<Rescue Team - Temvero, Satoshi, Vulpin, Sigismund, Amraphel>

    OOC pushing forward:
Eventually, everything was settled. They were to go to the pyramid via underground tunnels, enter it and try to rescue their friends or die trying. While they are busy with it, Swarog and his men would stay back and launch an attack on the enemy host once the Team draws its attention on it. The plan wasn't one of the best but they couldn't really do much more than at least try to help.

In any case, after they prepared themselves, they set out once again in the darkness of the underground Ellander. It took them around an hour to reach the place their guide told them its the entrance. It was, of all things, some kind of a hatch. "They used to mine some ore in this place, using the human slaves for it," the guide explained, "After it was over, they never closed it shut. Or I should say, they never closed this one shut, because there were others like it but aren't accessible anymore."

"When you enter it, you would emerge in one of the side corridors approximately beneath the great welcoming chamber on the base level of the pyramid. We have rough estimation that your friends are somewhere below, on one of the lower levels but just how far does this building go, we were never able to investigate of course."

Once the goodbyes were told, their guide left them to their own doing right before he opened the hatch for them, yet another dark tunnel awaiting them on the other side, before the man left carrying a vox unit for communication for the moment Sigismund would give the mark for the human freedom fighters to engage. But now, what was important was somewhere inside of the building in front of them...

    <Prison - Edd, Rocky, Carlarth, Fenix>

As soon as Edd spoke he saw that something strange happened - the energy field which was there to prevent them to escape (instead of bars) flickered and turned down. There were couple of clangs down the corridor before they could hear sounds of heavy boots approaching fast. Moment later, before the Ogryn stood a familiar figure armored in black power armor, the skull helm giving a slight nod. "I heard your voice all the way from the entrance," Marmaroth spoke, the words perhaps might have been understood as a taunt before Edd heard the Flesh Tearer chuckle, "Not to mention Rocky's snoring. Wake him up and lets go, Angelous told me the backup systems will soon kick in and energy will return to the cells."

Once they left their "rooms", they could see that the Chaplain wasn't alone in here - familiar forms of Kajar, Sitri, Gaius and Angelous were there as well, Storm Lord and Howling Griffon standing guard at the entrance, Techmarine standing in front of some alien piece of tech and interacting with it while Lord of Destruction waved them over, pointing at couple of open crates. "Your gear Brothers," he said before he took position near Marmaroth, who turned his attention towards the psyker. "Carlarth, I want you to open the mind-link towards Vulpin and tell him of the current situation, so we could better organize. The plan is simple - we are all going to converge on Necron Lord's sanctum which is, if the Blood Raven is correct, couple of levels beneath us."

The moment he gave the order he began marching back, "Let us make haste, the aliens won't kill themselves."

<Bridge - Feron, Dorallius, Volorox, Brandt, Ixtab, Zeth, Draconion>

OOC @High_Adept_Zeth go on with the posting, I'll bot Xaphen's char since his last post was on Thursday, so we shall continue on. I'll bot him according to what you do :) I will also hold Brandt (and Dorallius ofc until @Grall_Stonefist posts) and the side with Immortals in stasis (to a degree) until you post.

The incoming Immortals were still further away, so Draconion's powers weren't able to take the heaviest toil on the enemy, only one alien falling on the ground as the psychic plasma annihilated its repair protocols. Its companions were of course unfazed by this display of Warp powers as they continued onwards, soon reaching the entrance to the Bridge and probably getting a fine shot at the Dreadnought, if they don't get stopped in the meantime.

But as for the Librarian, he would have to worry about something else as one of the Lychguards advanced on him, using the shield to batter the Salamander before swinging its sword in a diagonal cut that would open his neck and chest if it connects.

Marine Malevolent's first grenade did little to the aliens, as the Necron held its shield which completely protected it from the blast. However, the second grenade which exploded above its head washed the alien in shrapnel, damaging its head and taking out one of its eyes, although the damage not concerning the creature one bit. As the halberd came down, Volorox managed to lock it to the side of the shield and toss it away, however Lychguard anticipated such move and let go of the shield so it could attack while Assault Marine was busy with his move. Alien's sword flashed and carved through Volorox's shoulder pad and down the left arm, opening it vertically from biceps to wrist, leaving a deep gash that began spitting blood.

The element of surprise was enough for Tempestus to take out one Necron carrying the scythe, cutting the alien in two. The second one managed to move back and out of the sword's reach, while the one carrying shield simple locked it in place with another of his friends, the hail of bolts getting reflected back on the Dreadnought, although it didn't do much damage to him other than taking out some heraldry. However, since he was the biggest threat, another Lychguard came at him and rammed its big Warscythe into his sword arm, damaging some circuits and slowing its movement. It came just in time as the one who previously evaded Tempestus's blow charged forward, aiming its huge weapon straight at Tempestus's chest, wanting to find a way into his "heart" and kill his flesh form.

Feron's fire did little damage as Lychguard attacking Tempestus simply shrugged it off, leaving Salamander to deal with the enemy in front of him. This particular alien indeed tried to block, as it calculated that the relic hammer was the bigger threat here, which left Feron with being able to riddle the thing with couple of bullets. Sadly for the alien, Salamander's aim was good, the projectiles penetrating necrodermis and damaging the machinery inside. It made Lychguard stagger backward, just in time to see Skull Splitter closing in with its metallic face and destroying it alongside a significant part of its chest. The alien dropped dead on the ground, which made Feron able to continue to his next opponent.

However, then his vision blurred as he was suddenly surrounded with hundreds of dead Salamanders fallen on the black ground of Nocturne. His mind raced to fight against this, but then he also saw his comrades from the Team among those dead - Draconion, Dorallius, Volorox, Gaius, Jannika, Marmaroth, Sirius...they were all there, staring back at him with their glassy eyes. Even though the part of him knew this was all fake, his mind had trouble compensating. In reality, this only took around 4-5 seconds, but to him it seemed as eternity. Like usual, this was only the beginning.

From the darkness of the broken wall came the death incarnate. The alien towered over all Marines, taller even than his Immortals servants. His armor was silver and gold, although the gold was looking quite worn out. In his hand, he carried a long staff that blazed with sickly green light. As he moved, he had such effect on the Team that it seemed like their spirits went down, all of them besieged with nightmares and silent terrors, Feron taking the biggest brunt of it, while nearby Necron Lychguard looked invigorated, throwing themselves twice as hard on the Team.

But what was most important for Feron is that during those couple of moments when his mind was engaged in a different battle, his guard was down, which the Necron Lord used quite deviously. He came at the Salamander, slashing with his staff in a downward strike that aimed Feron's head. As it connected, the Marine was thrown on the ground, his face a ruined mess as staff's blades easily punched through ceramite and took out his left eye and parts of his cheek and jaw, leaving him with a deep scar and lots of blood (OOC for further clarification - the slash came in a straight line up from your eyebrow down the cheek and ending at jaw, 1-2 centimeters wide).

    Enemies: 7 Immortals, 8 Lychguards (3 with Warscythes, 5 with shields and swords), Necron Lord (Gear: http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Staff_of_Light ; http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Lightning_Field ; http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Nightmare_Shroud ; ??)
  2. <Dorallius>
Dorallius opened fire anew at the necron lord, his bolts wouldent do much against the necron lord, he needed a plan, but first he also had to get Feron out of the melee.
As he then quickly moved forwards towards Feron, he took his bolter to one hand, it was less stabile, but he knew his aim would be true as he primed another krak grenade. Hopefully that would give him the moments to assist Feron to get out of that melee this very moment.

Some fields surrounded the lord, but Dorallius would not deter as he made the short lob now that he too was very close, hopefully Feron only needed a hand to get back out.

Draconion grunts as the impact of the Lychguard's shield rocks him. Just in time, he flings up both swords in an X-guard, catching the hyperphase sword on its diagonal arc. Planting his feet, he borrows the momentum of the Necron's swing to spin it off to its left side (assuming it was holding the sword in its right hand) to turn the shield hand off the line and expose its wielder. Maintaining the weapon lock with Purgatory, he lashes out with an ascending diagonal backhand using Ryugamaru - grasped in its limb of phantom flame - aimed at cleanly bisecting the Lychguard's torso and burning out the guttering remnants of its soul.

Whether or not the attack connects, he follows through by flinging the Lychguard bodily through the air into its comrades with a massive telekinetic wave. Assessing the situation grimly, his teeth bare in a silent snarl of frustration - both Tempestus and Feron are in danger and he only has time to go to the aid of one.

Coming to a split-second decision, he sends the drakeling swooping and rolling through the air at the Necron Lord, breathing plasma heartfire at its head to function as a painful distraction. As an additional nasty surprise, the beast jinks and swerves from the Lord's return blows, diving down between the construct's legs. There, it offloads a pair of plasma grenades plucked from Draconion's belt - which mag-clamp themselves to the Necron leader - before scooting off to flit through the confused melee once more.

While his drakeling is off distracting the Necron Lord, Draconion ploughs into the melee surrounding Tempestus, whipping Lychguard units off their feet with his tradmark telekinetic 'table cloth' manoeuvre to clear a path to the most immediate threats surrounding the venerable Dreadnaught. As the main attacker prepares to impale the Dreadnaught on his warscythe, Draconion takes a long lunge forward to cut through its arms with Purgatory's matchless edge, following through with an ascending diagonal forehand cut with Ryugamaru to bisect the mechanical abomination and finish it off.

    <Feron>
It was the Dragonstrife all over again, Nocturne drowning in the bodies of its sons and a terrible foe defiling her already scarred surface. In the far off murk of his rational mind Feron knew everyone was yet alive, for whatever catastrophe could create this many Astartes bodies and wipe away the space craft graveyard for Nocturne's bleak surface would of killed him too if it were anything but an illusion. Between the bodies danced various wraiths that rose up in whirlwinds of sand, dust devils acting as surrogate markers for his still fighting comrades that appeared only as ghost of a battle lost, were it not for his trials within the Saint's tomb he might of actually believed them.

    To be Unclean
That is the Mark of the Xenos

As so many brothers before him had the Salamander turned to Catechism and Prayer to steel himself. The Necron Lord had attempted to suffuse him with crippling fear to land a killing blow, yet despite his ruined face leaving half his world in darkness and the other in searing pain he began to rise. Fear was as alien to an Astartes as their foes were to humanity and as that part of his mind responsible for commanding the battle detached it made room for something else: Righteous Fury.

    To be Impure
That is the Mark of the Xenos
    To be Abhorred
That is the Mark of the Xenos

Skull Splitter felt lighter in hand than usual as Feron brought himself to full watching as several of the dust devils about him projected grenades toward the Lord. In the aftermath of both krak and plasma grenades only a lingering vortex of light was left, nightmare shrouded mind taking this as the aftermath of a teleportation effect Feron lunged forward to pursue willing to throw himself into the maw of the warp itself to pursue whomever had wrought this trap, whomever dared push such a massacre into his vision while having the gall to leave him only wounded rather than dead.

    "To be Reviled
That is the Mark of the Xenos!"

He was belting it out loud now, for his comrades dead or alive to hear that they might join him. Emerging through the aftermath of the grenade blast he sought out whatever awaited him, whether new land or old, a million foes or a single Lord.

    "To be Hunted
That is the Mark of the Xenos!
    "

A mist of jade static and arcing lightning was there to greet him, dancing from Necrodermis to Necrodermis empowering and protecting Lord and Guard alike. It lapped at his armor leaving grooves of scorched paint in his ceramite and cooked flesh underneath. This was just fine though for if his foe would be lightning, striking, swift and burning, he would be thunder; relentless, deafening and earth shaking. Skull Splitter arced out ready to smash apart whatever lay before it and Feron.

    "To be Purged
That is the Fate of the Xenos!
    To be Cleansed
For that is the Fate of all Xenos!"

His bellow had become a roar, each line of the Catechism from the Death Watches indoctrination punctuated by a titanic double handed swing of his relic weapon. The white-azure power field about Skull Splitter clashed against the menacing emerald lightning surrounding the xenos commander, providing a stark contrast about the both of them in a scene that might of served a fitting inspiration for a grossly exaggerated portrait of mankind's heroism.

"A thousand deaths await you here Necron! A thousand more in whatever hell your misbegotten kind shall rot within. Brothers! Sister! If you hear me still then know our deaths are not bound for this day, no we shall not fall but they! " Both worlds were starting to meld into one, Nocturne's surface now bore the scars of active fighting between Kill Team and Necrons, Space Wolf carcasses joined his felled Salamanders along with the scrap heaps of dead Living Metal. They would see this through, even if it was the death of him, that much he promised himself.

Ixtab grabbed Zeth's arm from falling strait off and held it in place for him to hold. He knew he would start to admit the radiation on his fellow Skitarii, especially with the open wound, but Radiation poisoning was the least of both their concerns. They were stuck in a tight situation and the only choice would be to tactically retreat, and even then it was possible for them to be shot from the back.

+Brother, take heed. Tactical retreat should commence, now. You are still functional take point, I shall cover you.+

As promised, Ixtab quickly popped out of cover and began firing Rad rounds down at the nearest Immortal. Each of them whizzing and lighting up the rubble filled air with neon green. Sadly for him, the rounds would be less effective against non-organic opponents. While the armor would still be penetrated like any other, the poisoning effect would not take hold of the Necrons. Or so he imagined.

OOC I'm sad to see that most of our players are inactive or busy, so I just wanted to inform you that I will not write post for each player that I bot, instead I'll just write what happened eventually for that team (for instance, guys on the planet) because I am terribly busy atm and have no wish to RP with myself :D also, those of you who are still here have no fear, even if there are 2-3 ppl left I will push and do those 2 more missions which I have in mind before the RP ends :)

    <Bridge - Draconion, Feron, Ixtab, Dorallius>

The world around them shook as the heroes of the Imperium clashed against the ancient "undead" aliens and their vile science. Ixtab's aim was true as he managed to drop one Immortal after the other with his precise shooting. They fired back at him, creating holes in his shoulder and torso, but the venerable servant of Omnissiah held on. On the other side of the combat, things were brought up to new height as the Necrons tasted holy adamantium while Team fought off to survive clashes with hyperphase weaponry.

Tempestus's coffin was damaged in number of places, his movement impaired as he lost his footing and crashed into a wall, two warscythe's completely obliterating half of the Dreadnought body. But before they could finish the job, Draconion arrived and killed the first Lychguard with the precise swing of his sword while destroying the other with his psychic power, clearing the area of immediate threats.

Dorallius's grenade exploded in front of the Lord and made him miss his next attack aimed at Feron, however then a lighting bolt arced from its body which hit Excoriator straight in his chest and sent him flying over to the other side of the battle. However the bolt didn't burn him alive (although it once again left him with scars all across his body), the artificed armor saving him there. As he got up he saw Sister Brandt getting impaled through the chest by one Lychguard, who died moment later as the Canoness activated 3 krak grenades and blew them both up.

Little Drakeling flew around and managed to place one plasma grenade on the side of the Lord's leg before the Necron smacked the creature aside with a strong blow of his metal fist, the creature getting rammed against a wall and slumping there, losing consciousness. However then the grenade went off and took out Lord's left leg up to his knee, although the alien kept his stance somehow by helping himself with his staff while a number of smaller scarabs went outside of his body to try and repair the damage.

Feron charged at that same moment and was almost successful. Necron Lord saw the danger and pointed his staff outwards, the gauss energy forming a beam that went straight through Salamander's stomach and made him lose his footing, the hole big as human's fist. But before the alien could finish him off, the familiar form of Thunderwolf pounced on him and began struggling with the Lord, biting and clawing at him, tearing of his armor piece by piece. Much to Feron's horror, he could see as damaged as he was, the Necron Lord managed to take a hold of the Wolf by his mane and impale it on his staff, rising it high in the air as if to show everyone his inevitable triumph.

But every true servant of the Emperor knew that vanity is for the weak - Necron's self-confidence made him reckless and open for attack as his focus was now on the soon to be dead Thunderwolf...(OOC @DeranVendar you can finish him off, @Grall_Stonefist & @Draconion you can kill off remaining Lychguards)
  7. <Dorallius>
Dorallius pushed himself up as he got showered in some of the fragments from the canoness explosive death, a sad loss, but this was a very dangerus battlezone.
As he then quickly got up, Dorallius exchanged his bolter to his pistol and blade, as he once again charged forwards. He could see that Feron was dealing with the lord, though he was also in a bad place, so Dorallius knew to get the lychguard so that Feron could kill the lord in his hubris.

Dorallius lobbed his last krak grenade towards two of the lychguards, their brought up their shields to deflect the blow, with luckily wasent energy based, and as they did so, Dorallius made his last bolt forwards, and jumped forwards just after the grenade exploded, though the blast only staggered on of the two lychguards, what came after knocked one completely to the ground as Dorallius smashed into the staggered lychguard while firering for the head of the other, blasting out the ocular machinery in its head.
He then with a quick motion stomped the head of the fallen guard before quickly moving and stabbing his gladius into the neck of the other, though it was tough metal that met it, the blade cut through, desaibling the necron for now. He knew both theses could get back up within minutes so they would need to be finished off, but what was most importent was that they where out of the fight now.

(ech, not my best, but serviceable.)

[OOC: I have lost count of how many Lychguard remain, so just plug in the appropriate numbers.]

Time slows down for Draconion as the battle teeters on the edge of a knife. In the blink of an eye, Tempestus is on the ropes, his sarcophagus ripped open by the deadly warscythes, with a final mechanical killer poised for the killing blow. In the same instant, the Canoness Brandt goes up in a blaze of martyrdom, taking her killer with her. Feron goes down with a massive hole in his abdomen, though the tough old veteran is still in the fight, albeit in a bad place.

What really wrenches Draconion's heart, however, is the mistreatment of both his drakeling and the Thunderwolf. As his little familiar gets smacked across the bridge to strike the far bulkhead and the noble wolf of Fenris coughs out its last on the Necron Lord's staff, Draconion's eyes blaze with cerulean fury, his open mouth radiating the incandescent heat and showering sparks of an open forge.

With a roar of draconic fury, he unleashes a psychic bellow more powerful than he has ever before managed. Radiating out from him, the shock waves blast surrounding Lychguard off their feet and send them tumbling across the deck. The closest shiver to pieces, their necrodermis crumbling away from their green glowing power cores which then crack, then shatter under the psycho-physical onslaught, self-immolating in storms of jade-green lightning.

Giving the enemy no time to recover, he presses the psychic assault, compacting them into a ball of twisted necrodermis limbs with a telekinetic trash compactor and then launching a massive ball of psychic plasma into the centre of the mass to immolate the lot.

    Volorox-
Volorox winced in pain as his left arm became open the blood coming out to the left side of the ship covering the floor and brothers beside him. He in pain as he slashed back parrying the necron. He needed to hold his ground He activated his jump pack as he saw the battle through out the area things were going bad he looked to his belt defiantly as the cocky necron lord impaled the thunder wolf he he grabbed his plasma grenade and chucked it at him. He quickly jumped back as the necron in front of him tried to finish him off. He raised his arm and activated his flamer activated as he took him on His own halberd then wen't forward as he charged forward aiming to impale the necron. As the others died around him the ancient falling to the Side and the canoness going up in flame taking a foe of the imperium down with her and the salamander falling short with a hole now in his chest he knew they would need to end this Now. he let out a roar of rage as he charged forward. "YOU WILL NOT BEST THE EMPERORS FINEST!" he roared as jump pack sped him forward.

    Vulpin-
Vulpin was scouting ahead of Sigismunds group scouting ahead he was with his force sword and bolt pistol at hand his psychic familiar was in his back pack as his camo cloak was active he stayed hunched down moving from rock to rock trying to sense there friends he kept trying to ping where they were psychically by giving out a telepathic ping to carlarth trying to detect her own psychic signature. "This is vulpin here. I haven't spotted any enmies I am still trying to find The team though getting hard to try and find them because of these tombs." he said over the vox to sigismund.

Satoshi followed Vulpin, and while his voice was relaxed, Talon on his shoulder certainly wasn't. "Don't worry I.V. I've got your back." The Ronin followed the inquisitor as they headed deeper into enemy territory, with Mamushi in hand, hoping to reach the rest of the team soon.
