"they may just be curious about the ship, it dose not mean they are heretics" as tempestus spoke he let the others see him camly hide Carlarth stood at the front of the dune that the others were hiding behind waiting for the others to get in position "do i have permision to lie to them if they are heretics to cause them to think im one of them" "yes go ahead" as tempestus replied he wounderd who would join her on the front then made a decision "inquisitor vulpin id like to ask if you would assist carlarth"
Robo-griffin When Sigismund first saw what lay inside the box, he didn't really know hat it was. Out of pure curiosity he turned the key. A dreadful sound of metal grinding and screeching ensued, whatever it was a simple twist had awoken it. Ball joints fitted into place and pistons fixed themselves to thick limbs, the thing going from twisted scrap to something altogether leaner and more regal. (This, but thicker, with talons and a more pointed beak, wings totaled) Except for the wings however, it seems the greenskins had had some 'fun' with those, as they were crushed and torn to point of ruin. Even to an expert in the arcane artifacts of bygone ages, the thing origin's would be a mystery, though one might hazard a guess at something from the dark ages technology or perhaps even an invention of the Interex. But as Sigismund was no scholar, he only noticed the sharp talons, massive beak and what seemed like a place for a rider on it's back. Staring in awe for a moment, the knight finally spoke to the engineer that he had betrayed: "I can do nothing more than apologize for letting myself be used as a weapon of the enemy, and promise to crush the enemy all harder with this Warmachine." Planetside (2) As he saw the procession coming towards them, Sigismund dismounted from the Warmachine, a better name he had not found yet, and left it with the astartes. Now wearing his plate armour, the knight still chose to wear the cloak over it, perhaps to remind himself, perhaps for better cover against the sandy wind. On his belt one could see a stun grenade, smoke grenade and one krak grenade, but the cloak covered them from most prying eyes. "With your permission, @lord-watchman , I would also go to greet them, I shouldn't raise too much attention." He honestly wasn't too sure about the ancient one's feeling's for him, though he knew Amphreal's opinion quite well. The new recruits didn't know anything about his past deeds and Edd and Rocky were at least cordial.
"go on then" as he spoke he then turned to look at the knight "dont beat yourself to much for the past, i have done worse than you" carlarth spoke into her vox quietly "if the knight is coming down get him to leave the mount there as it will draw to much atention" as she spoke she laughed "oh im gona have fun with you all" "you havent turned the vox of carlarth" as tempestus spoke he sighed "id actualy like to ask if youd watch her sigismund as she is proberly worse than you can relise"
At Gaius' prompting, Draconion releases his acceleration harness to go to the cockpit to view the deathscape that is the moon's surface. Surveying the ship graveyard in sombre silence, Draconion decides to mark out the nearest high-elevation landmark to better map the surface upon debarking. When the ramp is deployed, Draconion trots out on the dusty surface of the moon, pistol in high alert position as he scans his target window. Deciding the LZ is secure, he glances about for his chosen landmark. "Draconion to Force Commander - heading for marked elevation to establish OP. Recommend Skitarius Zeth accompanies me - his weapon would provide the best overwatch from such a firing position." With that, he first ensures firing lines and overwatch have been established, then glances down towards his heels to make eye contact with the drakeling trotting beside him. A brief tendril of thought extended towards the creature elicits an affirmatory brush and sends the little creature soaring heavenward on outstretched wings trailing a colourless haze of psychic power. Setting out at a jog, he delves into conscious control of his Astartes physiology, manipulating his catalepsean node to multitask sensory input from two sources - his own senses and those of the drakeling flying far overhead - all to build a picture of the landscape while remaining surefooted and present on the ground as he fast-trots towards his vantage point.
- Rocky and Edd When the meeting was concluded, the duo made their way to the newly established armory. It appeared to have expanded, compared to when they were aboard the Angelfall's. With Edd's new Grenadier Gauntlet, he loaded it with concussion grenades. A clip of four loaded, with a spare and extra clip of frag grenades. With only 12 shots Edd would have to think strategical... He's just gonna fire at random like usual until coming into melee range. Only now he's have a Slab Shield. Edd carried the heavy shield upon his back when walking, freeing his bionic hand to manipulate doors and such things. Rocky might have thicker armor, but that didn't mean he was going to change his style. Armed with both needle pistol and Stub Revolver; regular and dragonfire rounds. Though he was interested in trying some new grenades for this mission. The usual Smoke and krak grenade, but now including a Cryo and EMP grenades. The new carapace armor prevented him from carrying his hidden knives up his sleeves. That was troubling, but it's not like he used them very often anyways. 'Nothing a needle round to the face can't fix.' Both Abhuman's boarded the transport for the planet's surface. Edd's shield now strapped down beneath them. "Rocky?" "Yes Edd." "Are their gonna be tyranids?" "I hope not Edd. I really hope not. Why do you ask?" "Last Planet we fought em they was on a desert world." "That was a starving splinter fleet. Tyranids aren't know for attacking places with such low biomass. Besides, they'll probably be cultists or traitor forces." "I don't like them much either, Rocky. I just like knowin' wot ey'm fightin.'" Edd said casually. Then taking the remainder of the landing to thank the Emperor for the fight to come and that they wouldn't let him down. If only we had know before... Edd still would have done it. (Planet side) Rockywas wearing tinted goggles and a strapped on wide brim to keep his navel hat on. The sandy wind was brisk and blowing constantly. "I think Edd and I will stay with the Venerable Tempestus. We don't know he the locals will react to abhumans. Besides, it would be best to keep the two walking tanks here. Where they can't be shot at by frightened primitives." "Who's in charge again Rocky?" "The Dreadnaught war machine and Astartes." "Oh! Hello giant angel Tempestus sir!" Edd says with a Salute. He did this when serving Feron before as well.
"hello edd" as he spoke tempestus chuckled "i have to say its been a long time since someone has saluted me"
He smiled slightly at the kind words before going off to join the meeting team. "I will if you ask it", he spoke into his vox bead to the dreadnought, "She does seem to be quite, feisty..."
"just be carefull she may be emotionaly unstable still, she has been alone on a space hulk for a long time" as he spoke he chuckled. as the knight apoached carlarth her hood had hiden her face as she started spining her staff in the palm of her hand "well sigismund, what did you do that made you so self loathing" as she spoke her eyes peared out of the hood "and there is no point lying to me im able to read the minds of many"
<Moon Team> OOC will give a bit more time for someone besides Draconion to respond before I push it a bit more forward @Uriel1339 "No problem Brother," Gaius smiled, understanding (to a degree) what Sirius had to do in order to progress as a person. In any case, once the troops were down on the ground the Stormbird got up and went eastward of the team's current position, towards a place somewhat free of ruined ships. The ground was filled with crags of all sorts of size, possibly made by wind or other element. "There, scanners show that in those crags you might find some vegetation, if you ask me perhaps something that grows in a cave or underground, since I don't see many plants surviving hellfire." Opening the ramp, Gaius nodded towards the moon. "Have fun Sirius." <Planet Team> Following orders, after finishing with the troop deployment, pilot brought the cargo ship up and soon disappeared in the skies above. Remaining hidden behind the dunes, part of the Team only watched as the newcomers slowly approached their position, the scopes of Temvero's and Sato's guns tracing the humans while Carlarth and Sigismund took the place at the middle of the road, awaiting those that soon came closer. But instead of an attacking group or a scouting party, what came into view was quite another thing. A long column of men and women, chained in pairs slowly walked under the watchful eye of various taskmasters riding something like Sigismund used to, but instead of a normal looking horse, this one had another pair of legs and couple of horns sprouting from its head. Humans who rode those beasts as well as those that looked like guards wore light armor made of leather and various clothing, some had scarfs and turbans over their heads and mouth to protect them from nature's elements while others went without those. For weapons, some were armed with long spears while others had swords, shields and bows. Worthy of mentioning is that some of the taskmasters also carried whips with which they made the chained people go faster. Somewhere in the middle of the column, which by their assessment was at least 500 men strong, was a giant beast even for Imperial standards, wide as a Leman Russ tank but taller. It had four legs, big horns and long fangs coming out of its mouth, although it didn't look like a predator it sure was scary (OOC imagine a pumped up elephant) as most of the people tended to avoid it, afraid by the wheezing sound it made as it roared through its long nose. On top of it, it carried a large construction on which couple of humans sat, riding the creature and protecting the one which was in the center of it, lying on a large bed (OOC like a litter or whatever the word is) filled various pillows and other stuff to make the travel more comfortable. As the first rider saw Carlarth and Sigismund, he shouted something in language that sounded nothing like they knew, just a bit twisted by some strange dialect, and a cadre of riders moved away from protecting the "convoy" and towards the duo, surrounding them a bit later, the points of their spears pointed towards Carlarth's and Sigismund's necks. "KO STE VI? STA RADITE OVDE?" the one that was apparently the leader of the riders asked the duo, his tanned leathery face looking quite angry.
"well this is akward" as she spoke carlarth let her voice go into his head and to try and learn his launguage "we mean no harm we are travelers from the stars, what is going on here"
