- Edward "Edd" Club Edd was rendered dumb for a moment, the psychic presence of Be'lakor proving almost too much for Edd to cope with. Protecting Fenix proved even more difficult so long as the greater daemons lived. Slamming his shield into the ground, Edd leaves it to give them cover from the demon's attacks and give himself something to lean upon. The plague prince dog's attack slammed into Edd with terrifying force and power. The Slab Shield oxidized and cracked in a matter of seconds. It was then Edd's implant BONE activated an as of yet seen subroutine; [Code name: Demonslayer. Activating inhibition suppressors and aggression accelerators. Blood toxicity 23% and rising.] Edd's pupil shrunk, auto targeting the First Demon Prince, and all but Hulking out. Edd's BONE had determined an unwinnable situation, and as such deemed it necessary to set Edd to "die fighting." Even if Edd survived the battle, the damage done to his brain and body chemistry would be forever changed. As his aggression only increased, Edd wouldn't be able to speak for much longer. At least coherently. "Ey'll be right back Rocky. Gotta a enemy ta crush. FOR DA EMPEROR!" Leaving the remains of his shield behind, Edd charged the Great Demon Prince Undivided. Not a thought to his own life or death. All that mattered was his orders, killing the enemy, and... wasn't there something more? When Edd tried, he couldn't remember. [Redacted! Impeding thoughts suppressed. In the name of the Emperor.] Edd fired his storm bolter into the demon. Trying to force it back into the immaterium. His bayonet seemed to spark with golden light with each shot. Every blow fueled by blind faith and barely contained rage. As always, Edd only fired until he got within rage to either stab with the bayonet or strike with his bionic fist. In this case, both would be likely. "RAAAAAAAAAAAGH! DIE CHAOS FING! DA EMPRAH WANTS YOU GONE!"
The spirit remains of tempestus floated around roland purgotory with him "let us end this brother" as he spoke he alowed toland to do what he must (Ooc sorry been distracted by somethings)
"I shall honor your sacrifice, you have served and endured long enough, brother. It is time to join your brethren at the side of the God-Emperor." Roland replied to the psychic remains of Veritas and reached with his left hand for Purgatory. Equipped now with two blades and the support of at least one fallen mind, he made haste for the invincible foe. He leaped up high with all of his strength, aiming to land on the shoulder or back of Be'lakor and sink both Power Sword and Purgatory into his spine to at least weaken him. "FERON! PUSH HIM BACK! NOW! INTO THE PORTAL WITH HIM, SO HE MAY NEVER ESCAPE THE WARP AGAIN!"
<Main Level> As Purgatory, first with the help of the little drake, then with the help of Tempestus' own spirit, flew through the air and ended up in Roland's hands, the Ultramarine like a Champion would do, leaped through the air and rammed both swords into Daemon's back while the fiend was too busy fending of the Salamander Terminator. Once he felt the blow, Be'lakor roared in rage, his shadowy substance slowly being drained away as it spilled over into the Warp. "IF I'M GOING, YOU ARE GOING OUT WITH ME!" he shouted while trashing with his claw, he reached where Roland was holding and gripped him. Under the strength Ultramarine's spine and back snapped but was it sheer stubbornness or something more, Roland didn't let go as more power discharged into Be'lakor's body. First Prince trashed around, too busy trying to get the wretched Marine of his back to fully defend himself from the blow which came moments later. First it was Edd who like a wrecking train hit the Daemon straight forward, pushing him back towards the very edge of the Portal. But the finishing blow came from Feron, who's strength amplified by Vulpin's last vestige of power manifesting as a helpful spell and the blazing hammer he had in his hand, punched Be'lakor and in magnificent blast of bright light sparks, the fiend was basically launched backwards into the Portal. Last thing Salamander saw of him was that he still tried to rip apart Roland who didn't let go even then, Purgatory blessed with the spirit of the last Watchman floating around it burning through daemonic tissue. But as they disappeared out of sight, Feron saw a shadow of something other in the depths of the Portal, on a pale face two eyes made of pure obsidian nodded in approval before vanishing altogether. Be'lakor's final scream broke hold which he had of this place, the shockwave hitting the Slaaneshi Lord who still battled Marmaroth and made it lose control, dropping the guard for one single moment. A moment enough for the Chaplain to ram Ill Omen into Daemon's chest which made it explode into tiny pieces of Warp energy through which Flesh Tearer marched like it was mere smoke. Seeing the wounded Fenix, alongside Talon and Ancalagon and besides those on top of the Ziggurat were the only ones alive while others were lost in the Portal, which began lashing out around the place, burning through the sea of the dead and breaking stones off the Ziggurat, Marmaroth knew what he had to do. Climbing up the stairs he helped his friends up while gripping Feron's forearm. "You have done all I could ask of you Brother and more. Now it is up to you to continue with the fight - we have caused the Arch Enemy a blow he will not be able to recover from soon. But still, there is so much to do in order to ensure our victory. This is my last command to you. Carry the knowledge and truth of what you have learned during this service with you and with it, destroy any remnants of shadow. I see now that my original choice was good after all. Now I must leave you to fight the same fight, but on a different place than this. We shall see each other again Brother and until that moment comes, may the Emperor watch over you all." With that said, Marmaroth, Scion of Sanguinius, Prophet of the End Times gripped the weapon long time ago carried by a Primarch, and walked into the Portal, disappearing amidst the purple storm, leaving survivors behind. Around the same moment couple of figures arrived on the far side of the chamber. Couple of Salamanders under the lead of Drakvaar and a squad of Flesh Tearers with none other than Gabriel Seth in their lead. As the place began to buckle and break under the increasing impacts from raw Warp energy which came from the Portal, Salamanders went to pick up the wounded while Seth shouted at Feron. "THE STATION IS FALLING APART! COME, WE MUST EVACUATE!"
<Feron> It felt as if his lungs were nearly ripped out when that final blow struck home, Skull-Splitter seeming to drain his body and will of every spare ounce of energy to power a final mighty blast expelled upon Feron hammering into Belakor's center mass one last time. A blinding eruption of fire blew back out around him before fizzling out into a cloud of embers, stinging his eyes and leaving him to only guess at whom the face might of been in his momentary daze. Even then his attention was trapped squarely upon the fading sight of his brothers falling eternally into the warp until they weren't even a speck amongst the multi-color madness. For several seconds it was all he could do to breathe, to watch until Marmaroth had his arm. Coming back to reality he turned partially to face the chaplain. "Emperor keep you Brother, none who ever served his will are ever forgotten, that won't change for our fallen and those that yet live. " Watching another comrade descend into the depths of the warp he turned away, waving the blessed weapon high. "Retreat! This entire place is going to hell around us, we have won, let us live to savor it!" Moving to check on Vulpin whom had lent him so much energy during those final moments the hulking form of the Terminator offered him support while watching his own kin approach, still utterly in the dark as to their being here beyond what background noise he had picked up upon during their gauntlet run here. Tipping his head as a stray whip of energy lashed at the stones casting up a fine cloud of gravel over them he didn't see much to follow up on in regards to Seth's order, certainly wasn't going to argue it. "Edd! Collect Talon and Ancalagon, we're done here!" Only a single hiccup was made in his retreat, a brief deliberate stop to collect what remained of Temvero after the Nurglite had slain him. Ash and bone cupped into Tempestus' former helm, Feron refusing to abandon either in that dire moment.
Ancalagon dogs Feron's heels, tugging desperately at his ankle and making urgent motions at a simple, well-turned Kaisen-zukuri force sword lying forlornly on the ground. The little drakeling can feel the weapon keening for the loss of its master and the lack of a hand to wield it, and his uncanny instincts tell him that the sword's story, like its master's, is far from ended.
"Thank you" Vulpin said as the terminator Helped him up. He quickly picked up his force blade and the Hilt for heavenly pillar intending to Return it to Tempatus Student Carlarth He attached it to his belt as he also picked up the skull probe there bounty hunter used Intending to return it to her since she had some type of connection to it remembering how she wen't looking for it soon as she awoken among the flesh tearers. As he looked over he saw a salamander collecting Fenix "Lets get our wounded and get out of here." he said as he got up he could feel his wounds taking toll on him. He kept up beside Feron as he wen't "This is the last stretch it seems, Besides having to regroup with Carlarth and Rocky before getting Sen't off on our way. Do you think Draconian came with these reinforcements of your Fellow kin?" Vulpin asked as he kept up with Feron his wounds from his face to his chest and his arms. As he noticed The Drakling Nudging to Feron and the force blade he picked it up as well. "Are you talking about this young Drakling?" Vulpin asked as he picked up the force blade. "We will have this returned to the salamanders along with you, For now lets get it out of here with the rest of us." Vulpin said as he wen't He handed the Two things to Ferons Draconian's force sword and Heavenly Pillar hilt to return to the salamanders and Carlarth.
Ancalagon's anxiety visibly eases when Vulpin recovers Ryugamaru. Pouncing on the fragment of Draconion's ornate dragon faceplate, he takes it up in his jaws and, with a bound, leaps atop Feron's backpack to hitch a ride.
Each attack took its toll on the Bounty Hunter's strength. Physically battered and mentally scarred by it all. Luckily Dart's synthetic eyes fell less of the visual chaos assulting them. Before long Fenix became reliant upon it. Auto target and 360 degree vision had its benifits. However upon entering the First Demon Prince's lair, both were cripped. Dart's float system shorted out, as though the very light it emitted offended. Crashing to the ground with a crunch, it's metal frame damaged by a mix of gravity and rust. Luckily his main skull appeared undamaged. Fenix was another issue. Be'Lakor's presence overwhelming her rooted in order mind. Every fear and painfuly memory hitting her all at once. The laughter of demons and the cries of dying mortals in her ears. With all the will she could muster, Fenix reached out and took hold of Dart's exposed frame. Barely a thought holding out and on. If not for the timely aid of Edd, Fenix might have died there. The servants of the Demon prince prove no less deadly and corrosive. Many fell to the demonic horrors, but hope was not lost. The howls of monsters rose within the chamber. Changing the laughter to inhuman shrikes and bellows. The light chasing away the shadows, and warriors of gold closing reality behind it. [... Damage assessment. Anti-gravs 1-3 unresponsive. Main harness is rent. Side compartment accessible. Neat! Biological interface... Fenix? You there? Hello?] It was then Inquisitor Vulpin took the probe into his arms. [Gently. Gently! This is delicate equipment you're dealing with here... Oh right, they can't hear me. Kind of makes this part pointless. *sigh* Hope Fenix is alright, and everyone else too, but mainly Fenix. My primary directive would allow nothing less.]
