tempestes waited for a while for anyone to ask a question then one came he did not expect "you told any of them the secrets of your gene seed" as carlarth spoke she had left the pilot seet and grabed a bag from under one of the chairs "also i dont want anyone knocking this while we are on transport" with that she went back to the pilot seat and was silent
After all preparations have been done and the Team finally reached their transports (the people going for the planet taking one of the cargo ships while those heading for the moon boarded the Stormbird "Chalice of Agony"), everything was set and the lights went green, signaling the departure. As two crafts headed towards their objectives, the Chaplain alongside couple of those warriors that remained behind watched their progress via instant holo-feed wherever they might be on the Hulk. "The hawks fly towards the eerie, but the Huntsman hides the true meaning of death," Kajar addressed his Commander as both of them were in the middle of being armored, Storm Lord using his own version of Chogorian battle chant that some found interesting while others found lackluster and to a degree stupid, but were of course polite enough (or smart enough) not to offed the Champion. "Have no fear, old friend," Flesh Tearer replied as servitors fixed his angelic jump pack on his back while he gave few quick impulses and the twin motors ignited, just to be sure they worked at 100%. "I am confident they will deal with whatever awaits them down there without our help. Is Sitri ready?" "The Rider doesn't like to separate himself much from the Borrowed One, he loves it way too much," Kajar chuckled, "But yes, he complies and is awaiting us." "Good," Marmaroth nodded before locking his skull helmet in place and taking Ill Omen in one handed grip, the black blade looking even darker in this place, especially since the material didn't reflect the light whatsoever, "Then we are prepared. Come Brother, there is something I must show you." .... <Moon Caerne> "Ahh, they told me it'll be windy, but not this much!" Gaius complained as he struggled to keep Stormbird on straight trajectory, courtesy of moon's upper atmosphere that was "filled" with all kinds of devastating winds, or at least at this place as they approached it from its darker side, careful to evade the blazing inferno which was on the other (OOC basically, if you watched movie "Chronicles of Riddick", this is the same place like that planet Purgatory, where that prison was. Side of the moon facing sun is scorching hellscape while the one that isn't facing it is just a gray, burned out wasteland. And the moon is ofc in process of turning around so what was once just gray place is soon to become burning hell and vice versa).. Flying beneath the winds and weak clouds, they could finally get to know Caerne better. "Brother Draconion, I think your prognostication was on the spot. Look," Howling Griffon pointed through the window, where before them a large mass of burned out forms could be seen. However, after looking more closely at it, they could see that some of the forms weren't made by nature's hand, in fact they were human in origin. Or at least, that's what they could see from up here. Ships, many ships, or better said - their broken husks polluted the surface of the moon. Burned out and half buried under the grey sands, they stuck out like some monstrous monuments to man's failed attempt at conquering the stars. The ground was filled with them, the Stormbird flying over something that had every attribute of a graveyard. "Damn," was the only thing Gaius spoke as he headed towards the signal they were supposed to investigate. "I'll drop you off somewhere around here," he pointed at a clearing nearby, the closest ruined ship being a kilometer in front of them, "So you can continue on foot. The site of the signal is uploaded to your huds and dataslates," they could see that the place they looked for was couple of kilometers North, where exactly they couldn't say at the moment since the geography changed quickly under the constant pressure of nature's elements. "The scanners show more heavy winds incoming and it will be problematic for me to keep this craft up. Depending if the parameters change, I'll either remain on the ground or head up and try to find more suitable location to stay hidden until the storm passes. Also, keep in mind that the moon shifts and in less than 24 hours, all of this will be covered in fire so either complete the mission or find some place to hide." Finally landing and opening front ramp, Gaius gave them green light so they could finally disembark. <Planet Ellander> On the other hand, quite different than the trouble which Team that headed for the moon had, Team going for the planet had no problem with weather or atmospheric issues. In fact, as they went through the upper atmosphere they came across a yellow rock which didn't look like much at all. A huge desert for all the eye could see, scanners not showing winds whatsoever while the sky was clear, no cloud could be seen for miles around. "Looks like a good place to go on a vacation," the co-pilot, one of the Stormtroopers who also served in this role grinned as he looked through the feeds. "Lord Feron said that we should keep in mind of separating the Team in case the need arises? But so far, the only thing that is interesting here, besides this sand, is a mountain range to the south and that city in the west, where we are headed at the moment. Lord Watchman is the leader, so if you wish, keep in mind that there is nothing out here besides those two things, or at least that's what we see at the moment." Eventually, they came in view of the city, which was much bigger than they anticipated. A wide river flew through it while various buildings filled its banks. Obelisks, statues and other things that might interest an archeologist could be seen on the morning sun as people walked the streets and going about their business. What also caught their eye was a huge building that took the central plaza, a golden pyramid blazing as it reflected rays of light and looked like a beacon of some sort, pointing the weary traveler to it. "Do you wish to land inside of the settlement or outside?" Co-pilot asked Carlarth, "I'm asking so we don't scare them off right on the start?"
"Outside" as tempestus spoke carlarth throned "i dont need more people with delusuions of us being gods than needed" "outside it is then" as carlarth spoke she looked at the co-pilot "when we disembark id prefer you to return to the hulk and we will send a vox for evac if needed" as she spoke she moved her hand to her bag and pulled out her snub revolver "also make sure not to get shot down on your way back"
<Planet Ellander> "Alright, but be warned that if I return, we won't be able to send help that fast. In case you need it, of course, I don't think these peasants will give you much trouble," co-pilot noted as he landed the craft some distance away from the city, probably a mile or two. They landed in the middle of a desert, as the ramp went down the first thing that greeted them was terrible heat and dry air. Of course, that didn't bother Space Marines in Team, but it could be especially troublesome to those humans not used to such weather conditions. The only thing worthy of mentioning is that there was a wide road nearby, it headed towards the city in one direction, while in the other it got lost amidst the dunes, the destination of it impossible to discern. What was also interesting that further on the horizon, down the road and coming from the desert side, only possible for Marines enhanced sight (and Talon's eyes) to see was something that looked like a column of people headed towards them, but they probably weren't able to see them yet.
Getting off the transport, Talon immediately took to the sky. Satoshi unslung Yumi from his shoulder and carried it at rest. He was about to make some comment on the heat that he doesn't feel when a screech from Talon cut him off. He gave the rest of the team a look before heading for one of the higher dunes to get a good area of view of the landing site as well as the surrounding area to set up shop. "Looks like we've got a welcoming party. Whoever bags the most traitor's heads wins the game ladies and gentlemen, may the best Ronin win."
"Dont over react" as he spoke tempestus looked at carlarth as she got off the cargo ship "well asstartees and dreadnaughts stay hidden carlarth and anouther normal size human will meet the incoming group and if needed we will launch an attack"
<Amraphel> -before landing: Amraphel chuckled as he saw the pyramidical building from the cargo freighters window, it reminded him of times long gone, of great and learned men but sadly they weren't wise. A wise man knows his limits and knows when he is the one being toyed with instead of the opposite. It had been a tragedy that deeply bothered him, how many collections of knowledge had been put to the torch that day, how many Innocents butchered, with the wolves screaming out loud. He hadn't been there personally but accounts of the slaughter had been widespread. After thinking about all this for a minute he also remembered that the thousand sons had been sighted earlier, all of this made perfect sense. We wondered if he should warn tempestus, but after some consideration he resloved to wait for a while. -after landing: As ordered, he stayed hidden but nevertheless stayed vigilant watching for the first signs of hostility. He opened both his pistol holsters and laid his hands on the weapons, ready to draw and fire at a moments notice, At the same time he extended his helmets vision to maximum hoping to see if any of the approching people carry any weapons.
Temvero took cover inside the transport; hidden, but still able to draw a good line of sight to the dune where Sato was standing. Serenity's scope was hooked to his visor, and he was ready for anything that might occur.
<Moon - The Apothecary> "Can you deploy me somewhere closer to vegetation signals once they are deployed?" The Son of Guilliman asked enough to make it actually sound like a question, rather than a demand. But with enough demand to signify the importance of it. <Moon - Sister Renate> She was one of the first out and due to the immense weather conditions she decided to put her helmet on, given that delivering faith would be better while not constantly struggling to breathe. Her helmet was certainly old, perhaps even an artifact but it had been restored many times as one could judge by the uneven plating on various spots. Once the group deployed, she took position near Feron, remaining in silence while scanning for enemies of the Imperium with her zealous eyes.
Satoshi got to the top of the dune and laid prone facing the supposed "meeting spot." Yumi laid in front of him, ready to rip any and all heretics to pieces. "Overreact? Big Chief, I'm the personification of calm and harmony!" He voxed back, a finger on the trigger of his sniper (yay alliteration).
