"Right behind you Vulkanson," Satoshi happily replied as he followed behind Feron, sniper in hand and Talon in pocket at the base of the stairway up to the next level.
<Feron> "That ugly mug of yours reminds me of another man I dueled with once. " Feron Threw his bulk against the obliterator, using his knee to hammer Fux's leg, a slash downward piling up enough wounds to make it give. With his foe's full weight slipping on the buckled limb he propped him up with a blade lodged firmly through the throat. "I didn't like him, but he was a good sort in his own way, hard worker, Emperor loving man. I let him live, you? Well, now that's something different. " Power fist slackened around Skull-Splitter's ornate flame haloed head in those final moments allowing Feron to hammer it into a shrapnel pierced temple, scattering a mixture of skull fragments, bionics and brain matter across the floor like a an overturned bowel of a Haemoculi's left overs. Watching Tempestus finish off the third monstrosity several other battle reports were acknowledged, their foes were dead and the path clear. "Understood Marmaroth we'll see it done. Roland, Tempestus front and center with me. Draconion, Satoshi anchor our rear, Gaius, Edd our flanks, rest center. If anyone has any grenades they would like to lend their commander I'd be deeply grateful. " Of course he wouldn't just ask for donations, taking a quick moment to rummage through any dead traitor Astartes corpses along the way for more ammunition for his launcher that were immediately on their path. Setting himself up as the tip of their spear he began trundling on down the stairs.
< @DeranVendar > "Commander, I have a Krak grenade, I believe. Also, what are my orders?" Temvero asked, looking over at Draconion. < @Draconion > "I said I would protect you, brother." He said, panting as his chest wounds tried to close. "Did I do acceptably?"
<Feron> "You count as the rest, hold our center and act as a reactionary element. Hold onto your last grenade, only looking for spares don't want anyone under equipped. " He made a rather interesting sight without the storm shield that was so standard to hammer bearing terminators, instead that combat blade was still trapped in a gauntlet along with Skull-Splitter, flames having died down to a simple wary mist of golden light about its head.
"il take the lead down the stairs" as he spoke he turned and started climbing "im wanting to find the lord of this host as he tried using carlarths voice against me"
<Feron> "By all means then Brother. " Stepping aside to allow the possessed suit of Terminator Armor to take the lead.
"im also the one to least likely die to a lascanon shot" as he passed feron he spoke in a hushed tone "i will proberly not leave this station after this mission"
"I will likely head with the rest of you all heading Up give me a bit to charge up." He said sounding a bit tired from the last fights Ordeals with him using his psychic powers to take out the top of the stairs. Will be in the middle with the rest of yeah guys and Satoshi If so I can provide a shield if needed." He said He also began looking for the munitions for the final fight among the dead possibly. He hefted his Storm shield up now looking to the damage at it. "Think anyone knows how to do any quick repairs?" Vulpin asked as got ready with the others.
<Main Level -2> Going through the corpses, they could find scarce choice of grenades since their "hosts" obviously either used them already or placed their trust in some other kind of weaponry. Needless to say, they could find enough frag and krak grenades for all of them to take one of each if they wanted to distribute it evenly across the Team. Draconion managed to fix his wounds but it was required of him to keep the focus at all times since the wounds were more serious than he expected. Of course, this wouldn't be much of a problem if he was taking a stroll through a park and not getting into psychic duels, but still, only time will tell if this even proves as a hindrance after all. But as they grouped up around the staircase and began going up, every single person in their Team, psyker or no, felt various degrees of pain bulging in their forehead. There was a change in all-around atmosphere, which could only be identified as major usage of psychic powers somewhere on the station. Of course, every psyker could feel that the line between the worlds was not even thinning, it was being erased altogether as the leader of this Chaos force began unleashing the endgame. Leering faces appeared on the floor and ceiling while whispers of long dead comrades began assaulting their senses as they walked the spiraling staircase. <Main Level -1> Reaching the next floor of the Station it soon became clear why all of it happened all of a sudden. They entered a vast chamber, two times bigger than the last one they fought in. Parts of it were open to void where the Loyalist fleet hit the Station, however most of them were sealed by energy shielding although that wasn't really the issue here. What was the issue is that they saw the stairs leading to the last level and the lair of enemy leader completely on the opposite side of this chamber (which actually used to be a hangar - this was known to Space Marines who had extensive knowledge of Imperial designs), but in order to cross it they had to deal with what's in front of them. Myriad of warp portals, both big and small were located all around the chamber and they spat forth the raw essence of Chaos which manifested in a tide of Daemons of various shapes and forms. Most of them were ugly beasts which couldn't even manifest in their full form, looking like groups of flesh put together by some madman. Others, who had more strength took shapes of Horrors and Flamers. What they could guess became clear once they spotted a monster on the far end of the chamber, a horned pink creature floating on a purple disk, waving with its staff and directing the monster tide onward. Herald of the forces of the Lord of Change was there, and to reach the other side, they had to pass through them all. OOC you have to slog for like 800-900 meters. You can see at least 7 Warp portals spawning various daemons (it's Tzeentch-only host so you can expect his stuff coming at you). This will be more like fight against time as the clock is ticking and the veil between the worlds is about to go boom 100%
"lets move quickly" as he spoke tempestus chanted and created a sheild around him and to the sides of him "il act as an arrow tip draconion and vulpin add your powers if you can while we run, if that is fine with you comander"
