you need to know.

Oh and another note... If you hope to find here out who is member of the Unholy Alliance for purposes of Road of Blood.... That ain't gonna work ;) You belong to a cell that has nothing to do with them, so screw you! :D

The stories happening here is about a mixed Chaos group that are recruited to wreck significant terror against the Imperium. It is noteworthy to say that we still can come across Xenos and may work with them to cause more trouble for the Imperium or we may attempt to manipulate them to work in our favor. I mean nothing speaks Chaos more than attacking a Tau world, making it look like it had been some Ultramarines and make them really angry, right? RIGHT?! (If you answered no, this RP is nothing for you :p)

    !PLAYABLE CHARS!
Lost & Damned (Any sort of former IG soldier, Mutant or other Human-ish thing)
Chaos Marines (Anything from Khornates, Tzeentchian Sorcerers, Slaaneshi Sub-Woofer Troops or Walking Corpse, I ain't care)
Renegade Marines (Non-Mutants and Apostates that still wanna screw with Imperium)
Fallen Sisters (I ain't care what lore says, what proof there is, you can play as a heretical Sister, we got one as a Head nurse for god's sake! :D)
Dark Mechanicus (because @High_Adept_Zeth needs a character :p)

    So as you can see:
No Chaos Aliens. We are still very human and we hate Aliens. ALIENS ARE EVIIIIL. But Mutants are cool. So if you tend to be a Human that can change his skin like a chameleon, that makes you a useful Mutant for us!

No Daemons. Nobody can control these guys. They are mad beasts of the warp! You still can play a possessed dude or have a possessed weapon... But expect to go super mad, bruvva! Aaaaand eventually you may explode violently and actually be the Daemon....

You start with 0 special abilities or traits, you will earn them through the game. Sorcerers of course can do all sort of spells, but you won't need an exact list or so. In-game you will simply try to cast a spell and depending on circumstances it shall work or not.

    !MORE CHAR RESTRICTIONS!
Take something in the middle-field. No need to go Conscript / Meatshield Cultist style or Chaos Lord.
    Therefore:
    - No Chaos Lords
    - No Chaos Champions
    - No Terminator armors
    - No Master crafted equipment
    - Not too many chaos god blessings should you belong to any god already (3 in total should be fine for start)
    - If you don't want god related blessings, you may have up to 3 Mutations instead.
    - You can praise/belong up to 2 gods or play Chaos Undivided or even Non-God (Renegade style), but more you would need to unlock through playing and your behavior. Don't be a Nurgle-guy if you don't understand what he stands for :)
    - You may have multiple chars (but please them all with equal attention, except you want a side-char for occasional use, like a nurse or something)

Inspirational help for Mutations & God Gifts:
    http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Gifts_of_Chaos

I will try to make you awesome traits / talents related to your accomplishments during the mission, similar to how Deran and Colapse managed to do in the past.

    !PLAYER NOTE!
No non-consensual sex scenes, in fact no sex-scenes at all. PM them if you wanna PM them out, but respect player wishes should you be a Slaaneshi Cultist that 'needs to get off' You can skip the whole crap and just imply it shyly, alright? Failure to comply will result in perma-ban from this RP. I take this serious because players may feel strongly about it. Slaanesh =/= Sex, alright? Same though counts if you go super gross scenes with Nurgle-stuff or so. If you are unsure if you go too far or not, please ask the GM (me) and/or the affected player.

And of course: Nobody has plot-armor, you can die. You can get hurt, you can lose limbs.

Wait we have someone with us in the road of blood that is part of the unholy alliance?
I thought that was only the grey knight
I have a question what about abhumans or random old things from lore? what kind of mutations can we have? Can we use things from the book can we make some up?
Also Are we allowed to bring back older characters from a older RP or refrence older RP charcters?
    I also plan to join

Just when I was thinking, 'Oh, I'll slowly get back into RPs! Let's not overdo it!', Urian comes and creates another one, only this time with blackjack and Chaos.

...just a few idiotic inquisitorial puppets;)

    Name: Redeger uq Hashet

Class: Lost and the Damned: Corrupted Astropath

    Gender: Male

    Association: Independent

    Regular Equipment:
    Main weapon: Channeling Staff
    Secondary: Sacrificial knife
Accessory: Psy-to-voice device in neck, lost vocal cords during training.
    Armour: Heavy robes
Helm: Silver Crown, disuades most warp predators.
Special Item: Eye of the warp, a jewel on the silver crown that amplifies Redeger's telepathic power.

    History and Appearance:
Picked up by a Black ship many, many years ago on a planet in the Segmentum Pacificus, Redeger was chosen for astropathic training. Taken to the Adeptus Telepathica to hone his skills, which were not bad at all. When the day finally arrived for the Soul-Binding, Redeger journeyed to Terra as all must at some point. As he looked around the birthplace of humanity though, he realized that he did not want to go.

He had barely experienced the world and soon he would be attached to some admiral ferrying messages across the stars. Not to mention that after the ritual those who passed were, different. The closer and closer he drew to the palace the more this feeling of selfishness and fear grew, when the ritual finally started the astropath had no other thought then to escape this living hell. Passing out from the exhausting trial the psyker dreamt of something terrible yet wonderful happening, a sudden journey through the veil and back again.

When he awoke, he was no longer in the palace, but instead on some strange world. The line between reality and the immaterium thin. From then on Redeger has traveled through the Eye providing his services to any willing to pay, eventually amassing quite a few artefacts. Seeing most all disturbing things that the legions of the damned have to offer. It is still unknown to him how he managed to end up in the heart of chaos, whether the work of some deamon, warp entity or fate itself...

As I have a history of making OP chars, please evaluate on a scale of: "Too Stronk/Nerf plox":p

What about Night Lords? I could go for something Night Lordish. Yes that's probably unexpected but after this week at work you know what? VIOLENCE FOR THE WIN AVE DOMINUS NOX

... totally understand if having me join is too weird :p
But I had a think and you know what, a different style might be fun to try.

    Name: Argyle Voncarr

    Class: Chaos Astartes

    Gender: Male

    Warband/Legion/Other Association:
    Khorne

    Regular Equipment:
Power Sword [Balanced for double or single hand grip]
    Bolt Pistol
    Collar of Khorne
    Power Armor MK Six 'Beakie'

    History:
Born a Noble's son upon the Feudal World of Argarius Argyle lived a relatively cushy life of luxury free of most laborious duties. This left him with an inordinate amount of time to do as he cared, for a great number of his peers this would mean indulging in more delinquent or tender past times, for Argyle it meant a narrow minded dedication to the art of perfecting his physical form and studies into matters of war and most importantly the blade. This was most favorably looked upon coming from a family of well known commanders with a penchant for being particularly ruthless and unforgiving on the fields of battle.

Early into his years Argarius was descended upon by a small renegade warband of Astartes calling themselves the Crimson Shrieks looking for plunder, murder and fresh recruits. Being both a prominent name and military family of their world the Voncarr's were the first to the fight, and most notably the first to turn. A profane name was chanted amongst the Astartes whom tore through the mere human resistance and in it Argyle heard strength, like so many others, and found his blade turned toward his own world alongside those of so many other cultist streaming in the demi-gods wake.

It was in Argarius' dieing moments that Argyle found himself clashing sword upon axe with a rival son to his third Uncle. His victory was swift, if well earned, and the wash of blood from brother against brother, of utter domination amongst his surviving family sealed his devotion to Khorne and more over marked himself out as worthy of recruitment into the Crimson Shrieks.

Standing as a newly anointed Space Marine and warrior of the Blood God Argyle found himself an oddity amongst his new brothers in arms. Namely that he was still sane and had some ounce of dignity left, unlike those other barbarian war gods he now stood with. To find himself disgusted with others of his ilk so soon after ascension left a poor taste in his mouth and of others whom had the misfortune of sharing conversation with him. As such the young Astartes soon saw himself off to the stars as soon as he could, fleeing the warband and leaving them to whatever fate they found while he plied the void as a mercenary and pirate collecting blood and skulls for Khorne while carving out his own very much minor name against other such renegades.

Now he has found himself in the service of the Unholy Alliance, as an Astartes dedicated to Chaos who actually appears fairly normal and knows something of court interactions he has the ability to act as a sort of face if requested during interactions with those of a more loyal tint or whom might not be so readily swayed by a more uncouth being. Of course outside of such finer activities he is first and foremost a warrior entitled to all the blessings of gene-enhanced body and well learned skill at arms at his disposal.

    Appearance:
Rare are the moments Argyle forsakes his armor, only stripping so that war plate might be seen to an adept for repairs, or if one is lacking he himself will tend to it as he has learned to do over the years. The armor itself is a standard suit of Mark Six Corvus pattern Power Armor washed clean of any heraldry or marks of alignment, sitting at its flat grey base color only ever to be painted in the heat of combat with fresh blood. When going to war he will don a tabard marked out with the visage of screaming Blood Letters stepping around the brass symbol of the Blood God to announce just who exactly shall be claiming the souls of the dead that day. Whether off or on the field Argyle always wears his Collar of Khorne to guard against the foul touch of witches and warlocks, though if traveling somewhere best to keep his allegiances hidden a rather fetching black scarf will be coiled about his neck to keep it out of sight.

Like his collar both bolter and blade are ever at his side. The former being a simple pistol drawn only to cut down chaff standing between himself and worthy prey, while jutting up from just over his shoulder is the handle of a power sword. Pommel spiked for added utility in combat the rest of the handle is crafted from reinforced wood about an actual metal core that merely serves a sense of vanity whilst the blade is about as basic as they come being a double edged straight sword made from standard materials. Argyle carries no real attachment to the weapon despite it having been with him for decades, intending to reforge or replace it into something worthy of a name when the opportunity arises.

Aside from his equipment all that remains is Argyle himself. His physique is built much like any other Astartes, leaning toward the tilt of an agile duelist rather than a hulking brute for those capable of discerning such subtle differences amongst the copy and paste muscle heads that make up those Space Marines, whether Emperor or Warp bound. Of any difference from other battle brothers Argyle is blessed with a full set of hair dyed walnut brown and tied back into a pony tail that usually hangs lopsided off from either side of his neck seeing as his power pack keeps it from draping down the back. His features are a bit sunken yet not so deep like an Astropath and instead are just angular enough one might actually find him handsome.

A quote to sum it all up: "Power in Posture, Power in Arms."

#1 DUN DUN DUUUN. We are chaos here, I may mislead you a lot if I feel like it. Cuz Tzeentch and Cegorach are playing Poker again.

#2 Abhumans yes. Old Lore that were killed (Squats) nope. Except you got a very good reason!

#3 For available mutations see the lexicanum link or come up with some cool stuff that is not OP, then I may allow it as well.

#4 'the book'? What book? What. But yeah generally you can make books up and fantasize their content as long as it makes sense. for gods sake I do the same with Sirius and the Codex Astartes.

#5 Yeeees older characters are fine, I will do a lot of referencing anyhow most likely.

    QWRWJIQORJIOQWJRIOQWRIOQWHRQ

I've no real reason to bring Orghast back, once again that was me mostly waxing nostalgia :D besides I might be getting to play Nurgle stuff elsewhere so for now, I'll give a Khornate Knight a go!
